White cake with delicious peanut butter filling!
    Laura G.

Oh my god!! I am so happy that I found this lovely lady from yelp!! Was looking to get a cuban cigar (cohiba) fondant cake for my fiancé and couldn't find a damn place! After sifting through numerous sites and yelp I stumbled upon Marisa ! She has been so patient with me and my many changes! Haha thanks Marisa ! She catered to all of my needs and has been truly amazing... I found a cake that I wanted her to replicate and she did it even better than I was anticipating ! White cake and peanut butter (fiancé favorite) and it was amazing .. It was indeed a crowd pleaser and I plan on telling everyone about her bc she is truly a talented individual and options and prices will make anyone happy ! Get your next cake made by Marisa !! Will most likely have her make my cake for the big day!!! Loved it!!! Excellent quality fondant it tasted like marshmallow! I love marshmallow nomnomnom on

Super Mario theme but my son also loves Spider-Man. Marissa's cake fit in perfectly with all the colors

Marissa did my son's birthday cake for his 5th birthday. I was so happy she did a similar cake before to what I wanted. The cake came out perfectly and tasted great. We did a Spider-Man 5 cake with red velvet and cream cheese filling. Everyone loved the cake especially my son. Marissa even made the Spider-Man figurine herself using the fondant (when other places would have just put something plastic on top). I'm very happy I went with her, she was professional and her communication and timing was excellent. Thanks Marissa!

Beautiful cake. Excellent service and it was just delicious:) We loved it and I already recommended to my friends. I called a month an advance. I spoke to Marissa on a phone and sent her a text message with the cake that I want and she did a great job!

    Our three-tiered lemon wedding cake

Marissa did an amazing job on our wedding cake, and we loved working with her! We sent her a few pictures of the kinds of wedding cakes we had in mind (three tiers, with a white buttercream frosting and some simple green foliage), told her what flavor we wanted (lemon cake with vanilla lemon buttercream filling), the number of people attending (175) and the place and time of the reception - and Marissa took care of the rest! The cake was delicious and gorgeous - exactly what we wanted to fit our rustic wedding in the Hudson Valley - and the whole process was seamless. Marissa also baked a gorgeous LOL Doll-themed custom cake for my 7-year-old niece, whose birthday was on our wedding day. We had sent a picture to Marissa of a LOL Doll , and Marissa made a cake shaped exactly like it. It was truly stunning and my niece was thrilled! Thank you Marissa for making our wedding cake so special!! We would HIGHLY recommend her!

Stumbled on her thru yelp for my nieces birthday party that was going to be within the end of the week. Even though she was super busy she was able to pull off the requested cake and it tasted delicious.

Marissa made my son's first birthday cake and smash cake. They came out absolutely adorable!! Not only were they showstoppers but they tasted delicious!! The vanilla cake with raspberry buttercream center was to die for!! I can't wait to use her for our next event.

Vanilla with vanilla buttercream princess cake.

Ordered a cake for my baby's 1st birthday (vanilla with vanilla buttercream) and it was the best birthday cake we had. The two tier cake was more than enough for 25 guest. It was an amazing and beautiful cake. We will definitely come back for the next event.

Marissa created s beautiful cake. She knew my vision and did exactly that. The cake itself was delicious and was too pretty to cut! She was accommodating and took the time to answer all of my questions.

Marissa is really an amazing person, after contacting her and discuss my ideas with her, she did an amazing job with both cakes that I had ordered and those cakes tasted Really good, one was for my husband birthday and the other one for my son birthday. She really surprised me. She does an awesome job...

Powerpuff girl "blossom" birthday cake for my daughter !! Total Perfection !
    Elaine G.

I ordered a powderpuff girl theme blossom fondant cake for my daughters 6th birthday. The cake wAs everything I hoped for. It was cute simple and taste so delicious. The hot fudge cake was yummy you can smell the goodness from outside the box. All my guest enjoyed every bite they even went for seconds. Customer service was great and best of all Marissa made my daughters dream of a power puff girl cake come true. Will definitely order more future cakes with her.

Whole process since ordering the cake to the final day deserves 5 stars. Marissa made an amazing cake by only a photo I sent to her. She was very helpful and answered all my questions. I will definitely reccomend her to everyone

I can not say enough good things about working with Marissa and the quality of her work. I luckily came across Marissa's page while I was in search of a vendor for my husbands 30th surprise party cake - knowing exactly what I wanted most traditional bakeries tried charging me a ridiculous amount of money and the quality was not worth the price. Once I found Marissa I was hopeful that she would be able to help - when she called to discuss details and prices she really went out of her way to work with me and understand exactly what I was looking for. The day of the party when the cake arrived I was beyond impressed and so happy the cake looked exactly the way I had pictured it & once me and my husband tasted it I knew I could never even think of using anyone else besides Marissa for any type of specialty cake ever again. I received so many complements on how amazing the cake looked and tasted- the chocolate and chocolate fudge cake was incredible. I am so happy and impressed with how great everything worked out and have already given Marissa's information out to a few people. thank you so much Marissa !!! I looks forward to working with you on my next event cake!!

A stunning cake! The picture does not even do it justice.

We ordered one strawberry and one strawberry banana crêpe. They were filled with strawberries and bananas, and the outside was drizzled with glorious Nutella, which is a hazelnut chocolate sauce . The texture of the crêpes were absolutely perfect and that was the part I was most craving. I also loved the Nutella part. The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. All good and definitely satisfied my crêpe craving, but next time I would stop by to enjoy their desserts in person. The Kunafa looks particularly wonderful and has definitely peaked my curiosity.

Having a dessert spot in the neighborhood that is open late night and is serving flavors of our culture is nothing short of a dream come true. Not so great for my weight loss goals, though haha. Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

They've also got amazing cakes (including a fantastic carrot cake) and a great selection of treats that keep you coming back. What really makes this place special, though, is the owner, Peter. He's always welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. He greets customers with a smile, takes the time to say hello, and creates an atmosphere that feels both personal and inviting. The staff deserves just as much praise--every single one of them is amazing: professional, friendly, funny, and kind. I've known many of them over time, and they consistently go above and beyond. Today, one of the staff members was incredibly sweet--she even brought my order out to me while I was sitting in my car. That kind of service is rare and really shows how much they care. Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

It was a bit warm at our table, and the friendly staff moved us to a cooler area. To drink, I ordered the Wolf's Fang for $18, a blend of rums, falernum, arak, passionfruit, orange, and oat milk. As described, it was their take on a milk punch, and wasn't too sweet with a bright hint of citrus. I would recommend it. The hummus was good, being thick with a strong tahini flavor, though I have preferred others. Outside of the hummus, the daily salatim included a mix of mostly pickled items. First, there was some pickled cauliflower and carrots with a bit of turmeric. The second salatim was a more unique and spicier pineapple slaw, which was refreshing, and had some herbal flavor from parsley or something similar. The third was a cabbage slaw, which was alright, as I found it a bit too lightly seasoned. The last was a mix of cucumbers, olives, and other pickles, which was standard and tasty. Alongside all of this, the pita was warm and fresh, and the staff refilled everything when we asked. For the main course, I chose the Steak Shashlik, which they spell as shishlik, for $46, which came with tahini and some pickled onions. The steak was tender and well seasoned, and the tahini added a distinctive nuttiness. I especially enjoyed making a mini sandwich with the steak, tahini, pineapple pickle, and pita. Others at the table ordered the Spicy Lamb Kofta and other shashlik options, including Chicken and Trout. In terms of sides, someone got the $15 Fries with tahina ketchup, which they enjoyed. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal, with no one ordering dessert as a few walked over to the tasty Bertoni Gelato nearby. This place is a tad expensive, but I wouldn't mind going back. Even as a fan of pickles, I wish the salatim were a bit more varied, such as including an eggplant or bean-based mezze. I presume the dinner version is a bit more varied, as there are many more salatim, but they should put a bit more effort into the lunch one as well.

Seating space (not a lot of it, so I imagine it can get packed on busy times) and bathrooms on premises. Hot chocolate was delicious. We got the spiced dark chocolate and the spices were overwhelming. Get dark chocolate without spices. The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection. It's all very sweet, so if you're looking for a less sweet option go with Belgian dark chocolate flavor. For a $18 banana split you get three scoops of ice cream and a caramelized banana. Not a big portion for such hefty price. The tiny addition of toppings didn't make this banana split come together into a cohesive dish. Would get something else next time. Definitely not a good deal. Flavor-wise, I tried the masala chai, black cherry cardamom, and the saffron soft serve. The saffron soft serve reminded me of the leftover milk from ras malai turned into soft serve, which was interesting and nostalgic. The masala chai and cherry cardamom were more subtle than I hoped. Some tasted unique upfront but left a slightly weird aftertaste that kind of lingered. I respect what they're trying to do and can see why people love it, especially if you're easing into more globally inspired desserts, but for the price, I wanted stronger flavor payoff and a cleaner finish. TLDR: Unique global inspired ice cream flavors, friendly staff, and free samples, but some flavors felt muted and had an odd aftertaste.
