This Cagney's is roomier than most Cagney's I've been to. Plenty of room for large groups. The food was great as always, as well as the service.

Came with my son for a quick bit and I was not disappointed at all the have great prices and with this being the new one that is right next to the old one

We stopped by for a rare free-day breakfast. I do t normally eat breakfast or have many days off, but it is the perfect time of year for an outing. I got the Friday breakfast and coffee. Sausage eggs, biscuit, and gravy. It was all decent. The eggs were not over well as requested. The gravy tasted as if it was a mix. I'm not sure how that works. It was okay, toning special. Overall it was fine. My wife got liver mush and a pancake which were both great. The liver mush had that perfect fried crust that is hard to get. The coffee was average, but I'm a bit of a coffee snob and usually drink it black. I put cream and sugar in mine today. Overall I'd say Cagneys is not. Greasy spoon. I would categorize it as a standard NC family restaurant. Decent, cheap, southern food.

They gave us free chips and a dip which we don't get in Canada.

Omg. Was this a great place to stop and eat. We are from Canada and found the service and food fantastic. They served us breakfast during the lunch hour rush (which some restaurants won't do). The southern hospitality so good. I had corn bread so yummy, we don't have corn bread in Canada. A busy place and to me that means great food.

Still in Winston but near Davidson county ( about 20 minutes south of where I live). Completely worth the drive! I had the Thursday night special, garlic spinach parmesan chicken with rice. I got two sides, fried zucchini and baked apples. I'm not lying, EVERY single thing was delicious! The baked apples had the perfect seasoning to them. The garlic spinach parmesan chicken had like an alfredo type sauce on top and the perfect compliment of a seasoned rice underneath. The chicken was incredibly tender. I would order this exact combo again in a heartbeat. The staff was incredibly friendly. As soon as you walk in you can tell the place is full of regulars. Die hard, never going to miss a night out, regulars. It felt like you were walking into a warm hug. Highly recommend!

We were greeted walking in and seated in the same moment by the hostess. Our server stopped by promptly to get our beverage order. We started with an order of their house made potato chips but they never arrived? Our server dropped off dipping sauce but the chips never got to our table. I opted for the meatloaf with mashed and greenbeans. This was a hearty meal, a nice portion of well prepared meatloaf. The mash was old school rustic style, and good. The greenbeans again old school, like my grandma used to make and very good. The manager came by and apologized for the mishap on the chips and took them off our bill. Dinner was good otherwise, and even with that little misstep still a good choice of a good meal. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the kind staff 01241

We were running errands and in the general area of Olive Tree Deli when my wife recalled the original location is in Winston. We enjoy there newer Olive Tree Diner at the Colin Creek Golf Course in Mocksville. We decided to check it out and arrived close to 9:30 am. We both agreed the building looks like a former Taco Bell. There is adequate parking and it is easy to find. Although we only perused the breakfast menu, we saw the menu board behind the counter featuring lunch and dinner options. We both agreed we need to come back and check out the rest of the menu. We ended up ordering breakfast. The man at the counter was friendly and efficient. My wife ordered the 3-egg omelet with bacon, no cheese. She requested sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes and toast. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a bun. The prices are extremely reasonable and the place appears to be clean and taken care of. We took a seat and there was a steady stream of customers. Our food took a bit to arrive and my wife was immediately underwhelmed with her food. Granted, the prices are very inexpensive, but the omelet was very small and simply underwhelming. She also felt the tomatoes were too ripe. The menu for lunch and dinner options sounded much more appealing to us. We decided we would be willing to come back and try again but not for breakfast. Also, we recommend not coming here with any expectation it is anything like the location in Mocksville. Our experience in Mocksville has always been great - completely different vibe.
