    Arsenal watch party

Great Place!! Tony and the staff have done a lot of updates to the place an it is very fun and welcoming. They have some common and also some unique food and drink items- and all that I have had were delicious. It's also a great place to watch sports as they have TVs everywhere including two big projector screens. It's an Official Arsenal Supporters Pub and watching the matches there are incredibly fun too. Highly recommend checking it out!

Hideaways sits in the strip mall, west of McDonald's, at University Drive near 595. I've been in that mall for other reasons and the place is always buzzing with lots of music and patrons. My cousin was in town on business and staying at a nearby hotel, so we decided to meet there for dinner. At first it was a bit loud and difficult to have a conversation. But after while they either lowered the music or we just got used to it. Because we managed to hang out for almost three hours, eating and chatting. She got the chicken pesto flatbread pizza (good) and I got the chicken wings with Asian sauce (very good). We both indulged in a special mule drink. You get your money's worth with this drink. We both are not big alcohol drinkers, but love mules; however, we had to send them back for a little more ginger beer. Service was fast and friendly. And throughout our three hours of catching up, the waitress constantly checked on us. The place is popular. The food is good. I think they also hold different types of game nights. Dinner for two with two entrees, two alcoholic drinks, tax, and tip was about $78.

Had to try this new restaurant with a few friends for happy hour. The sliders were a good start but the fish dip was salty just how I like it with fresh crunchy carrot sticks. We had a toast to great friends with my vodka and cocktails. Met the new owner and his daughter was our server. Fun times and great food!!!

I went back for the second time on a Friday night and it was a fantastic time yet again, They had live music going on which was really nice I have to rave again about the service, our waitress this time was Kacy and she was fabulous! Very friendly and down to earth and really helped to elevate the overall dine-in experience, on top of that she checked in on us throughout to make sure we had everything we needed For a drink, I got a cosmopolitan and it was solid, would definitely get it again and recommend based on my experience I tried the Enforcers cheesesteak this time which came with white american cheese and onion, I opted out of the mushrooms, and it was delicious! I loved it, it was flavored really well and I enjoyed the american cheese, it went so good with the sandwich and the bread was great! Soft and fresh, I also loved the Mayo on the side as it enhances the creaminess of the cheese, I would 100% get this again I had the Onion Rings and you guessed it, also great, batter seasoned perfectly, hot & crispy, would recommend if you like onion rings I was able to try the pub fries again and they were as perfect as the first time and absolutely worth the up-charge any day! Please try if you go, you won't be disappointed I'm sure LOVE this place! Thanks again Hideaways!

Tucked away in a small strip mall right off University Drive in Plantation, you'll find what was once The Old Legends -- now transformed into The Hideaway Tavern & Grille. The place has a cool speakeasy sports bar vibe -- relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. Service and food were both excellent. The shrimp escargot appetizer was amazing, and the prime rib French dip was equally impressive. No one in my party had a single negative thing to say! The only downside is that it's tucked into a corner of the shopping plaza with no big sign out front, so it's easy to miss. But once you find it, you'll be glad you did -- a true hidden gem in Plantation!

Cancun Chicken Pasta 2 thumbs up!

Tonight along with 10 Corvette buddies went for dinner, the service was outstanding and along friendly owner stopping by asking if anything we need, we all thanked him, and we found a place on Wednesday for dinner with friends. There was lot dishes from Grilled Cheese sandwiches & soup, Chicken Fingers along with Sliders. I ordered their Cancun Chicken Pasta, truly delicious, a must to be tried, 4 us ordered it, with no complaints.

The restaurant was pretty cool with the pirate themed decor and it was fun to see one of the World Cup games going on on the bar tvs. They happened to have happy hour going on and was provided a quick rundown on what drinks were eligible for happy hour as well as food. I ended up ordering a Hibiscus drink which was extremely refreshing! We ordered nachos and tostones for appetizers which were generous portions and absolutely delicious. Ordered the American heat burger which had cheese, bacon and a BBQ mango habanero sauce. Spicy without being overpowering and packed with flavor. I really enjoyed it being it's different from what I normally get burger wise. The fries it came with were seasoned perfectly. I called ahead of time to check if the restaurant allowed outside food as we had brought in a small cake for the 5 of us. It was allowed but what really was memorable for us was that our waiter came back with a small dessert and a candle for my dad to have in celebration of his birthday. Very sweet gesture from this restaurant and the staff during our visit were amazing. Will be coming back again!

I also liked the seating at the booth - they were not square booths, but rather round "embracing" booths, so we were warmly greeted and we got a Lunch Menu! There were some cool options to be had a t a much reduced price- for lunch! My partner wanted a burger. Well he got the juiciest burger, and the fries were to die for! I picked from the lunch menu the pork with mojo and rice and beans and let me say my dish was very savory and good! Not the Cuban style Mojo I was expecting, more of a Caribbean-Jamaica flavor to it, but very delicious nonetheless. We ate with much gusto to our hearts desire... and eventually had to get a doggy bag because even my lunch portion was bough to take some back home for later. Great place, service and ambiance. Did I mention they have a Wednesday Trivia night? We might be back for that!

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. That said, it felt like the restaurant was a bit understaffed for the evening. It seemed like there was only one waitress handling the entire dining room, which did cause some delays in service at times. Overall, my party was fairly happy with the experience. My chicken fajitas were very well prepared and packed with great flavor. Unfortunately, my spouse's ribeye was a bit underwhelming--the marbling was excessive, which affected the overall quality. On a positive note, the margaritas were well made and enjoyable. I'm giving it a solid rating because I'd love to see a small business like this succeed, but in all honesty, it felt closer to a 3.5-star experience.

The decor remains a win. Bright, festive, and exactly what you want from a neighborhood Mexican spot. Our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant -- no complaints there. The food, though... felt like an off day. It took quite a while to arrive, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. And when it did hit the table, it was lukewarm. Not cold, not terrible -- just not what you hope for when you're excited and hungry. We ate it without making a fuss (we're not "send it back three times" people), but it definitely didn't match the quality of our first visit. The flavors weren't popping the way I remembered. That said -- here's where I land. Every restaurant has an off day. Kitchens get slammed, timing gets off, things happen. My first experience was strong enough that I'm willing to chalk this up to one of those days. I believe in second chances. I believe in supporting local businesses. And I'll be back -- because when they're on, they're good. Consider this a hopeful 3.5-to-4 star mindset with optimism for round three.
