Met another couple for dinner and drinks. The ambiance was warm and inviting. Dark wood and leather, such a cozy feeling. Ordered the chicken wings in the sticky Asian sauce which were delicious. I had the chicken club. It was tasty however nothing really special. My husband ordered the ribs. Super meaty and flavorful. Should have given it three stars due to the ac was not working so hot and the waitress had a problem with most of our questions or requests. We didn't feel comfortable asking for anything. So this is a really cool little hidden place in Plantation that has a speakeasy vibe. It has only been around a year and is just a really chill place. They have good old fashions, a nice cocktail menu, and some cool beers. We had a really good time here and the service was really good. Besides cocktails and beers we also enjoyed their pesto chicken flatbread, which was really tasty and had kind of like a char-grilled thing on the bottom. I have been to Hideaways about 6 or 7 times now; and it's always been a positive experience. First of all it is decorated super cute.....like a speakeasy. There are leather couches, bookshelves, velvet drapes, and cute light fixtures. The menu has a huge selection of shareables, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and full entrees. The menu items also have cute mob and prohibition-era names like "Untouchables Sliders," "Enforcers'Philly," "Bombshell Chicken," and "Zelda's," and "Capone's" salads. I have come for lunch, for dinner, and after dinner drinks; with just my mom, a few friends, and even a group of 14 ladies celebrating a birthday. The service has a little been slow at times, but the food has always been good and all the servers we've experienced have been friendly. I have especially enjoyed the Bombshell Chicken Sandwich and Hideway's Grilled Cheese. (They have several different grilled cheese options and they are all on sourdough bread either an accompanying cup of tomato soup.) The prices are reasonable and they have a full bar and live entertainment some evenings. Hideaway's is a unique experience; and a fun place to gather. It's easy to get to from anywhere in Plantation and there's lots of free parking. I'm hoping that Hideaways is here to stay! read more

Speakeasy or Sportsbar? This is a sports bar with a speakeasy theme. Came here with a couple friends we sat at the long red velvet couch that gave this place a retro 70's vibe. There were portraits of wooden rum barrels on the walls in the dimly lit front room. Happy Hour was from 4p - 7p and we took advantage of the Buy 1 get 1 Deal. Hideaways sits in the strip mall, west of McDonald's, at University Drive near 595. I've been in that mall for other reasons and the place is always buzzing with lots of music and patrons. My cousin was in town on business and staying at a nearby hotel, so we decided to meet there for dinner. At first it was a bit loud and difficult to have a conversation. But after while they either lowered the music or we just got used to it. Because we managed to hang out for almost three hours, eating and chatting. She got the chicken pesto flatbread pizza (good) and I got the chicken wings with Asian sauce (very good). We both indulged in a special mule drink. You get your money's worth with this drink. We both are not big alcohol drinkers, but love mules; however, we had to send them back for a little more ginger beer. Service was fast and friendly. And throughout our three hours of catching up, the waitress constantly checked on us. The place is popular. The food is good. I think they also hold different types of game nights. Dinner for two with two entrees, two alcoholic drinks, tax, and tip was about $78. read more

Great Place!! Tony and the staff have done a lot of updates to the place an it is very fun and welcoming. They have some common and also some unique food and drink items- and all that I have had were delicious. It's also a great place to watch sports as they have TVs everywhere including two big projector screens. It's an Official Arsenal Supporters Pub and watching the matches there are incredibly fun too. I went back for the second time on a Friday night and it was a fantastic time yet again, They had live music going on which was really nice I have to rave again about the service, our waitress this time was Kacy and she was fabulous! Very friendly and down to earth and really helped to elevate the overall dine-in experience, on top of that she checked in on us throughout to make sure we had everything we needed For a drink, I got a cosmopolitan and it was solid, would definitely get it again and recommend based on my experience I tried the Enforcers cheesesteak this time which came with white american cheese and onion, I opted out of the mushrooms, and it was delicious! I loved it, it was flavored really well and I enjoyed the american cheese, it went so good with the sandwich and the bread was great! Soft and fresh, I also loved the Mayo on the side as it enhances the creaminess of the cheese, I would 100% get this again I had the Onion Rings and you guessed it, also great, batter seasoned perfectly, hot & crispy, would recommend if you like onion rings I was able to try the pub fries again and they were as perfect as the first time and absolutely worth the up-charge any day! Hideaway Tavern & Grille was a pleasant surprise in the best way. We were in the mood to try something different and ended up having a fantastic experience. The food was genuinely good with a great selection. We ordered the churrasco steak and a charcuterie board--both were spot on and well executed. The drinks deserve their own applause: the martinis were excellent, and my wife's smoked old fashioned was done perfectly. What really tied it all together was the atmosphere. The live music was amazing, not overpowering, and added to a great overall vibe that made us want to stay longer. Solid food, great drinks, live music, and a relaxed but lively atmosphere. If I could give 3.5 stars, I would, but am rounding up because I think there were more hits than misses. Before I begin, though, I would say that this is not a speakeasy. It's most definitely more like a sports bar ... a very loud sports bar. I think calling it a speakeasy sets expectations for a certain kind of atmosphere that will not be met. So, the food. The food was overall really good, much better than sports bar food. We enjoyed the Cobb salad, the grilled cheese with tomato soup, the ribs, and the fries. The star was the fried pickles and peppers - thinly sliced, a very light batter and a nice dipping sauce - absolutely delicious! The wings were good, as well. The baked potato that came with the ribs was small and undercooked, but that's an easy fix for the kitchen. As for the drinks, they were just ok. I think the prices for the specialty drinks are good, but the cocktails somehow missed the mark. The spicy strawberry margarita was too sweet and the regular spicy margarita had something in it that made it taste off, maybe too much Cointreau? (I don't know if it even had Cointreau in it, but two of us tasted it and weren't sure what it was.) Lastly, the service. Overall, it was great. There were a couple of hiccups. First, as the server was clearing our dishes, she asked my friend who had the grilled cheese with tomato soup whether she was going to finish her soup. My friend replied that she would have if she had a spoon. Oops! Second, it took a long time to get our check after we asked for it. However, these things are minor and our server was really good - friendly, cheerful and helpful. So, the food and service were really good, the drinks were so-so and the atmosphere was way too loud and stifled our ability to have a conversation. Having said that, I would say it's worth a try. read more

I've been reading Hideaways reviews on Yelp/Google and had to see if it would live up to the hype. It absolutely did, and then some! It's decorated to resemble a speakeasy, the booths and chairs are new and so comfortable and the servers are over the top sweet and helpful. Our server was Kayla and she was beyond wonderful. The menu is fantastic! The selection is great, and their prices are very reasonable. They make everything from scratch, which is obvious once you taste their food Kayla was telling us about some of her favorites...French onion soup, which they make with seven types of onions, their chimichurri skirt steak has rave reviews. We are Philly people and my husband loved the steak sandwich. He said the roll wasn't exactly Philly, but the meat was...so that's a win! Last week I hosted a faculty appreciation event for 45 people at Hideaway's Tavern, and I cannot say enough about how exceptional the entire experience was. From the moment we arrived, every server and bartender went above and beyond, and Tony Curtiss, the owner, was the definition of hands on hospitality. They surprised us with thoughtful details like chalking our logo onto the welcome board, which made our group feel genuinely celebrated. They've just installed the most charming speakeasy style door, do not miss the chance to walk through it; it adds such a fun, intimate touch to the space. Admittedly our group can be high maintenance, yet they handled us with grace, efficiency, and warmth. The sliders were outstanding, the fries were perfectly crisp, and the spread of appetizers was abundant and absolutely delicious. The chairs were incredibly comfortable and spacious, creating a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that allowed our faculty to truly unwind and enjoy the evening. I looked at reviews before going! They had great reviews, I don't understand why we didn't have a good experience. I try to take my 3 teenagers out for dinner and try something new every couple weeks. I googled "hidden gems" hideaway Tavern pulled up. Menu looked good. Location was in a plaza but it said Speakeasy vibes. Monday evening 6:30 dinner time. Super quiet almost empty... Waitress sat us inside right next to the other 2 couples. There was a bartender and waitress running the whole place. Took about 10 minutes to take our drink order. Ordered corn nuggets (these were yummy). We ordered two different types of grilled cheese and my son had a smash burger. Burger was plain and dry. Nothing special. Our grilled cheese had a weird taste like from the griddle where they toasted them, almost fishy! The tomatoe soup directly from a can of Cambell (the concentrated sweet one) couldn't find the waitress forever just to ask for spoons. She saw our drinks empty and we still had to ask for refills. We ate less than half the meal. It just wasn't tasty. Paid and left. When spending $125-150$ on a family of 4 (no alcohol just cokes) their are sooo many other wonderful places to go to.
