Lots of local traffic popping in for coffee and cakes, especially lots of cyclists so it can be difficult to get a seat. I've picked up take away cake from here before for friends and its went down well. There is usually one gluten free cake option. This time we visited just for coffee which was good. Order at the till, pay and staff will bring to your table. They also have a licence do organic wines available as well as innis and gunn on draft. Good addition to Kilmacolm and worth checking out.

The restaurant recommends you make reservations, as it is a very small space, so I wasn't hopeful but luckily it wasn't busy and there were a few tables available. Service was lovely, so friendly and hospitable. We loved hearing our server talk with the locals about their day and all that. Felt really homey and I appreciated that. The food was delicious, presented well and came out super fast. We did not have to wait very long for our breakfast at all. My tea was excellent, I think it was a sea chai or something like that. Super unique and I wish I would have gotten some satchels to take home with me. The coffee is also excellent here.

My wife had the fluffy scrambled eggs, creamy, cheesy, served over toast with bacon and hash browns. This is something she gets often, and she has had none better than the ones here. The service was excellent. It's not the biggest restaurant, but the tables seem to move fairly quickly, and they have outdoor seating on warmer days. Having had brunch here previously, heading here for lunch was something I was excited about. It was very busy this time round so service was understandably a little slower. We did have a short wait for a table but it really wasn't long till we were seated considering it was peak lunching hour. Oh my word. Sandwich heaven. I had the bacon and mozzarella baguette with hot salsa and guacamole and it was absolutely delicious. Lots of cheese, lots of bacon, lots of yum. It was dimly lit and quiet. Breakfast was cheap. The service was exceptional. This is where I sampled a full Irish breakfast. Bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, black pudding and bread. I dreaded trying the black pudding because it is made with cooked and congealed blood from cattle or pigs. For me at least the thought of eating congealed blood was unappealing but I wanted to at least try it. It's been a breakfast staple for the Irish and the British for many years. It taste like a normal sausage to me. Our lattes were delicious. The pancakes were good but tough and the french toast was basic. Their bacon is very meaty and tasty. The eggs were cooked perfectly.
