Ok, so finally tried it. Really good donuts. This is way better than Dunk ń Donuts or Krispy Kreme. Not Your common donut shop. The frosted red velvet, decadent and rich. Devils food, chocolaty and real chocolate frosting, not that quick gross artificial chocolate high fructose glaze ( Eeeeewwww ). You can taste the quality, to put it simply. A chocolate and bacon donut would be great addition to your selection imo. Support Quality, Support your local mom and pop shops. Also imo, maybe better coffee, but that's the coffee snob in me talking. A must try.... read more

Owner is super sweet! They have some very unique items. I especially loved the pineapple buttermilk donut, so different and good. We have been a couple of times now and have been very satisfied. On a side note, they don't have soy for coffee products...so bring your own. read more

I found this place after Yelp mentioned in a post that they were voted best donuts. I went a few days later, and wasn't surprised to find the place packed and lots of donuts gone on a Friday morning at 8 am. It's nestled away in strip mall with sign that says "bakery" and "donuts," and in the smallest letters "cake among us." I've read some reviews about the donuts being vegan, but it's unclear if that's all the donuts or just a few. I grabbed a half dozen: the one with apples, blueberry, pistachio, red velvet, smores, and banana. My favorite was the s'mores and blueberry. The wife loved the s'mores and pistachio. I've already promised her I'll go back when I'm in the area again. They also had some croissants that were huge, and I'll be grabbing some of those to try as well. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, although they seemed a bit frazzled by the amount of people in the store. I suspect the yelp and buzzfeed posts brought in a lot more people than usual. The donuts are very reasonably priced when compared to other donuts places with similar offerings. For the half dozen it was $5.75. read more

I purchased a fiesta theme cake for a bridal shower and it came out perfect! She made it look exactly like the picture I gave her. The flavor was amazing too! This little gem is tucked away in the corner of a shopping/business center. I went in to get myself a ham and cheese croissant and by far it is one of the best I have ever had. So, based on my delicious purchase I also ordered a 1/4 sheet cake for my boyfriends 50th birthday. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I had created a picture I wanted to be printed on the cake and a friend who has the equipment print it out, but you can also bring your file and they do cake top pictures in house. I ordered cake pops (last minute) the week of Thanksgiving for a party that Saturday. At first Cake Among Us was not sure they would be able to deliver based on the short week. Fortunately, they were able to make the order and even customized based on our daughter's party theme. The cake pops were delicious and we received several compliments. The service at pick up was fantastic. The only reason I'm not giving them an extra star is because I thought it was a bit pricey at $2.50/pop. read more

Been wanting to try this place and finally did today. Scott helped us out and he was so patient and helpful while we took our time looking at all the offerings. He even let us choose the biggest donuts on the shelves :) We got a Bavarian cream filled, chocolate filled with chocolate chips, a regular glazed, a cinnamon roll, orange/cranberry scone and chocolate chip scone. And he threw in a blueberry cake donut! Everything looked so fresh and delicious and there's a large selection of everything from butter cookies to cupcakes to donuts. The prices are very reasonable and the donuts and scones we got are delicious. Very fresh and full of flavor. I can't say enough about this little bakery. They are family owned and so nice, I walk in and they say good morning to me by name. They have their employees that also greet you as you walk in. Their customer service is out of this world. This is not a normal donut shop I don't know how they make their donuts but they're not greasy, they're not saturated in oil. They are delicious, and they also make cookies and cupcakes. I used to get my chocolate cakes from claim jumpers but not anymore because cake among us makes the perfect chocolate cake every time. I just ordered me one for Thanksgiving I know it's not a Thanksgiving tradition but I can't help it. While everything was delicious and the people behind the counter were super friendly, I believe I was overcharged. I was in such a hurry to get my kids to school and make it to work on time, that I didn't realize it until I started adding it up in my head. 2 dz butter cookies ($7) 2 cake donuts (.95 x 2 = $1.90) 5 donut holes (.20 x 5 = $1.00) How it came out to $15.10 is beyond me. These people recommended by Old Town baking company because they don't do cookies and these people do. My friend wanted wedding cookies shaped like a heart for a small reception and these cost about $3.50 a cookie so enough for 40 people would be $140.00 for sugar cookies with some frosting. I know things are expensive today but honestly you could make these for twenty bucks and that's using Irish butter. I told my friend to skip this and buy some cookies from the bakery counter and call it good. Brides god bless them get carried away, no one would probably touch them especially the men and they would end up in the trash. But these are nice people and they would produce what you wanted, they are talented so if you have the budget and it's your hearts desire then go for it. Found this place on Yelp. The cronut and donuts were 5 STARS! Especially the cronut! The only thing is the customer service my husband received. After working a long day, he came to pick up some donuts for me. They have no menu online or in store where you could take a picture so he kept asking what this and that is and the lady got irritated and went and helped other customers that already knew what they wanted. May I suggest a menu so not to "bother" you and people don't have to take pictures. He was worried about even taking a picture (per your sign that says no Facetime which we never do) to show me what you had left a half an hour before you were closing (which was not much). He would've bought a whole bunch more but he didn't want to "irritate" you anymore. Hopefully when we come back you will be in a better mood. read more

Ok so day 2, yesterday they ran out of donuts and I would have had to wait about 3 hours for a new batch. Normally I would be most irritated but the owner came out explained the situation and offered me a pastry. Yes I can easily be bought by pastry. As I pulled up I feared I was already too late as there was a line out the door already and it was 8:30. Little kids were bright eyed and eager with their little hands and faces pressed against the glass! I had to smile at the constant chatter as they tried to decide on which sugary confection they would choose. I finally made it up front and couldn't wait to try all the flavors. Unfortunately they were all out of apple fritters and the wait would be too long so that will have to wait for another visit. I picked a dozen incredible donuts and two scrumptious ham and cheese croissants. Can't wait to get home and tear that box apart!
