The one star reviews on this place are ridiculous. Yes it's expensive in walking distance to Rosemary beach. Yes it's hard to hire staff these days. Our family had an awesome experience with great friendly staff. The set up is a bit chaotic, but staff was patient with our kids (and me). Definitely worth an after dinner outing if you are staying in the area or dining in the complex. read more

I love this place!! If you like cookies you can't go wrong here. My boyfriend was having a sweet tooth craving which is not typical so I jumped all over that. Found this place close to where we were staying which worked out perfectly. The staff was awesome! Thanks guys for putting up with our tipsy friend. We were thinking of ordering a cake but they closed in 5 minutes and it was going to be fifteen before they could even frost it. Bummer! So we decided on cookie cake slices. When you come to a place this late, you worry about the freshness but wow!!! They tasted like they had come from the oven. Delish!!! I had two pieces that night. The other real perk about this place is the ability to get ice cream here. My daughter really wanted ice cream so we were able to satiate both needs at the same place. It was a win-win! I love that they offer both and that late or not, the quality was on point. I won't hesitate to come back here every time we visit Rosemary. I went here with my parents for the marble slab section of the store. The ice cream itself was phenomenal as usual for marble slab!! The waffle cone on the other hand seemed stale as if it had been sitting out for a while... That aside, I still give this shop 4 stars. read more

Disappointing! Avoid and go to a better ice cream place. I've been to this location (Great American Cookies and Marble Slab in one building) in years prior. My experience had always been great. However, this trip: the staff dropped my wife's cup of ice cream on the counter and refused to make a new one, did not mix the toppings and ice cream but put liquid strawberries on the ice cream and put in the cup (it was a horrible melted mess), which melted all over the outside of the cup before they handed it to me. Worst experience I've ever had at a Marble Slab. A bunch of teenagers working that weren't trained right. Let the ice cream melt on slab and didn't mix together. When she handed me the ice cream she wasn't looking and dropped half of my ice cream on the counter before I could grab it. She walked away so fast she hasn't even realized what she had done, so I had to ask another employee to clean it up. I was expecting common courtesy of them asking to make me another but that didn't happen. The ice cream was a liquid by then and spilling over the sides I had to ask for another cut to cover my cup. Had multiple people walk out of the store talking about how messy their ice cream was. I'm all for hiring young people but they need to be taught what they are doing. read more

We were visiting in Rosemary Beach and called through Doordash to order a cookie cake late in the evening, 30 minutes before closing. The girl was so sweet and accommodating. Even though Doordash wasn't available to deliver, the girl said she had a friend who would make sure we got it. The friend ended up being her MOTHER!! It was the sweetest thing that they got this to us. And her mom had to walk the last block due to a street closure! Above and beyond!! They were so great!! Cookie was great too! read more

To all of my fellow ice cream lovers, If you're looking for a good, nice, cold ice cream off a marble slab, DO NOT GO HERE. I went here with my family and friend hoping for a nice ice cream treat and what we got was a melted, room temperature, thrown-together ice cream cone. Not only was the ice cream consistency not acceptable, the workers were very rude as well. As I put in my order, the worker glared me and rolled her eyes. She acted like we were stupid. It was as if the last thing she wanted was to be there. Not only was her attitude bad, but when she was putting together my ice cream instead of chopping it up and then mixing it together well, she slowly just pressed it into a ball so it wasn't mixed well at all. The only reason I'm giving this two stars and not one is because even though the ice cream was room temperature and melted, it still tasted pretty good. Going here was a huge waste of my time and I'm strongly advising you NOT TO GO HERE. (Not speaking for the Great American Cookie Company section...) read more

When a customer walks into a restaurant, the first thing he/she notices is the atmosphere. Smiling faces in front and behind the counter and great dialogue between coworkers and customers. Needless to say the great smell of ice cream. However, as I approached the ice cream bar, I noticed a lack of cleanliness and refrigeration in and around the cream. As I made my selection of ice cream (chocolate), I eyed the art of scooping and transferring. The scoop, which I noticed was not sanitized thoroughly, and the "slab," containing reminiscences of other flavors of ice cream and toppings, both gave me doubt when the cream went to cone. Within minutes of being handed the over priced chocolate ice cream cone, the ice cream had turned practically into a runny milkshake, dripping and splashing over the ground, my car, and myself. While the chocolate flavor itself was above average, the toppings of "snickers" and "oreo" were stale from the unprofessional containing and maintaining of the toppings. Needless to say I will be taking my business to Baskin Robins, the world's superior ice cream store*. *This was written by the Baskin Robins' cult. Went to Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookie Store expecting good ice cream, just to be disappointed. When going to Marble Slab, there supposed to fold the topping into the ice cream, which is what we asked for, and they didn't, they just folded it once and called it a day. One member of our group was handed their ice cream, but before they could grab it, the person serving it dropped it, causing half of it to fall. After a while, we got a staff's attention and helped us clean up the obvious mess, and after all of that, the did not offer to remake the ice cream. Also, they did not allow the ice cream to freeze up on the marble slab, causing ice cream to melt all over your hands, and the floors were sticky because of it. At the end of it all, we say outside to try and enjoy our messed up ice cream, and during that time a lady walked out, complaining the ice cream had gotten all over her hands, and a kid complained it was dripping onto his shoes as he walked. Amazing ice cream, but the concept and atmosphere is nothing original. Its clean and they have enough seating but its very similar to every other ice cream shop. However their ice cream is homemade which is probably why its delicious! The staff wasn't friendly either. Perhaps, it was because its at night but it seemed like they had mentally gone home and were pissed off at having to be there and serve us. Hence why I am giving it three stars! I will be back though and perhaps may update this review. :) I might try to go at a different time. read more
