It tasted very good. The frosting was delicious. However, it was a dense cake. It could have been more light and fluffy. Also, their display case had very little in it. This was the cutest bakery! They have a few gluten free options that were delicious and the coffee was very good. We tried the pimento cheese dip and the tuna were both good as well! I did some research on the area and called the bakery ahead of time. The pictures online are beautiful and helped me to choose a cake for my niece's 16th birthday. The prices are good considering what you're getting. The cake was beautifully done and tasted great. The icing is a little sweet for my taste but not overly sugary like a lot of cakes. It also didn't taste bad with coloring which is important. They also had a lot of fun options in the case. Service was great. I ordered a quarter sheet vanilla birthday cake on Monday for Friday pick up to be decorated in a beach theme for my wife and three year old grandson whose birthdays are two weeks apart. We were vacationing in CSB. We stopped in on Wednesday to pick up some chicken salad and breakfast pastries. They were delicious. The lady told me she had just taken my cake out of the oven and put in the fridge to await Friday morning decoration and pickup. I get a call on Friday morning informing me that "our cake decorator couldn't come in, SO I'M SORRY BUT WE WILL NOT HAVE A CAKE FOR YOU." When I told her that the decorations weren't that important and the main thing was the cake itself, she told me, "I'M SORRY BUT WE ARE OUT OF BUTTERCREAM ICING. I HAVE YOUR CAKE BUT IT WILL BE PLAIN WITH NO ICING." It was 8:02 AM in the morning. We needed the cake for birthday dinner that evening. How can you call yourself a bakery and not be able to run across the street to Piggly Wiggly and get the ingredients to make buttercream icing and have it ready by 4:00PM for pickup?? How is there absolutely no "Plan B" for a cake cooked on Wednesday but no decorator on Friday morning? And no icing?? At a bakery?? And it's only 8AM?? Such a disappointment after Wednesday's visit. By the way, we called a lady we found in Eastpoint at 9:00 AM. She works out of her home and on short notice had us a 10" vanilla birthday cake DECORATED IN A BEACH THEME IN BUTTERCREAM ICING ready for pickup at 3:00PM. She saved the day. I feel like Bayside Bakery just completely gave up at 8AM and showed zero initiative or effort to make good on their agreement to deliver us a birthday cake. read more

I tried the gluten‑friendly key lime pie (which didn't have a crust, so think creamy, tart filling in a neat cup) and a gluten‑friendly brownie. The key lime pie was delightfully refreshing and perfectly tart, with that signature citrus zing, it was all bright flavor and smooth texture. They also offered 3 more gluten-friendly dessert options that day, one of which being something similar to an almond joy which impressed me. They really seem to make an effort to accommodate dietary needs. Of course, they had beautiful looking regular pastries available too if gluten isn't a concern. They also had breakfast and lunch options available as well!! I had two iced lattes, both of which were well‑brewed and refreshing. I highly recommend the white chocolate latte (add a little cinnamon). The shop's atmosphere was laid‑back and welcoming, ideal for a little break with dessert and coffee. After eating lunch in historic downtown Port St. Joe we walked around the town. We came across this bakery and even though we were full from lunch we decided to check it out. My husband bought their peanut butter cookies and I bought a brownie. It was cheap but looked delicious. When we got back to our camper my husband ate one of his cookies and they tasted as good as his mom's and she made amazing cookies so they did good. My brownie was very chocolate and it was so delicious. They were making and decorating cakes when we were there and they looked beautiful. Try it out. read more
