Modern wooden tables, outside area as well. They have quiet Chinese music on. The workers are friendly as well. They will make any drinks on request. Prices are reasonable as well. First topping is included with your drink purchase. Your options are bubble, lychee jelly, pudding grass jelly and red bean. Will def come back here!

Everything you need in a good milk tea cafe!

Great little boba place tucked away from the main Street. Don't forget to check in for 10% off! I loved their Thai milk tea with boba, hit just the craving I had for something sweet but light after lunch- that would also cool me down from the summer heat. The free wifi is awesome, and they have outlets to charge your devices. Very quick, courteous service and decent price for drink size.

    Very good milk teas

Glad we finally tried this place out. Loved that we're able to order the teas with less or even no sugar. Even my husband is hooked.

One quirk is that you have to place your order through the electronic kiosk where…read morethe register would be, but the worker was friendly and told us to ask if we had questions. I got the Whale Crystal, a drink of blue coconut milk and tao jiao (peach tree jelly). I would've guessed that the blue came from butterfly pea flower, but I didn't actually pick up on any flavour besides coconut. The drink was very good - the tao jiao had an interesting texture and very subtle floral taste. It didn't really taste peachy. The barista recommend mixing the drink before drinking and I will reinforce this recommendation since I think the texture and flavour of the tao jiao were best when combined with thee coconut milk. The sweetness level was not adjustable for the drink but I didn't think it was too sweet at all even though I usually take my drinks with low sugar. I really enjoyed this unique drink!

But I can not believe how many of these tea places are all over State College! After passing like 12 of them I finally got sucked in - and I entered The Whale Tea. The place was cute. I ordered a large Matcha tea - and the picture on the wall said it was one of their top items ordered. It probably took about 10 minutes for them to make it - but there were a lot of people in and out so I wasn't expecting it to be made too fast. They called my number so I went to get my tea. The picture on the wall showed the tea had boba but my order didn't have it. When I asked they told me the picture was misleading since they don't put boba in the matcha - but they said they would put it in mine if I wanted them to open the seal. I let them add it - bc why not? The drink was absolutely delicious. One of the best matchas I've had. The price was almost $8 which I thought was insane bc it is muuuuuch cheaper to get matcha in Philly. I'm not sure how all these college students can afford this almost $8 beverage - when I was a college student that would not have been even close to being in my budget - I prefered spending my cash on dollar beer pitchers. But these expensive drinks seem to be all the rage w current students.

The salmon was a bit off, didn't seem fresh, and the beef was like cold tendon pieces that didn't quite fit in the bowl. The rice to everything else ratio was skewed towards the former, and not enough sauce was given, so it felt like I was eating just rice at the end. I was a bit disappointed to say the least, but wanted to give this place another chance before posting any reviews. My second sparked my third time coming here. Both times, I ordered salmon as my 2 proteins, brown rice, cilantro, sweet corn, red onions, edamame, kani salad, seaweed salad, and roasted seaweed with their special house sauce, wasabi aioli, and eel teriyaki sauce. Both times were consistent and much better than my first experience. The salmon was fresh, and toppings and sauces were loaded. I love the variety of toppings you can choose from too! Overall, I would recommend coming here. Definitely the better poke place here in State College. The staff are also super friendly. I will be coming back to try their egg waffles next time!

The Greek omelet was light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The Pesto-Port Egg Sandwich was simple but absolutely delicious with a perfectly cooked egg and great pesto. The Balsamic Garden Avocado Toast was as beautiful as it was tasty, with fresh ingredients, creamy goat cheese, pickled onions, and a rich balsamic glaze. The Spicy Mango Sriracha grilled naan was incredibly unique--the sweet and spicy combination worked perfectly. The fresh-baked pretzels are a must-try! We took home several varieties, and they were warm, soft, and some of the best we've had. Even the latte and biscotti were excellent. On top of the amazing food, watching the staff handcraft and bake the giant pretzels right behind the counter added to the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and the service was fast despite the café being busy. If you're in State College, this place is absolutely worth a visit.
