So I have mostly just tried her stuff so far in other locations. Two of my favorite coffee shops buy her delicious pastries, but this was my first time going directly to the source. I needed some pastries for a teacher appreciation thing at my kids school so we decided to go with her homemade pop tarts. Although I love everything I have ever tasted that she makes, her pop tarts are super unique. And they are DELICIOUS. I've now tried strawberry, blueberry, and chocolate and they are all phenomenal. We were able to schedule an order to pickup about a week later, and she is so nice about being willing to make an assortment of flavors, and even packaging her new "pecan pie" ones separately, just in case anyone has an allergy. Love it! Little things like that go a long way in my book as far as service goes. The shop is small, but very cute. I love how woodsy and earthy everything looks. Her cake stands are round slices of wood and she has cute earthy decor all around. She was super busy, preparing for the pecan festival the day we were in, so the cases were empty but she was happy to tell us all about the things she had available in the back still. This should actually be called cakes and less... they had nothing in there... i was actually scared to taste the cupcake that we got because the young lady that rang us up was scratching her belly as she walked to the register... and then was cleaning her nails after... while she was at the register... She was a really nice girl though... they spoke when we came in which is always a good thing!! But anyway.... Just about all of the displays were empty and it didn't look like anything had been in there in a while... So the young lady said she had some Chocolate cupcakes with white icing on them in the back... and that's exactly what what the icing was.. white because it had no flavor at all... the cake just kind of tastes like brown flour with a couple of chocolate chips in it... but it was soft... but not sweet at all... This is a great little dessert place. They have cupcakes, doughnuts, and pies available. Our visit was on a Saturday afternoon so the choices were limited. I got the egg salad sandwich (chicken salad and tuna salad were out). It was classic and like my grandma makes. My kids got the cupcakes and a doughnut. The chocolate chocolate cupcake was good, but both kids didn't finish (I'm chalking this up to their finicky eating). I had the key lime cupcake, which was pretty and delicious. Coffee is from a Keurig (meh). The cashier and owner were both nice and courteous. I would go back, it is cheaper than Carytown cupcakes and closer to my house. Sweet is what it's all about in this Bakery. Cupcakes , pies , Buckeyes , specialty cakes and MOORE. You can run in and take out or sit, relax and enjoy your sweet treat . They have a quaint area for sitting and eating. I chose 2 salted caramel , 2 carrot cake and 2 apple spice cupcakes.They were all tasty. The carrot cake cupcake was a tad dry, but still had great flavor. They did not have cream cheese frosting and let me know they could put vanilla frosting on it . Carrot cake needs cream cheese. I thought I would give this bakery a try , I ordered cupcakes and 2 cakes from here for my Daughters 4th birthday party, My guest were very disappointed as the cakes and icing had a funny taste . The cakes seemed to be overly saturated with a butter taste and the icing did not taste like a normal buttercream . It seemed like the right ingredients were not used and someone inexperienced made these cakes. It was very disappointing bc I the cakes are supposed to be the highlight of a party and these were a big Flop! We are new to the area and was looking for a bakery to make a gender reveal cake. I emailed Ashley a picture of what we were looking for and she said she could definitely do that. A week later I showed up to pick up the cake and was pleasantly surprised how well they replicated the design my daughter wanted. I had to bring some cupcakes to work at the last minute. I drove by this bakery and decided to stop in. It was almost closing time and I needed almost 20 white cupcakes. They were so friendly and accommodated me. They got some cupcakes from the back, iced and decorated them for me. The cupcakes were amazing! My coworkers are still asking me where I got them.
