Hit the spot! Simply outstanding bakery! Sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies are fresh and delicious. Service was good too!

I tried some pastries at Kudzu and was "Mt Pleasantly", surprised. I opted for the rum soaked and caramel praline offering. The cake was dense and flavorful. There rum complimented the overall flavor profile without being too invasive. I enjoyed it. The caramel cake was also nice and dense but still airy at the same time. Service was great which made the experience pleasurable.

I came here for pie day and I forgot to send my review in, but it was so yummy and I gifted some pie to some friends and some kids that I knew and they really enjoyed it. I think we got the pecan and some other pies, but they had a delcious selection of different desserts to Grab. They all look so yummy. They also had a cute little shop in there. I need to go back and look around maybe for some Christmas gifts, but they were easy to find, and had a good parking lot. It was pretty busy when I went but I had called ahead and asked what pies they had, customer service was good but again they were busy so I didn't get to chat much with them. I'm excited to go back and try some other sweet treats...

Stopped in for treats after eating lunch next door.we got 1/2 dozen cookies. OMG the coconut macaroon I have ever had. Ever! The other two cookies were also good but not as mind blowing as the moist coconut macaroon. They also had many different types of mixers for cocktails. I got some cool bitters for my bar.

This was my first visit to this bakery & market. I immediately noticed the baked goods, like the muffins, cookies, cheese danishes, and cinnamon rolls. The items were reasonably priced. I noticed an entire pecan pie for about 24 dollars. I looked around and found a variety of cute items from gourmet/flavored pop corn, flavored/smoked nuts, kitchen items like cutting boards, bottles of wine and more. I think there are plenty of cool gift ideas for the foodie in your life. I was surprised when glancing at the refrigerator section and finding cold sandwiches like pimento cheese, tuna ect. I also noticed savory items like a half chicken and grits casserole and much more, the variety of items was interesting. I purchased a cinnamon roll. It was a decent size, but it was not as sweet as I would have expected. If you like a sweeter pastry it might not be for you, I would have liked a little more icing and the traditional cinnamon roll taste. This roll was heavier on the cinnamon but it was nice and soft. The staff was professional, and the place appeared neatly organized.

I've passed by here plenty of times and today was the day I stopped in. There's so much to choose from it's overwhelming. I like that there's so many ready to go meals and homemade treats to choose from. They also showcase locally made kitchen goods which is nice. I took home a raspberry chocolate brownie and a key lime pie. The crust on the key lime pie was amazing! They asked me whether I wanted an edge piece or a center for the brownie which I loved! The brownie was amazing! Can't wait to go back and try more!

The woman that helped us was very kind and offered us waters right away. We ordered the baileys cheesecake. It was super rich and decadent. It didn't have a strong alcohol flavor, which I liked. While the café isn't officially pet friendly indoors, we've brought Luna inside with us just to place our order, and no one has ever said anything. If you're looking to sit and eat, there's a very cute (though small) porch area out front. Despite the limited seating, we've always managed to find an open spot during our visits. What I didn't realize until more recently is that they actually have a huge patio in the back as well. It's such a great space and gives you a lot more room to sit and relax. They even have a lift in the back area for disabled accessibility, which I thought was really great to see and not something you find everywhere. Always love the coffee here -- great flavor, consistent quality, and a spot we'll definitely keep coming back to.

The food is authentic, organic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. They have a great selection, including drinks, coffee, cakes, paninis, and sandwiches, and everything I've had has been excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with its own unique style and personality. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area, which makes it even better when the weather is nice. But the best part for me is the customer service. The owner and cook always treat me like family, come out to talk, and make the experience personal every single time. That kind of hospitality is hard to find and makes a big difference. I'm really glad we have a place like this in Mount Pleasant -- authentic food, great atmosphere, and genuinely wonderful people. I chose the Spicy Chicken Wrap and a caramel frappe. The frappe was pretty and also yummy. The wrap was huge - I could only eat half of it. It was essentially a large salad wrapped in a tortilla. It wasn't that spicy, but it was tasty. Service was quick, the place was clean, staff was friendly, and the food was good. I would certainly go back again.

Bakeshop of my dreams!!…read more This truly tiny bakeshop was super close by where I was staying in Downtown Charleston (the Moxy) and I'm so glad it was. I discovered it on Yelp when I was looking for spots to stop by before heading to the airport for my flight for a quick bite. There's the tiny bakeshop storefront and right next door is where they do all the baking. I'm noting this because I almost walked into the other spot but thankfully they had a sign on the door saying it was staff only and the bakeshop was right next door. The storefront itself had all the Southern charm, with a classic flower window box at the window and the friendliest staff greeting you as soon as you walked in. I went on a weekday around 8am and it wasn't busy at all. I was able to peruse their AMAZING selection & had the hardest time choosing. Thankfully, I had my uber waiting for me so I had to make quick decisions. I ended up getting a pastel de nata, everything bagel kolache, fig leaf sugar bun, and a dark choco chip cookie (because I always need to try the local cookie). Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I loved the variety in their pastries and was amazed that there were concepts for pastries I've never heard or tried before. Their menu selection is crazy and I would 100% come back to Charleston just for this bakery. I'll be back again! Thanks to Yelp for bringing me to my now fav bakeshop on this planet.
