Love this place. The owner is lovely, they give insane portions and everything is cooked to perfection. I slept like a baby after this meal!

    Disgusting Chicken Parmesan

It's hard to find the words to describe how awful our take out was. It was inedible and absolutely disgusting. I'm so surprised because we've had pizza in the restaurant several times and it was always decent. Tonight's food was only suitable for the trash can. We ordered a Calabria Caesar salad and a Chicken Parmesan dinner. First every single piece of lettuce in the salad was a soggy wilted mess. If that wasn't bad enough my second forkful had a 2 inch piece of completely raw bacon. We couldn't bare to eat anymore of the salad. It all went in the trash. I think before tonight I would have thought how bad can chicken parm be? Well this was by far the worst chicken parmigiana I have ever tasted. There was absolutely nothing redeeming about it. The chicken seemed to be frozen cooked chicken tenders covered in the most sickening sweet sauce I have ever tasted. The chicken was terrible and the sauce was even worse. Again, the entire dinner was only deserving of the trash. The side pasta was also topped with the same sickening sweet sauce. Now we do enjoy a slightly sweet sauce on pizza however you cannot use that same sauce for penne. It just doesn't work. Gross. Finally the even the garlic bread that was served was a disaster. The bread didn't have crisp to it. I'm almost positive they sliced some Italian bread brushed some melted butter on both sides then added some spices. It was downright terrible. In conclusion, this will be the last time we ever dine here or order take out. The food is just terrible. Beyond terrible in fact. Do not waste your money at this restaurant.

    Cheese pizza

We were traveling through and decided to stay in Scranton for the night. We were hungry and my husband found this place and ordered pizza. This was probably some of the best pizza I have had. The sauce was kind of sweet and mixed well with the saltiness in the cheese. The crust was perfect! We just ordered to go so I can't speak to eating in. But I do recommend this pizza!

So many pizza joints in Dunmore. Calabria Pizza seems to be one of the go-to places for families. We were brought here by a friend who came here a lot with family back in the day. We had the Old Forge Pizza, which is a huge, thick crust rectangular pizza. We ordered one tray with half mushrooms and half bacon. The pizza had a nice crispy bottom and the cheese was very creamy like Alfredo sauce. I love thick crust pizza and mushrooms so I really enjoyed it. It's a very unique style of pizza. Something you won't find outside of this PA area so I highly recommend it if you're craving pizza. We started off with the garlic knots. They were good and plentiful. The marinara sauce was a little sweet. I was not impressed with the other items we ordered. The Linguine with Clams in white sauce was really bland. The white sauce was just butter and the noodles were cooked a little too long. The pasta comes with a side salad, but they forgot to bring it to us until we asked, towards the end of dinner. The fried calamari looked more like onion rings and I didn't like the breading they used. We also had fries with buffalo sauce and cheese and jalapeno poppers. Both are your typical fried, cheesy appetizers. The portion size of the dishes are pretty generous and it's not expensive at all. Service was decent. For some reason, they gave us paper to-go cups for water while all of the other tables got plastic cups. The entrance to the restaurant in in the rear, where the parking is.

18 minutes to get to the counter to get food pickup from the counter.

Normally great pizza and food. Got to establishment to pick up food and the line was 8 people long outside in the winter. Girls worked hard and fast but the back up was surprisingly long. 18 min to simply get in and pick up and pay for food. There's got to be an easier way. Maybe utilize the other window as an outside pickup window? Got home to enjoy the pizza. Surprisingly, there was very little sauce on both pizzas ordered. Calabria's is known for their sweet sauce and normally orders have a fair amount of sauce to taste on their pizza. Tonight was a really off night as the pizza was mostly bread and cheese.

We stumbled in, and we had a great meal. Tired and hungry, we had 6 people ready to eat after a day on the slopes. The front of the place does not do it justice. You can't see a dining room from the front, and EAST Drinker is full of bars and pizza carry out type places. As such, we were not completely sure this place had seats. It does. We ordered up a storm, and were really happy to eat some basic italian food. This is not olive-oil infused regional cooking were the chef was trained in Tuscany. This is NYC style, big pizzeria type italian. They do offer more more than your typical 'joint" but it is very much a basic spaghetti joint. The sauce they use is very sweet. You may or may not love that. But it worked for everyone at our table, including kids. They served us great steamed broccoli and garlic bread on the side. I had eggplant parm, and it was great. I kind of liked the sweeter sauce, and my parm came with a side of ziti which was a nice addition. It was WAY WAY more food than I could eat myself, and I had it for lunch and dinner the next day. The service was simply perfect. She kept the squirmy kids going with super fast salad and drinks, and then got the food out quickly, refilling drinks while in-between. All that was very much appreciated. 3 adults, 3 kids--$75 and we ate like pigs. All and all, it was a great meal in the nick of time!

Fantastic Locally owned business in the heart of Dunmore, Pa Good food at a great price, nice atmosphere. They have recently undergone a remodel and it looks great!! I have grown up on their food. Sauce is a bit on the sweeter side if you like that and they have so many different items to choose from.

Let me first start with saying, I was not intending to author a review this evening. However…read more.. this restaurant did so many things right, I needed to send praise their way. (1) Presentation and ease of care - As you can see from the photo, they made and excellent presentation of our multiple item dinner instead of giving us multiple boxes. I loved this, because it was sooo easy to carry with my toddler son. (2) Quality of ingredients - I ordered a small tossed salad and was almost not going to because it was $6.95 ... it was worth it! They included olives, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and Ken's Balsamic dressing. The garlic knots were so moist and frankly, the best I've ever had. (3) Pizza quality - this is where they could do a bit better, but I'll give them that I walked in 30 minutes before close. The pizza was good, but not great - crust was a bit flat, but it really did hit the spot! (4) Atmosphere - it's small, but you can sit down and relax! You can tell they care about their restaurant and its success - they were super polite and helpful. All in all! Great pizza joint. I think the crust was a bit flat, because it had been there for a minute. Will definitely be back when we come through! Oh! For those health conscious - they had LOTS of healthy options, not just all bread.... Side of broccoli, soup of the day, TONS of salads. Great job y'all! You get a 5 due to everything else than the pizza. Pizza would be a 4.5.

Prices are a little up there but overall it's worth it to some degree. I've gotten pizza here a few…read moretimes and it's pretty good. I recommend and would go back.

One excellent pizza, one above-average pizza, two awful pizzas. Seems like the cheapest pizza…read morearound but when you consider the size and the paper-thin crust, there's not much of a deal here. The round white pizza has the best ratio of dough to cheese that any of my family had ever encountered in NEPA. Including Old Forge mainstays. A lot of other places use so much cheese that the end product is kind of grotesque. Nardozzi's is a five-star specialty however you slice it. It's almost like they started with a quesadilla and decided to make an Italian version of it. A must-try. The next is Peggy's Tomato Pie which is like a grandma's pizza, coal-miner's pizza, whatever you want to call it. It's just sauce on crust with very little cheese sprinkled. I like their sauce here and it works well with the thin crust. For ten bucks--sure! Quality drops off dramatically from there. The "chicken pizza" description claimed it contained their baked wing bites sliced onto the pizza. In actuality, it was awful-quality frozen breaded chicken cut into little chunks and splattered onto thin crust with an offensive amount of wing sauce. Just embarrassing, couldn't eat more than a piece of it. The 14" large pizza with sausage and peppers was also bad. Peppers were obviously many days past their prime and the sausage was tasteless. It was absolutely the least flavorful sausage and pepper pizza I've ever had. Again, couldn't eat more than a piece of it. For anything classic red, the thin crust doesn't really do it any favors. In conclusion, yeah, it's definitely a full-service pizzeria but they're cutting way too many corners, mainly on toppings, to be worth a return order.

Southern Indian is and was hard to come by so it was a no brainer to order from here. Ordered aloo tikki chaat, idli vada combo, karampodi masala dosa, paneer 555, bullet naan, and karampodi chicken. Ordered everything spicy. Nothing needed extra salt. The idli and vada were terrific, enough salt for flavor enhancement, tender inside, crispy outside. The sambar went nicely with both; felt like a soup almost. Both karampodi dishes were a little over seasoned, had to scrape some off, but the smell and taste was wonderful. Very unique type of chili blend, never seen it ever. The bullet naan was a little bit of a let down, didn't feel like typical naan, was a bit crunchier and flatter than normal naan. But, the taste was great also. I've never had paneer before but figured might as well try, since this "555" sauce is something I've never had. To me, it has the mouth feel of tofu on the outside, but a nice firm but tender chew. The chili sauce is pretty spicy but quite tasty. Lastly, the aloo tikki chaat eats like curried mashed potatoes because it's take out, but I like the format. The chaat masala topping breaks up the mashed potato texture and adds crunch. Overall, only negative is I didn't order rice, should have. I'm a fan of spicy food but with all this food it's a bit too spicy to eat without a starch. Definitely will order again.
