Food service isn't great at the bar so we decided to get a table and our server was awesome!! We had the chicken cheesesteak and the club sandwich. The club was a little dry - lots of bread! The chicken cheese steak was also a little dry but ok. Nice atmosphere and good service!

Otto's is a slightly modern, but comfortably familiar food + bar experience that also brews their own beer. Sorta like a BJ's, if I had to compare it. The prices on food were fair, and the variety of choices was more than I was expecting! I got a very scrumptious creole crab dip with plenty of bread for spreading on, along with a decently sized bowl of chili with the extra sour cream I asked for. It was all delivered expediently by attentive waitstaff and an active bartender. No complaints about service! They also have a little store attached where you can buy singles or packs of beers and sodas you liked from the restaurant, along with the selection of merch. The restaurant is part of a larger family of owned restaurants and a distillery next door, so you can find some of their products on the menu, too!

This was our first trip to a brewery at State College. We went here because they had food and beer and it was highly recommended by the owner of Happy Valley Vineyard and Winery. She said you can't go wrong here. We stopped and thought it was a win, win for us both. We ordered food and a tasting of 4 beers. I added a 5th beer because it was a hazy IPA that I didn't see on the menu. I try Hazy's no matter where I go, my go to beer. Sampled the beers and they were good, and I went with a glass of the Hazy IPA that I enjoyed. The food on the other hand was so so, we both didn't think highly of the food, maybe it was our choices perhaps, but maybe try something different next time. They did have Root Beer to go and purchased for our son who loves brewery Root Beer. He said it was sensational and have to agree with him as I tried it when we arrived home. Overall good stop. Place had a lot of rich history with breweries based on the signs in the place.

This place has a good atmosphere. The wait staff was wonderful and very attentive. Everyone at the table really enjoyed their food. Pricing isn't terrible. Would definitely go back and try some more menu items.

Lots of space cool place.cheese stake and fish in the way to go. Pass on nachos. Come for the beer not the food. Hot dogs were a great surprise.

Great food selection and great service. We ordered 4 different dishes and all were delicious and very filling. The beer battered fries are amazing! Beer selection is diverse and so many to chose from. This was my second visit and I'll be back!

A fantastic beer selection (craft brew), and large bar area, only had the nachos, but the food coming out looked good too.

Great food, great service, and the beer never disappoints. Enjoyed a fall evening on the patio and will be back again.

We tried stopping in once before and they were completely booked for the night. This time we planned ahead, made a reservation, and were seated right away. At the recommendation of our waitress, we all ordered the chicken and waffles special, and every single person loved it. It was absolutely delicious. I also had the Reuben soup and it was very tasty. They also have a wonderful beer selection. I tried the blueberry beer, which was very tasty with a smooth blueberry finish that really stood out. If you're looking for a great brewery with good food, great beer, and a fun atmosphere, I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Just not sure about the merinara sauce to go with the fries. Of the beers I tried, my favorite was the Swish (Swedish Fish-inspired sour beer). Service was great- our waitress was very attentive and friendly. For Galantine brunch, the omlett station was my favorite. Least favorite was that the cocktails that we ordered at the bar before the cocktail-making demo was not included with the prepurchased tickets. Second floor of the restaurant has a lot of taxidermy (not my thing, but may be a lot of other people's), and game tables, like pool. Will be back!

Yay! Unfortunately, when we arrived, the last Bean Burger had been sold and the black beans listed as a side were actually cooked in some heavy butter... so it became one of those stops where only French fries were the hot vegan option... because who wants a cold salad when it's 20°F?! In any case, the server was very nice about it and the Craft Beer was still vegan, and because we called ahead about the vegan burger option, they even comped the fries for running out. So- disappointed it wasn't as hearty as we hoped for a vegan on our arrival- but very kind to apologize with comped fries. For those who weren't vegan- the French Dip on ciabatta was on special and sooooo good. I don't like horseradish and it didn't overwhelm the flavor, so it was absolutely perfect! The pulled pork melt with crispy fried onions and bbq sauce was also excellent with a very crunchy buttered thick Texas toast bread. Excellent food when it's available- and hoping for a few more vegan options because Pennsylvania towns are a bit of slim pickings if you don't want to eat animal products!
