Just tried this place! Cute little spot with great service. One of the owners gave us the background of the business and flavors. They gave unlimited samples and he took his time with us. They switch the flavors around, so don't get stuck on one flavor. Highly recommend that you give it a try.

Just say yes! I recently became dairy free and was recommended to go here. The owner was so gracious in letting me try so many flavors before landing on his recommendation, soursop. It felt so good to have so many options for dairy free folks for once! And even if you aren't dairy free, you'll still love it!

Dairy Free multi flavor delicious ice-cream. This place is a win win! Every flavor I tasted was delectable therefore, you cant go wrong. I finally decided on Bicoff and cream and I wish I had gotten a double cup The motto behind this business definitely resonate with my entire soul. Thank you Cajou for all you provide, including your service and ambiance. I am looking forward to more

Great flavors, great energy, great experience all around. Had the chance to chop it up with the owner, Dwight....good conversation, real presence, just an all-around solid vibe. I had two scoops, sat and enjoyed every bite, then ended up grabbing two pints to take home... because yeah, it was that good. The space feels warm and inviting from the moment you walk in, and the energy carries all the way through. I'm already looking forward to coming back once they move around the corner and up the street .....more room, more space to hang, and more opportunities to stop, talk, and really enjoy those incredible vegan ice cream flavors. This is more than just ice cream.....it's an experience!!!!

I stopped by with a few of my friends over this past weekend and overall had a great experience! I was a little hesitant at first but all of the ice cream flavors were so delicious! On top of that the owner was super friendly and patient as I was trying to decide which flavor to get. The ambiance is also super cute with some outdoor seating. This is definitely going to be one of my go-to ice cream places!

Had an awesome experience at this plant based ice cream shop. The space is so boutique and cute, with plants and art everywhere. The owner, Dwight, was super welcoming and informative. My partner and I brought friends visiting from out of town and he made the visit a ton of fun for all of us. We tried almost all of the flavors on display and decided on pints of rum raisin and raspberry cheesecake, while our friends got parfaits with other flavors. We all thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream. I've been bummed before by plant based ice creams that taste nothing like the real thing but you legit would not know these were dairy free unless someone told you! I will be back for sure!

Ten out of ten! FINALLY made it to THE Cajou Creamery. Last time, I was in the area was on a day that it was closed. The shop is so cute! Very nicely designed. Clean. And they had a few places to sit outside on a nice day. I was greeted by the owner who told me that all the ice cream was gluten free. Just not the sandwiches or the cones. That's fine by me. I'm not used to having so many options. Usually the gluten and dairy free option is singular option I got the flight which was $14 with the blueberry cheesecake, horchata, and baklava. I absolutely LOVE the blueberry cheesecake and baklava. In fact I ate them together. They pair very nicely. Wasn't such a fan of the horchata but it was still fine. I got a sample of the soursop which was great but didn't add it to my flight.

I believe I have said it before however again for short measure, I LOVE CAJOU CREAMERY. What is not to love and I am so glad I don't have a cashew allergy because I would be missing out on some delectable ice creamery dreamery! From the owner Dwight's stellar customer service to the ice cream there is not much more to say. I so enjoy that when in town there are always new flavors to taste, try and indulge without guilt. During this visit, BLACK CAKE (IYKYK), COQUITO (IYKYK) and SPICED PEAR w/ BRANDY CARAMEL... So, of course, came with a cooler, dry ice and took all 3 home for the road trip!

So years ago there was an Elite Week fro Cajou Creamery that lined up nicely with festive times. My sister and her vegan family were all around, and we decided to go collectively. Having access to some of their ice cream flavors in Whole Foods, I didn't go back to their brick-and-mortar until this year. I could never find their Sweet Potato Pie in stores near me, so I finally had to go back and get it after enjoying it so much before. It was as amazing as I remember. And the owner gave me the genius idea of letting it melt a little and using it as a French Toast stuffing. Do you know how delicious that is?! Not long after this experience, they posted on social media about being in danger of closing and the community was not having it. I couldn't make it out in time but it was amazing to see so many people coming out to support them. Proud! I returned recently to mass stock for the holidays and gifts, and conveniently enough, they have some new amazing flavors for the season that I couldn't wait to experience: Spiced Pear w/ Brandy caramel and Jamaican Black Cake. FAN.TASTIC. I really wish there was one closer to home, but this is one that I hope stays around for a long time. Of all the ice cream I have had (dairy or vegan), they're easily in my top 3. I thought sweet potato pie was their peak... but these seasonal flavors... wow. Til next time!

Cajou is a plant based ice cream shop owned by Dwight Campbell and Nicole Foster. Dwight is normally working in store daily; he is cordial, customer centric and super knowledgeable. The ambience is quaint with modern touches. Cajou sells clean products that are made fresh daily, with (ingredient) labels that a 5 year old could understand. Most notably, they have flavored ice cream cones (green tea matcha, chocolate, etc). The brand integrity and a sense of community shines with every scoop given that five percent of each sell goes to support local food justice initiatives. If you want to support this cause but can't make it into the retail store, Cajou creamery is located in the aisles of Whole Foods across the country (as well as Slutty Vegan burger spot). Cajou is a luxury ice cream experience and I can't wait to return to grab ice cream and listen to all things Baltimore.

Outside

This place is so cozy inside. Well decorated. The plants deserve a standing ovation! The blueberry cheesecake was phenomenal. Highly recommend going here. I haven't stopped thinking about it since we left. My son devoured the half of mine I couldn't eat. The owner was very kind and helpful. One of the best places I've been to since moving here

Ice cream

This is probably one of if not the best ice cream here in Baltimore. Not only are the flavors amazing, the owner is so genuine and it felt more like an experience than just ordering ice cream. He let us try every flavor and made us try more after. 10/10

Tuesday 3/25/25 I…read morefound out about this spot on a Reddit post that was mentioning the best desserts in Maryland. I was in Baltimore so I had to go try it. The spot was hard to locate at first until I realized that it's located in the food market. I came for the popular honey graham ice cream but also for my favorite flavor: cookies n cream. Sadly, they didn't have any cookies n cream at the moment, but luckily they did have the honey graham. The service was solid: the worker was nice and I was able to sample four flavors (key lime pie, honey graham, vanilla bean, and chocolate love) without any issue. After sampling the flavors, I decided to get a triple cup of 2x honey graham and 1x vanilla bean. - The honey graham was like that (I see why it's popular). I let my mom sample it, and she enjoyed it so much that she got her own the next day. - The vanilla bean was pretty good and paired well with the honey graham. This spot has some good ice cream that I'd be open to returning for more (hopefully they have cookies n cream next time).

I usually get the "Honey Graham", but I saw that they now have "Salted Honey Graham" too and I decided to try it. The service was very fast and friendly. Even though the temperature was in the low teens with a windchill around zero, GKs all got ice creams. They only issue any of them had was that the gargantuan sizes were still not big enough; taste was that good. Me, I picked up a sfogliatella riccia to enjoy as a post-theater late-night snack. We also picked up a bunch of Italian cookies to take home. We had to hide them so the GK vultures couldn't get to them early. Vacarro's had a great selection even at 6PM. The bakery aroma was fantastic, seating was plentiful, prices were reasonable, and parking (street and for-pay lot) close by. It's a must-stop destination whenever you make it to Little Italy. Arrived in the afternoon during a busy weekend and decided to take out for desserts. My first visit and was underwhelmed by the service received. Rushed and transactional. Packaging was very sloppy and my napoleons were shoved to the side, making the clear clamshells very messy when I arrived home. If only the desserts were saving grace, but was left disappointed as well. As others have mentioned, the pastries do not taste fresh. The ricotta cream in the original cannoli tasted warm and gritty, the shell was stale. I noticed these were sitting out. The puff pastry in the Napoleons were soggy. The cream puffs shell was stale and chocolate topping was super sweet, unfortunately these were far from heavenly. Maybe another day, Vaccaro.

Since the order was processed on my card, I'll now have to wait 5-7 business days for the funds to be released, which is frustrating in itself. What made the situation much worse was the customer service. I called the store simply to ask what happened, but before I could even finish my question, the employee interrupted me, said, "We're busy right now," and hung up on me. When I called back to understand why I had been hung up on, I was passed from person to person without anyone taking responsibility. The only explanation I received was, "We're busy and prioritize our in-person customers. Anything else?" I completely understand that restaurants get busy, and I have no issue with a delayed order or even an occasional cancellation if necessary. However, being treated dismissively, interrupted, and hung up on for asking a simple question is unacceptable. Being busy is not an excuse for disrespectful customer service. If your store is unable to fulfill DoorDash orders during busy periods, that's understandable--but don't accept them only to cancel them immediately, leaving customers waiting days for their money to become available again. A little courtesy and professionalism would have gone a long way.
