The previous time I came, I tried the vegetarian burger and it was genuinely excellent definitely better than what you'd expect from a typical sports bar menu. It was a Friday around 7:30 PM, so the place was packed, which felt pretty standard for the time. We were seated at a booth since there were no high top tables or bar seats available, but it still worked out fine. Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive, checking in on us regularly without being intrusive. We ended up having a couple of rounds and then moved on to another spot that felt a bit more intimate for the rest of the evening. I have come for lunch, for dinner, and after dinner drinks; with just my mom, a few friends, and even a group of 14 ladies celebrating a birthday. I have especially enjoyed the Bombshell Chicken Sandwich and Hideway's Grilled Cheese. (They have several different grilled cheese options and they are all on sourdough bread either an accompanying cup of tomato soup.) It's not corporate, not scripted just a real local bar doing things their own way. The energy easy, and the beer solid. If you're looking for a polished taproom, this isn't it. But if you want a laid back spot with character and no pretense, Mack House has its own charm.

Again, I went to the bar. I apologized for bothering them and explained that our waitress disappeared, and the bartender was super nice and helpful. Eventually she came out to check on us and was again surprised that our drinks had been refilled. I again told her that I got them myself. She said she had other tables, which I get, but they definitely weren't busy and the amount of time she was gone was still super excessive.
