I ordered pizza to be delivered to my hotel room from this location. I told the guy to put $10 on for delivery and when he arrived he charged me $15. I told the deliver driver that was not correct so he told me he was going to get me $5 so I would sign the credit card receipt. I'm the meantime, the store called me and told me I told them $15 and they would prove it via their recording. I told them to play the recording so we can better understand what I said and make it right. He didn't have the recording and argued with me. Then he sent the driver back to the hotel to take pictures of our family in the pool area, underage kids on the pool were having their picture taken by a delivery driver. STAY AWAY!!!! I ordered a large plain cheese and one with special ingredients. I was really disappointed. It was too sweet, too small, and didn't have enough cheese in general. Will not be ordering again as we have already had much better pizza in the area. Also, cost came to almost $40 for 2 pies with Delivery (less than a mile away).. so not worth it. read more

Tried this place because I just moved to the area. Ever since I moved to PA from NY 17 years ago I have been on a journey to find a good pizza place (NY) style. I have come to the conclusion that New York is the only place to get what I consider good Pizza. The sign out front reads NY style pizza, not even close. Don't get me wrong the pizza here was fine but not NY Pizza. The closest thing I have found even close to NY Pizza is Basilicas in Dixon City and even they are inconsistent ( some days the pizza is awesome and puts me right back in NYC, other days not that great). The food was made within 20 minutes, and the staff have lovely accents + were very personable. We tried the papaya Italian ice, baklava, and a cheese calzone, all were a 10/10. Overall, this place was welcoming, followed corona guidelines, and even sells imported coffee (if you ask.) read more

This places food I have no idea. What I do know is anyone that would deny a 4 year old the right to use the bathroom doesn't deserve my business. They said I had to buy something in order for my child to use the bathroom. What kind of inhumane people run this place? What did the want my child to pee himself there in the restaraunt? I understand bathrooms are for customers only but when it comes to a child, it's a no brainier. We pulled over because it was an emergency. I bought a Gatorade and let my son use the bathroom. No thanks to the dimwit working the register. For that I will never order from here and anyone with kids should understand this 1.0 star rating I've never actually eaten here, but I entered with my four year old son whom had to pee and was denied service for a four year old!!!! This was my first time in this restaurant with my family. It was really good I'm happy with my meal the owner I assume was very nice and very welcoming. He read out the whole menu to us and made us exactly what we ordered and made the food really good and fresh. We ordered Canolis and they were made fresh and amazing. This place is really great- don't be scared be the 'veggie' in the name, it doesn't disappoint! I'm a big fan of the sesame crust and I love the golden California. I moved to Avoca 2yrs ago and have been looking for a good slice of pie that isn't Old Forge style (no offense) to those who like that type but it's just not for me. I've tried numerous places that say they have NY style pizza and not one reminded me of NY!! Not gonna name names but I'm talking at least 10 different spots. I found Nina's about a month ago and was surprisingly shocked that this little red building on the corner that I've driven by a million times has THE BEST PIZZA in Scranton!!! You might be asking yourself what are my qualifications to say such a bold statement? I made pizza for 13yrs 7days a week in West By God Virginia where they have no clue what NY pizza is unless they actually been to NY. Three Egyptian fellas who learned how to make pizza in the Bronx/ Brooklyn/ and Miami opened up a place in the little town of Beckley, WV and are making a killing still to this day! I know pizza!!! I ordered another pie yesterday picked up after work went home and took a bite and immediately called the owner and told him that his pizza in my opinion is the best pizza I've had in Scranton. So far. The price is reasonable and the ingredients are fresh. I don't eat the crust off of pizza but I ate his. It might even be Top 5 in all the pizza I've ate. Def better than the one I use to make and my pizza was on point! Plus the owner and his lovely wife were very friendly and he will give a good conversation if u hav the time.
