Was suggested to try this bakery by a coworker as he swore it would impress me by being ckise to…read more"grandma used to make it".. Inconspicuously tucked away in a corner of a small Plaza, I almost didn't see it ar first. As I finally arrived and entered, the little bakery gave off vibes of being a Metropolitan convenience store where you stand in a small enclosed area and everything is behind a glass to protect the clerks from nefarious activity. Very odd, but I'm here for the cakes, so let's move on. As I feverishly looked to see what cakes were offered... I chose Italian cream cake, and red velvet. Two of my favorites and classics with cream cheese icing. The hunks of cake were of huge proportion and had a good heft to where it felt like you were getting your monies worth. I rushed home to enjoy them in my own space. The first bite was of course, Italian... hmmm. That didn't go well. I took another... the cake had a proper flavor, but exhibited a dense soemwhat gummy but dry texture. I also caught a hint of egg yolk on my tongue, a taste I'm all to familiar with when my grandma admittedly fouled one of her recipes in a rush. Moved on to the red velvet, again the same dense slightly gummy but dry texture. No hint of egg this time, but I decided to put it into the microwave for 10 seconds. Maybe a slight touch of heat would revive the freshness just long enough to make it palatable. Unfortunately, it only helped slightly. I like warm cake, but I know what I know... this isnt a mishap, this is their signature and to be honest, I've had box cakes that was much more inviting than this. Unfortunately.. I have no desire for a second try.

I got the same results, gummy, dry and densed with no taste. I guess that's what people like in her area lol because she would've been out of business where I live.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, colorful, and welcoming--think beachy charm with a touch of artsy personality. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which sets the tone for a relaxed, enjoyable meal. The food is where this place really shines. Breakfast and brunch are standouts, with creative twists on classics. The French toast is thick, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, while the omelets are loaded with fresh ingredients and cooked just right. Their baked goods--especially the muffins and pastries--taste homemade in the best possible way.
