Nice Casino, is not too crowded on weekdays. I honestly prefer this one over the Hardrock. I have luck at this casino, it's very nice and spacious. I Always have a good time here!

Located a hop, skip, and jump north of the Hard Rock Stadium, this is definitely more of a locals casino. The positives are that it is non smoking (they do have a smoking section outside but you never have to encounter it if you don't want to), staff is super friendly, free fountain drinks, the cafe has some decent food, and the paybacks are pretty good. The cons are the machine hogs playing multiple games at the same time, those blocking off games and turning chairs with change in the machine for hours so others can't play, and the messy folks that leave food or trash on or near the machines/chairs. The occasionally have Bingo, check their website for a calendar of events. There is also a restaurant there but it doesn't seem to be open on any consistent basis.

For me, this is the perfect casino. Here's why: it's not fancy, it's not big, it's not crowded, drinks are cheap, and they have video table games. I love playing roulette, poker, and blackjack, but real table games intimidate me. I was able to get my video gamblin' in to my heart's content here. Heck, I even won some $ Additional casino info: 2 casual restaurants, small live poker table area, free soft drinks, clean bathrooms, lots of slot machines, and it's a non-smoking casino with an outdoor smoking/gaming area.

Very clean, smokeless casino with ample parking. Variety of games, not very crowded, large bar, drink stations and a few waitresses that come around, I just don't have any luck here and you don't here too many other people as well. A lot of small wins but nothing very big. Nice for a quiet casino outing with ample parking but no big wins at least not for me

The casino is near to the Football stadium. While entering there in the property, there is plenty of parking. Entered in the north entrance and noticed the area looks and feels clean. There was also no terrible cigarette smells which is normally associated with casinos. I went to the player's club to sign up as a new member to get my $50 free play credits. However after signing up as a new member the $50 free play credit is not applied in one go. I will have to spin the digital wheel 3 times each on a different day within 30 days of each other. What ever it lands is what I will get for the credit. Going have to wait nearly 60 days to get the full 50 dollars of free play credit.

I actually want to give Calder a three and a half star rating. I will start off with the more negative things I find about Calder. The parking is difficult. They really do not have much parking in the main area and I always have to park far away. I really don't mind this unless it is raining. It seems like no matter what time of day I go there it is busy, which I guess is good for them. I also think their variety of game denominations is limited. It seems like the majority of the machines are penny slots now. I am not a fan of those and it is harder and harder to find quarter machines. Onto the good stuff. The staff is pretty friendly at Calder. I had some great laughs with the fun people at the Players Club yesterday. They were super friendly and cheerful. I like that you can get a free soft drink at the machine. They actually have two drink machines, one on each side of the casino. It is nice to enjoy a cold drink, especially on a hot day like it usually is down here. I also like that they have live music on the weekends. It seems like all ages come here and it can be a fun environment on the weekends. I also like that they have contests where you can win free play because I've been lucky enough to win that a few times. It is always a fun day when I get to stop by Calder Casino.

Not my first time here but brought my mom for the first time to celebrate her birthday to see if she could win some money. When you refer someone new they give you a buffet and a $10.00 free spin. The only machine you cant bet on is the black jack machine. You have to use the full $10.00 before you can cash out. My mom also got a 25 % discount at Luckys which is the cafe in the casino. She also received a 50% discount for drinks at the bar. We bout French fries and garlic potatoes which taste really good I must say. We had some drinks so needed some starch. My mom had a good time we didnt win much but still it was nice. We didn't try the buffet because it was closed. The hostess in the front was friendly and the staff at Luckys. They decorated for Christmas which was very festive and nice.

It was quick and efficient with buses coming one after another and their own designated traffic lane. The view from level 3 was still so clear and easy to see the players, finding our way to our section was easy with all the signage and staff around to guide you, and getting into and out of the stadium was somehow very smooth and efficient despite the nearly 70k people. Water bottles were $6 and a beer was $20, crazy prices but expected for an event like this. The stadium and staff can definitely handle a large scale event like the World Cup. The hardest part was the traffic after the event which is expected with that many people in one area. Overall had a blast!

We were staying in Aventura and we took the free shuttle from the Brightline Station to the stadium parking lot which took about 30 minutes + a long hike to the stadium. There are houses in the area offering parking in their drive way for $40 if you had a car. Ride shares don't drop you off/ pick you up at the stadium. They had 3 drop off locations which are nowhere near the stadium, They weren't giving free water to spectators like they did in Boston. Miami is hotter and more humid than Boston. The staff are less friendly. We were here for the Norway vs England quarter final match. There were fans who didn't pay for category 1 tickets but had the audacity to sit in the 100 sections! Nobody was checking tickets. There's a lot of food options at each section. There are no restaurants right outside the stadium. The stadium is also open and no shade from the sun unless you're in the nosebleed section. Around the stadium is the fan zone. We got our free souvenirs: bracelets from Bank of America, Coke cups from the Coke stands, and cups from Michelob. There was a super long line for the big FIFA store. Some people grabbed 5-10 match scarves so there was none left for everyone else. Entertainment included Ellie Goulding but the audio wasn't working properly so you couldn't hear her. Steve Aoki performed at halftime for 64,478 fans.

Fitting that it's next to the football stadium, it's also sports themed, and it's the cheesiest sports theme you could imagine. I can't explain it, you'll just need to look at pictures or see for yourself and you'll understand. I do appreciate all the Miami Heat regala found throughout, though. Maybe the weirdest part of this hotel is the breakfast situation. The breakfast room is on the top floor, which looks like a super old Victorian hotel that completely clashes with the rest of the theme. There was no protein offered. So, you got yogurt, pancakes, coffee or toast. No eggs, bacon, sausage or anything like that. It was really bizarre. At least the view was cool being the topmost floor, but don't count on having a great morning meal there. I found that there were other odd things with this hotel. I can't tell if this was an old hotel that was taken over and they "redecorated" or if it's a new hotel where they couldn't quite decide between really making it nice or cutting costs with the decorations and furniture and stuff. Because everything seemed to be odds and ends that didn't really match, which is why it's a weird attempt at a sports theme in summation. Overall I think the hotel is fairly nice. If you can get it for a cheaper price it's not in a terrible location either- Hollywood area so just 25ish minutes north of central Miami. And you can experience the weird vibes for yourself!

The price was reasonable, the food was great, and there was plenty to enjoy throughout the cruise. The buffet in particular was better than I expected and had a nice variety of options. We opted to eat at the steakhouse a few times, as well as the sushi restaurant. We were happy that these options were available. There were a few hiccups. Margaritaville now charges purchases to your account throughout the cruise instead of waiting until the last day, and we had some issues with making payments on the account. My girlfriend's suitcase was also damaged during the cruise, which was frustrating. We also had a period where the air conditioning in our room wasn't working properly, and the room became extremely hot. Despite those issues, they didn't ruin the overall experience. We had a good time celebrating, and for the price, I think it's a solid cruise option. If you're looking for a Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, or princess experience, this is not for you. It's an older ship but you can tell they've tried to make upgrades where possible. Give this ship a try! But go in knowing what it is and what it isn't!!! The Paradise is great for a cheap getaway. It's no frills but still nice for the price. They offer a lot of deals and specials for veterans, repeat customers, and casino players. The crew is amazing. Very hard working and friendly. Never saw anyone without a smile on their face. I booked a grand suite and it was very nice. Yes, it's showing its age but I'm more concerned about cleanliness. My cabin steward, Paul, did an excellent job. Loved the towel animals. It had a balcony but it's old so the wall is high. You can't see over the ledge if laying down on the sun lounger. It's a big balcony. My only complaint is it's not covered. I was out during the sail away party and the people in the pool deck were hanging their drinks over the railing. I was nervous someone could throw something and land on the me or the balcony. The suite has a separate living room and bedroom. Very nice size! The bathroom is big for a cruise ship - jacuzzi tub and stand up shower. The food isn't bad. I went to JWB Steakhouse one night. It's an extra fee to eat here. I don't think it's necessarily worth it but you get a lot of food. I ordered the ribeye. I like my steak rare and the meat cut is too thin to get it rare to my liking. The seasoning was good. You get an appetizer, soup or salad, entree, and dessert. The shrimp cocktail was good. I absolutely loved the onion soup. Steak was just ok. And I was too full for dessert. The buffet has a lot of good choices. I wish Cheeseburger in Paradise offered a turkey burger. Some things on the buffet are better than others. The reubens at the sandwich station are awesome. I got one with turkey and it was also delicious. Fins, the main dining room, is hit or miss for me. They post the nightly menus outside of the restaurant so you can pick and choose what nights you want to go by the choices. They don't switch up the menus so if you got often it's the same thing. The standouts for me were the hearts of palm appetizer and the curry shrimp entree. The mushroom rotini wasn't bad either. The sauce was thin. I thought the key lime sponge cake dessert was too sweet. Crazy sweet. Disembarkation was a cluster you know what as usual. Not a lot of direction - especially when people don't follow the order to get off! Suites are supposed to get priority after ADA but so many people clog the elevators and hallways. But you can technically be off the ship and in your car by 8:30/9 if all goes well. The casino has a decent variety of slots and tables. Free drinks while gambling but the servers tend to favor the tables. If you have the drink package, it's a quick walk to the bar to get your own. I had to do that several times. On each sailing, they have a veteran's ceremony. They recognize all the veterans on board and the cruise director speaks. It's very nice and one of the things that sets this ship apart from others. I know I'm missing stuff but my review is long enough!!!
