Second most important, how's the house coffee? Unfortunately, it's weak and a little watery. Third, how's the latte? Great! Just was missing foam but it was smooth and rich. Fourth, staff? I've been here twice now. I might get one more chance before going home to Georgia. The service is great! First trip I had a large cold brew coffee and a cinnamon bun. Good coffee. The bun of fantastic. Sticky, sweet, warm - maybe the best I have ever had. Today was a Macchiato (it turned cold). The coffee was great. There was plenty of espresso and the right amount of milk. Most shops do mostly milk and some coffee. Two thumbs up. I also had a blueberry muffin and a banana nut bread muffin. Both great and fresh as can be. Please try this place. Let me start by saying my Wife and I love coffee and we prefer to support local business. From a coffee perspective, we think Grant Coffee is five star. Unfortunately, coffee isn't the only thing they do. Today we visited for the fourth time. One other couple was in the whole place & there were three people behind the counter. Did we get a greeting? no. Once at the counter the young lady was pleasant enough however the gentleman behind the counter borders on unfriendly & rude. Now, I'm no Customer Service expert, but I'd figure a village coffee shop would be full on a beautiful Saturday morning... My Wife ordered a cinnamon roll, warmed. I guess technically it was "warmed" since it was above room temp, but barely. My breakfast sandwich was done well. All food had good flavor and service was the speed I'd expect from a small coffee shop. We'd go back if we were in the village, but certainly wouldn't go out of our way with so many other options. read more

Love that this place is Veteran owned! Their latte was smooth, flavorful and even without adding pumps of syrup was quite good. Very good mocha, not too sweet which is my preference. We are active duty and love to support local businesses especially those who give a shout out to the military ( military discount offered). I will say the drinks are Starbucks prices. I order a Chai tea fap with almond milk. Appearance watery. What I received was more like flavored water without the flavor. Living in Chester one gets used to the sad hegemony of chain stores. The opening of Grant Coffee Company, however, represents an exciting spurt of locally-driven growth in our community! Unsatisfied with Starbucks or fast-food coffees for either their prices, their flavor, or both, I have gotten used to not getting coffee in the morning on my way to work or just waiting till I get into the city to grab something. My plight is now over! I swung into Grant this morning to check out their offerings and was pleasantly surprised to find cold brew on the menu! They have all your classic espresso based drinks too. My partner grabbed a caramel macchiato on his way to work right when they opened at 6, and he couldn't stop raving about the quality of the beans and the good prices. $3.30 for a large cold brew is indeed a steal. Most other shops around charge a flat $4 for a 20 oz. This spot is hip with its stainless steal and clean furniture. There is a ton of seating whether you're there to do homework, work remotely, or catch up with friends. The owners' work to help provide meaningful employment to the autistic community is just another great reason to patron this place in addition to their quality coffee, comfortable location, and incredible prices. Any long-term Chester dwellers will remember when this location was once Chester Perk, a coffee shop that closed due to a lack of business. I hope Chester and the surrounding suburbs take note of this fantastic local addition to our village community and support this shop accordingly. read more

Grant's is in the neighborhood so we walked up for a coffee one morning. It wasn't too crowded. Service was great. I got something frozen and it was good, unfortunately I can't remember what it was. I hear they are adding musicians so that will help create some atmosphere. My only complaint about Grants is that they aren't open long enough! They close shortly after lunch I believe. Bagels aren't good enough to be labeled "mediocre". They dole out cream cheese like the future of the company hinges on how much goes on YOUR bagel RIGHT NOW! And they don't even spread it for you. You get a cup and a flimsy plastic knife that literally can't handle the job. And everything is a fortune. I understand that this is a little local business but what you pay extra, you're supposed to get back in value. You don't. Go down the road to WaWa and get a Sizzli instead... ...or go to Grant's where you won't get alot, but you'll pay alot. read more
