Chocolate Chip Cookie and Honey Graham Ice Cream Sandwich study break
    Katie G.

All I can say is they make the best ice cream sandwiches! I am obsessed with this business. These ice cream sandwiches have become my weekly cheat meal and I look forward to buying one either on Friday afternoon in Fells Point or at the Fells Point Farmer's Market. The cookies are phenomenal, baked but still doughy. The Taharka Brothers Ice Cream is amazing; I'd love to buy that ice cream by the pint or see it in a scoop shop. All of the sandwiches I have had so far have been amazing, but my favorites are the Chocolate Chip and Honey Graham, the Chocolate Chip and Cookie Dough, and the Oatmeal Raisin and Vanilla. Hope the season continues out a little longer because I need my fix!

Honey graham b/w Berger cookies. I trekked to cream cruiser on the coldest day of the year to buy the very last sammie #worthit

Alright y'all, this is hands down the best ice cream sandwich establishment in Baltimore. I can say this with certainty because I'm pretty sure I've tried them all - multiple times. As you've probably already heard, these sammies are sold from the back of a bicycle that makes its way around the city and pops up at farmer's markets and other community events. I've been frequenting this bicycle for over a year now and have really enjoyed trying all the rotating flavors. There's a heaping scoop of deliciously sweet Taharka Brothers ice cream between two thick cookies. These sammies may look large, but it's actually very easy to eat the whole thing in one sitting (no regrets). The founder, Katherine, is super nice, and it's been really awesome to see her and the whole Cream Cruiser group expand the business over the last several months. They now have a store front at 2007 Fleet St in Fell's Point, and are open during certain hours. I was there on Halloween for their $3 sammie special (usually $5). I encourage you all to follow Cream Cruiser on Instagram or Facebook to keep up with the whereabouts of the bike, store hours, current flavors and specials (and so you can see all drool-worthy photos obviously :)

We happened to be in Baltimore and dropped into Moo Moo Cows after we had dinner. The staff was…read morevery welcoming. In fact while we were there they greeted every customer and said goodbye to every customer. Since we were first timers they went over all of their offerings. They had a variety of ice cream flavors in addition to soft serve (in addition to snow balls and food). My wife and oldest daughter got soft server (vanilla and chocolate), my youngest got strawberry cheese cake and I got black cherry. I really enjoyed mine as it was very rich and creamy. The ice cream was so good that there was very little sharing going on. I got a single scoop and I was a little surprised about how big the portion size was. The shop was decorated really nicely and had a cool vibe. Overall we had a really great experience and would highly recommend.

I ended up waiting a few minutes, but there were others in the back standing this whole time. I asked to try 2 flavors, and this person who had finally walked over said ok two scoops? I said no I'd like to try, they responded saying 1 sample per person (but it was the tone that turned me off). I tried the flavor I was most unsure about and moved on. They do give a good amount of ice-cream, and they said something about it being the only _____ dairy ice-cream in Baltimore. It was decent ice-cream but I dont need to go back. Otherwise seemed like a cool spot, with a few meal deals and specials.

Staff was friendly and helpful, allowing me to sample a few different ice flavors. They have some really unique combinations that were very fun. I'm more of a soft serve ice cream person than an Italian Ice fan so for me, I care more about the ice pairing well with a chocolate vanilla twist. Some of the more complicated ice flavors probably wouldn't go well with a soft serve twist, so I played it safe and got my usual: pistachio ice with chocolate vanilla swirl. I ended up getting a larger size this time around and while it was totally delicious, it was HUGE! The soft serve was well incorporated around the entire cup making each bite delicious. Love this place and will definitely be back next time the craving strikes!

Then, last weekend, my friend and I stopped in for an Italian ice. They have 22 flavors (and 9 specialty combos) to choose from and friendly customer service. (They also offer ice cream if that's what you're craving.) My friend and I enjoyed a water ice, which we took to go as we walked around Hampden. If water ice/Italian ice is your thing, Tia's is definitely worth a visit. We have several more hot weeks this summer, so stop by and try a water ice!
