While in Edisto/Charleston, I was in need of something sweet, and found this super-cute Cake Bar in West Ashley... I immediately loved the place...as the place was strikingly decked out in PInk...unashamedly Hot Pink at that! I noticed some GORGEOUS cake creations, as well as some cute cupcakes. I chose to try 2 cupcakes...in Red Velvet and Strawberry. Well, I can honestly say that both were DEE-Lish!! Also tried this drink they carried called VOSS in Raspberry Rose Sparkling Water. Loved that as well. Truly the only downside was that they didn't have proper plates for folks choosing to dine in...though the place was quite spacious, with plenty of tables and chairs. I guess it's a post-Covid thing? I was hoping to get good pictures of the cupcakes on a plate (as the box presentation didn't do much), but Oh Well. Still, I can't dock any stars for this gorgeous place, and its lovely creations. Kudos to Alexis!!

If you love sweets head over to Cake Bar in the Northbridge Shopping center in West Ashley. They recently reopened and it's beautiful inside. They have fresh cakes, Charleston Chewies, cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, cookie sandwiches, strawberry crunch cupcakes, cake snacks, and cake pops. There's also a variety of drinks to appease your palate and pair with the sweets. The service was top notch. We had a young server who was so full of life and excited to assist us with anything we needed. The decor is photo worthy. There are so many places to snap a picture showing the vibrant design that just rejuvenated your spirit. They're open till 6pm during the week and they have plenty of seating so head over you won't be disappointed.

Had an amazing experience here having a custom cake made. Alexis was easy to communicate with and willing to take me on with short notice during the holidays. I gave her a general idea of what I was picturing to include in the cake and she turned it into a beautiful reality. My mom cried at the sight of the cake and it tasted incredible!

So I have been hearing great things about this business for a long time but never got the opportunity to get try. I saw this on DoorDash tonight and I hopped on it. All I can say is wow! The cupcakes are SO MOIST and flavorful. The CHEWIES......OMGGGG!!!. Im literally trying not to punish all in one sitting! I'll definitely have to reorder and try some else next time. But the chewies will get ordered every time moving forward. Packaging was neat and cute.

Yummy! I haven't been to the store yet, but my sister had some desserts delivered to me for mother's day and so far I've had the chocolate and lemon flavored cupcakes. They were so good! Can't wait to try the red velvet and cookie sandwiches! I had never heard of Cake Bar, but I'm definitely going to stop by when I'm in West Ashley!

Super cute and I mean CUTE little bakery. The inside is all pink and glittery and there's seating inside and outside. There aren't prices posted by the baked goods but I got a slice of the banana pudding cheesecake and it came out to 9.54. Flavors were good and it came nicely boxed. Alexis was very kind and it was very fun to support her operation. There are some BOMB looking cupcakes, cookie & buttercream sandwiches, cheesecakes, cake pops, and puddings on display.

My little one and I are grateful for this neighborhood bakery! At least once a week, we ride his bike to see Ms Alexis (the owner) and pick out a sweet. The customer service is great! We love the cupcakes, cookie cream sandwiches and chewies #YUM.y son has already requested that we get his birthday cake from Cake Bar. Can't wait until it gets warm so we can do weekend walks to the Cake Bar for fancy milkshakes.

I really like everything that they are able to do here and have been happy with all of the orders that I have made from here. Iced coffee was refreshing I came back the next morning for another round. It was flavorful yet not sugary. Although I was charged twice, the manager assured me they would fix it once the line was manageable. Somehow I trusted her word for it, just the manner with which she handled it was text book! Indeed, saw the overcharged taken care of by the next day. A must stop in downtown historic Charleston for sure! The shop is super cute inside. And it smelled absolutely delicious. I love the way that they had everything laid out for you to see. And the ladies that worked there were very sweet and answered any questions that we had. I like that when you start to tell them what you want they have a cake plate that they put your items on and then they'll box it up at the end. It just had a really special feel to the service of how they treat you there. Now let's get into the sweet treats. I bought a chocolate chip cookie, a oatmeal raisin cookie and a ginger molasses cookie. They were all delicious, but that oatmeal raisin cookie was amazing. I also got too many cupcakes. I did the vanilla blueberry and the honey. Both were very good. And I got a pecan brownie. I loved the pecan brownie! My only problem with the brownie is that it's so small. I would love for them to make them bigger for the price, but absolutely delicious. I love that none of the sweets tasted too sweet. They were perfectly balanced. I recommend checking out the spot. It will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth.

Bakeshop of my dreams!!…read more This truly tiny bakeshop was super close by where I was staying in Downtown Charleston (the Moxy) and I'm so glad it was. I discovered it on Yelp when I was looking for spots to stop by before heading to the airport for my flight for a quick bite. There's the tiny bakeshop storefront and right next door is where they do all the baking. I'm noting this because I almost walked into the other spot but thankfully they had a sign on the door saying it was staff only and the bakeshop was right next door. The storefront itself had all the Southern charm, with a classic flower window box at the window and the friendliest staff greeting you as soon as you walked in. I went on a weekday around 8am and it wasn't busy at all. I was able to peruse their AMAZING selection & had the hardest time choosing. Thankfully, I had my uber waiting for me so I had to make quick decisions. I ended up getting a pastel de nata, everything bagel kolache, fig leaf sugar bun, and a dark choco chip cookie (because I always need to try the local cookie). Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I loved the variety in their pastries and was amazed that there were concepts for pastries I've never heard or tried before. Their menu selection is crazy and I would 100% come back to Charleston just for this bakery. I'll be back again! Thanks to Yelp for bringing me to my now fav bakeshop on this planet.

This ended up being our very last stop before leaving town and it may have just been the best stop of the entire trip. There was a line when we arrived, but it moved quickly, and everyone we encountered from those in line to the employees were incredibly friendly. The bakery itself is absolutely adorable and I immediately found myself wishing I had a bigger suitcase (and a bigger appetite). Deciding what to order was nearly impossible because I wanted at least one of everything. I somehow exercised a tiny bit of self-control in this tiny bakeshop and settled on a breakfast sandwich along with a pastry to go. Both were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I only wish we had discovered Welton's earlier in our trip because I know we would have gone back at least once... probably twice... okay, maybe every morning. If you ever find yourself in Charleston, do yourself a favor and make this a priority stop. 100% worth the wait! A million stars for Weltons Tiny Bakeshop.

Since we were there 2.5 hours before closing, there didn't seem to be a lot of cake options available, but my husband and I decided to share a slice of the s'mores cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream to make it à la mode. The s'mores cake was a chocolate cake with mini marshmallows, chocolate fudge, graham crackers, and more marshmallows. The cake was good and had everything I could ever want in it, but it was a little dry. I think this also had to do with it being the end of the night. The ice cream complemented the flavor well. It would have been better with a second scoop of ice cream though. Service was great! It took about 10 minutes from when we ordered to get our dessert.
