I've been having to use it a lot lately - if your worried about the who ha flu bring your N95 masks. I see that the most seasoned Bart riders have that along with some reading material. Bart trains can get crowded. Especially during rush hour at connecting trains. Maybe avoid that if you can but if you've got a direct route you might want to give it a try. I recently saw a very model type lady get on the train here. She was very well dressed and chose not to sit down although many many seats were open. She angled her body slightly into the wall against a metal vertical handbar jamming her shoulder - locked in place. She didn't touch anything. Thats classy. She was a pro at this Bart thing. I don't remember what kind of mask she wore but I was curious how she could balance so well with the unpredictable starting and stopping of the train. She was wearing very stylish but sensible shoes that I remember thing was aiding in her balancing act. IDk you might not want to bring the children. For one thing they will want to touch everything..... but it depends on your parenting technique. I've personally not witnessed anything much except some youngsters smoking between the cars which I think could make a great designated smoking section anyway.

It's…read morekind of a barebones type of station -- offering very little in terms of anything besides benches, Clipper Card stations and ticket kiosks. I suppose that if the goal was to create a station devoid of loitering, then this was a great design. It's simply....basic. However, the best part of this station is the basic design. The old station required passengers going west (along Grand Avenue) to walk a large flight of stairs onto a busy overpass, cross that road and then walk down the overpass to Grand Avenue. The new station has a pedestrian underpass -- allowing you to get to Grand Avenue or Airport Blvd. much more safely and quickly. It really is appreciated after the sun goes down! I used to hate the old station. In fact, I preferred to drive from my home (in Palo Alto) just to avoid the hassle -- even though I had to pay for parking. This station has caused me to prefer taking Caltrain to any meetings in downtown South San Francisco. It's close enough (on foot) to most areas of the downtown that I don't need to bring a bike on the train. While I think that the station is simple (and the cost overruns and construction delays were annoying), this is a very nice and basic train station that might be overlooked for its simplicity. However, sometimes, "basic" is better than complex. It is in this case.

windy asf worst 15min in my life…read more once i came out from the train i knew something was wrong. it was middle of highway and wind was just pmo. i had to wait 15min for uber to pick up because obviously who wanna pick up in the middle of freeways. nowhere to sit and i was just standing fighting against the wind actually more like getting demolished by wind. Yea and of course uber driver got confused where to pick up because this fk ass station is again middle of nowhere.

Beyond the gorgeously painted giant mural (lets all take a moment because it really is breathtaking) this station is more empty than the cutting board after I turned my back for a moment. Dalmations, amiright? Not only was it totally empty it's one of those horrid double sided stations I hate similar to Lawrence. When if someone is trying to pick you up you're SOL because they may end up on the wrong side of the street from you and there's nothing you can do. Worrisome if you're calling an Uber. I'm pretty glad I don't work in this area - at least 22nd street has some amount of life to it.

Saturday Morning at the Bart Station…read more After dropping off my grandkids for their flight to the East Coast, I decided to take BART home instead of calling a Lyft -- even though my daughter kept telling me I should just take one. I've ridden BART plenty of times before. Usually it's crowded, sometimes a little grimy, but it gets the job done. This time, though, I was honestly surprised. The SF International Airport station felt clean, organized, and surprisingly calm. Maybe was because it was Saturday? Who knows. Either way, the whole ride felt easy and peaceful -- a really nice way to head home after an emotional airport goodbye.

While visiting SanFran the traffic can be terrible, and parking is hard to come by, when in areas but many stations are conveniently located near major streets and popular attractions. There are 3 major lines to transverse between NorCal area - yellow, red and blue. The BART is clean and most people respect and follows the rules of "no eating or drinking". I also like now each exits are cornered off in plexiglass....previously it was wide opened so you see a couple local people (mostly teenagers or young adults ) jumping over the turnstiles to avid paying the fares.

I've never been to Grand Central station in New York, but I would describe this station as Grand Cetral-esque. I like how it's an open design from the inside since you can view and enjoy the structure as a whole. It makes it appear very expansive - kinda like a dome structure. AND...it's close to Trader Joe's, Costco, Starbucks and other businesses. Take BART and you're there. (I sound like the commercial)

It's not like BART where you could add money. I took my bike on the train to work for the first time to participate with the annual "Bike To Work Day" presented by Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition. I think it would help you if you watch YouTube videos at Caltrain website to give you more details of the dos and don'ts. Of course I didn't, so there are rules that I learned during my ride. For example, make sure to get a yellow tag for your bike and mark your destination. For example, "San Mateo to Mountain View." This will help other riders placed their bikes with the same destination next to yours. Also, look for train cars with a bike icon, and know ahead which train # stops at your final destination. Overall, my experience was fantastic. Customer service on the phone and email was also excellent. Cheers!

Also, if you are in the South Bay, you can take Caltrain to Milbrae and then transfer to BART for a short ride to the airport.

Problem with this station is that there are no vending machines and not knowing the area. Hard to venture out with luggage in tow to look for edibles. No luggage check ins here. My bus was delayed but no announcements were made. A lady employee finally came out to tell passengers there is delay due to traffic but no eta for bus. After that, no more updates. Bus came 1 1/2 hours later with passengers standing around. Where was the customer service? This station. Is not busy with lines of passengers making inquiries and there were two employees.
