This is some really good Chinese food. Only problem is there's a little bit of a language barrier. Once you get by that you'll get some good tasty food. And they always throw something a little extra in the bag. Like some Rangoon's!!!! The pork fried rice is excellent. Almost equal part to rice. read more

Ribs are pretty dry and tasteless. Food is ok, not great. There is usually 1 or 2 mistakes with every order. When ordering remotely (phone) you should order by the item # on the menu. There is a language issue with the order taker. My last visit I ordered Wonton soup and got fried Wontons. read more

Terrible! We found bugs in our food! I could understand if it were nats,because we can't seem to get away from them,No,these were a cross between a roach and a fly. Well into the middle of my husbands meal,cooked on the chicken. When I took all the food back (which was a lot because the food was tasteless and just plain bad $50 later), they kept asking me if we'd eaten outside for the bugs to get in the sauce. I kept saying no,then she said show me the bug. I did as she asked,then she still said "it's not a bug" then I took one of there forks,picked up the bug and put it on a menu so she can see it. Terrible, the worst take out Chinese I have ever had. Dry ribs, greasy inedible Dim Sum, we threw out $50 bucks worth of food. They let us order doubles of the same bad fried food. Never, ever again. read more

One star is far too much for what this place deserves. I placed two orders of half chicken and pork fried rice at 9:00 pm, The woman on the phone said it would be a twenty minute wait. I arrived 25 minutes later to find what appeared an entire family eating around a table as I walked in it seemed as if I had interrupted dinner since everyone just stared at me. Then I came to find out that they had not made my order at all! They forgot I had even placed an order! I had placed my order, yet again... once it was time to pay they only had made one of the orders.. it gets better. Once I get home the rice has absolutely no color, the chunks of pork in the rice you can visibly tell were old, and once I had opened up the chicken it was dark in the inside as if it has been sitting for days, And it had gooey white lines from being undercooked. I'm disgusted. Will NEVER order from here again. read more

Typical Chinese takeout restaurant but whats so different about this one as opposed to all the other Chinese restaurants in Greenport? It's clean. The people working behind the counter are nice and they make sure you are taken care of. Definitely a go to place for Asian om noms! read more

Great family and best Chinese on the east-end in my opinion. I've tried quite a bit off the menu and everything is great from the basic chic n broc to the more specialty szeshuan dishes ... it is all very good! And they have hot mustard and aren't weird about giving you some!!! read more

Cai Hong is a friendly neighborhood chinese take-out place, nothing more, nothing less. Call your order in, and 15-20 minutes pick it up. The food is fresh, seasonings well-balanced and it's really a great value. Sometimes they get overloaded (how can they tell what order is coming in next) but the wait is never over-long and you get back what you give out. Be nice to them and they in turn will be nice to you. If you're waiting longer than expected, how 'bout striking up a conversation with people around you? You just never know who you'll meet! Besides that, on more than one occasion when I've had to wait a little longer than expected, they always apologize and frequently toss some extra goodies in with my order. Typical Chinese takeout but with below average food. Its Worth traveling a few miles over to Jan's in Mattituck...WAY better Chinese food.

Although the people were very friendly and the kitchen area seemed clean, the food was TERRIBLE! After sampling the many different dishes we ordered, we threw everything in the garbage. I was left feeling very ill after I ate their food. I would never eat here again! read more

I really like this place. Nice and clean and the staff immediately greets you as soon as you walk in. What's even better is they will usually throw in a free eggroll or soup sometimes with my order! Posted a negative review about a local establishment and figured for Karma's sake I better post one about a place I like. . To sum it up they are ultra reliable, serve fresh , delicious food and are the equal or better to any Chinese take out that I've had on Long Island. Best fried wontons around. Also a big fan of their crab Rangoon! Food order is always correct and we'll put together. Only thing to date is that I am not a huge fan of their chicken and broccoli, it seems to lack flavor and chicken isn't very tender. Other then that I would definitely recommend this place. read more
