Croissant coffee: they soaked the croissants in milk overnight, the result is a buttery coffee. All the sandwiches are delicious

Amazing pastries, be prepared to wait in line on any given morning because it is so popular. Service was very friendly and a lot of seating outdoors. Highly recommend.

Welton's Tiny Bakeshop is reportedly one of the top 5 bakeries in the country, so of course we had to check it out--and wow, it did not disappoint! The weekend line stretched out the door and around the corner, but every second was worth it. The strawberry cream danish was the star: light, refreshing, with a pastry that was fluffy, crispy, and soft all at once. The chocolate cookie packed rich flavor with dark chocolate chips--absolute perfection. The iced chai latte was just as delicious. On top of all that, the staff is so friendly and genuinely excited to serve everyone, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you're a pastry lover--it's an experience worth the hype!

Cold brew and a egg tart

Weldon Tiny Bakery truly deserves all the praise. The tart was incredible -- buttery flaky shell with a smooth vanilla egg custard filling that reminded me of a Portuguese tart. Perfectly balanced sweetness and so satisfying with the cold brew. Simple combo, but absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

There is a great reason that Weltons Tiny Bakeshop has long lines outside the door. The coffee is outstanding and the baked goods are just delicious. The only problem with this establishment is the horrendous task of trying to find parking in this area of town. I think I circled for about 15 minutes, the many one way systems did not help either. However, it was well worth the challenge. The staff are great, fast & courteous. The lines go by very fast. There is a tiny section outside with a few chairs tables between the two buildings to sit & drink your coffee. Also inside a tiny high bar to sit & enjoy your coffee. But overall this is a takeaway coffee spot. No lingering with the phone or computer for hours here. Definitely check it out.

Welton's Tiny Bakeshop is one of those places you immediately wish was closer to home. We tried several items, and every single one was outstanding but the Basque Cheesecake deserves its own moment. Hands down one of the most incredible desserts I've ever had. Perfectly creamy, deeply flavorful, and somehow rich without being heavy. I'll genuinely be dreaming about that cheesecake for a long time. We also had the Lemon Cloud Cookie (light, bright, and perfectly balanced), a Cinnamon Roll that was soft, gooey, and comforting in all the right ways, and another pastry I sadly didn't catch the name of -- but it was just as impressive. To top it off, the drinks were fantastic: an iced croissant latte (so unique and delicious) and an eggnog latte that tasted like the holidays in a cup. Everything felt thoughtfully made with incredible attention to flavor and quality. If you're even considering stopping by Welton's Tiny Bakeshop -- do it. You won't regret it

This place is absolutely outstanding. I used to live in CHS and I enjoy trying some new spots when I come back. I found this spot on YELP and came here twice on my Charleston stay it was so good. Everything we tried was amazing. I read there can be long lines so to come early. We arrived a little after 8am on the weekends and there was a steady flow of traffic but the line didn't really start until 9am. Even so, it seemed to move quick! I gravitate toward more savory items- and I obviously enjoyed these more. My three favorites were the breakfast biscuit, the salami hot honey croissant (not sure the true name) and the seasonal focaccia. They also had good coffee, which was a plus to add to my items. 10/10 recommend and will be back on my next visit!

I managed to show up when there wasn't a line. Probably was more in their favor than mine because I had plenty of time to pick out the entire case. The staff were SO friendly and helpful. 1.) Chocolate Croissants - flakey, buttery perfect ratio of chocolate to bread. Excellent! I'd say Top 3 Best Croissants I've ever had in my life. 2.) Strawberry Cream Danish - Excellent!!! 3.) Kolashe - All of them were amazing! 4.) Hot Honey Ham Croissant- What dreams are made of. All topped off with an Iced Croissant Milk Coffee! I'm incredibly picky with sweet coffee and this was the PERFECT blend of sweet, chocolatey but not overpowering coffee. ... Look, you cannot go wrong with anything here. go! Go! GO! The place is tiny, but mighty! (Good pictures do not exist because my eyes rolled in the back of my head in utter delight and I lost my "review" train of thought. And I doubt a crumb picture would be worth your time but I have a chocolate chip cookie left, along with some beautiful layers of the croissant.)

Incredibly delicious pastries! The bear claw with almond and cherries was very moist and had a strong cherry liqueur-flavored frangipane. The kouign amann was perfectly flaky with a caramel crust and subtle cardamom notes. My favorite was the orange creamsicle danish with tangy curd and cream cheese. I was so thrilled when I discovered they had my favorite pistachio milk!! First time I've ever seen it in a coffee shop in the Carolinas. And the draft salted pistachio iced latte was superb! The service was honestly the friendliest of my life. It was my first time in this bakery, and since everything looked so delicious I struggled to choose but the girls explained every pastry to me and were so polite, smiley, and fun. If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would, it was such a great experience!

Chocolate chip cookie, peach jam, olive oil almond cake

I visited Weltons Tiny Bakeshop on a weekend around 12:30 PM. They were already out of all of their morning pastries. I got the dark chocolate chip cookie and olive oil almond cake. If you like chocolate chip cookies that are more bready then you should try it. You could really taste the dark chocolate which I appreciated, but I did feel like it was lacking on some flavor. The cake slice had a nice flavor, but could've been more moist. I do want to go back to try the morning pastries but I don't think I'd get either of these again. It's a very small space, but they did have water and a sourdough sample which was really good. The staff was friendly.

This is a great little bakery. The line queues up quickly so I recommend getting there early. It does also move quickly, and the wait is worth it! The staff is kind, helpful, and doesn't rush you to order. Which was great because I didn't want to take too long but also wanted to order everything! Their menu has a great variety and their specials are delicious. Their coffee is also great, strong, and delicious with a flare. We had their toasted croissant latte, just yum! Today they had fresh apple cider donuts going on the side/ back patio and you didn't have to wait for the reg bakery line to order them. They are extremely fresh, great texture, and honestly the best I've had!

work up super early to get some treats for my family. everything was great, no complaints. the honey pie is my favorite. all the pastries were thoughtful and not too sweet. so good.

This is a must try when visiting Charelston. Cute and tiny Bakeshop where there's a line forming and I can see why. Fresh baked goodies packed with great and some unique flavors. Get there early before they run out of the staples like their breakfast sandwich. I order the pistachio latte which was easily a 10 out of 10. Since the breakfast sandwich was sold out and it would be an hour before the next batch was ready, I ordered the breakfast plate and that was good enough to get my palate going for the adventure that awaited for the remainder of the day. It was fresh, delicious and a good array of bites. While waiting in line, Libby, one of the amazing employees, brought out samples to indulge in so that we weren't waiting in vain. It was sooo good. Be sure to check them out and enjoy!

Luckily, we were able to be seated immediately but it was very close quarters with surrounding tables. The menu is vast with different dessert options. If you want to know what cakes are available, you should check out the display stand right when you enter. Since we were there 2.5 hours before closing, there didn't seem to be a lot of cake options available, but my husband and I decided to share a slice of the s'mores cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream to make it à la mode. The s'mores cake was a chocolate cake with mini marshmallows, chocolate fudge, graham crackers, and more marshmallows. The cake was good and had everything I could ever want in it, but it was a little dry. I think this also had to do with it being the end of the night. The ice cream complemented the flavor well. It would have been better with a second scoop of ice cream though. Service was great! It took about 10 minutes from when we ordered to get our dessert. I would probably come back here again, but not so late at night so there would be fresher cake with more options available.

We waited about 5 to 10 minutes to be acknowledged while two employees stood nearby. The two layer chocolate caramel pecan cake, which our waitress initially could not find, was dry and tasted stale. I would not order it again. The Tollhouse pie was a bit better, but the presentation and the whipped cream were the standouts, and the whipped cream wasn't even homemade! That's the best thing I could say about our experience. The food, pricing, service, and ambiance all fell below average. When you are located downtown with so many great dessert options around, you really need to step up your game. We will not be returning.

However, I made a promise that I would only have sugar if it's GOOD sugar, and I found that at Off Track. I just loved it here. "It's too expensive" - get over it, that's what you pay for high quality. "There's a huge line" - grab a pint of B&J at Harris Teeter instead and call it a night. Finally went last night with my date du jour and, as expected, HUGE line which didn't bother me at all. It moved fairly quickly, but would have moved more so if a few overweight women in line didn't ask to sample every flavor. One benefit of the long line is it gave me the chance to change my mind a total of nineteen times before hitting the register, finally opting for a fresh waffle cone loaded with peanut butter pie and fudgy chocolate brownie. A+ on the ice cream - creamy and delicious, just like my date du jour. Only slight (and I mean SLIGHT) complaint was how thin the waffle cone was, causing the ice cream to drip all over me (again, just like my date du jour). We got two double cones for about $21, and I'd pay that again. Super high quality and the ice cream was not overly sweet. I absolutely loved the big chunks of peanut butter in the one and massive chunk of brownie in the other. Made me feel like I was having a "ménage a trios" in my mouth. Also, the ladies who worked the front line killed it last night, and were sweet with smiles, which is increasingly rare, especially given the chaos on a hot Friday night. On Monday, I will before forced back on my sugar fast, but the next time I want a hit of "good" sugar, I will walk down the street to Off Track. We set a pickup time and I went to grab them just before my event. Christen had them ready and greeted me at the door. She actually does all the baking off site at a commercial kitchen and then offers pickup from her beautiful home downtown. I love this old school way of doing business and it adds a personal touch. Now for the cakes! Everyone was raving about them and asking where they came from... even people who said they don't even like chocolate cake (weirdos if you ask me). I lucked out because my guests had restraint and didn't devour every last mini cupcake so I took home about a dozen of them and enjoyed all of them with zero judgement from the party goers.
