The ER doctor diagnosed pancreatitis and prescribed pain meds and discharge. I rejected that diagnosis and waited for Dr. Caldwell to arrive. He got to the hospital about a half hour later and had a different diagnosis, a heart attack. A heart cath revealed a 99% blockage in the LAD and I had a triple bypass the next day. He literally saved my life. I cannot recommend Dr. Caldwell highly enough.

Dr. Mack has assisted me in healing by prescribing supplements, food-as-medicine, lifestyle changes and, if appropriate, pharmaceuticals as well. I tried other doctors but they did not have the expertise to treat my health issues. Dr Mack spends a great deal of time with each patient and explains everything in detail. She has a great personality, is easy to talk to and very supportive. Admittedly, Dr. Mack's rates are high - but you really do get what you pay for - and good health is worth every cent. The front desk staff was nice and the MAs friendly. They apologized and thanked me when I mentioned that I found a 6 day old urine sample in the restroom. Dr. Glaser was not friendly towards me. My visit was to be a new patient physical. He did not engage or try to get to know me at all. My face to face time with him was less than 10 minutes, and the only thing memorable that he said was that my insurance might not pay for my updated tetanus shot (they did). I went downstairs to do lab work and was there for about 30 minutes when they finally realized that Dr. Glaser did not order lab work because I had done lab work 7 months prior. Fairly certain that lab work is part of a physical...but whatever. I had already made up my mind that this man would not be my new PCP. A PCP should be warm and engaging, and someone who will listen to their patients when they are concerned about something - Dr. Glaser checked none of these boxes. Fast forward a few weeks later to the billing nightmare that followed, my insurance covers an annual physical (including the lab work he wouldn't order) 100%...but the first bill was coded as a new patient appointment, but they left the physical off. So I had to call the office about this...they made my patient responsibility $0 in their system, but then rebilled my insurance company with duplicate charges and overbilled by almost triple. I decided to call BCBS directly since I had yet to find a competent individual to help me at the practice. The insurance rep told me that one of the codes used on the new bill was for a psychiatric evaluation...OMG! I explained the whole situation again, and BCBS filed a grievance and the billing did eventually get situated. I have talked to others who have noticed similar billing issues on their statements from this practice...so definitely watch your EOBs here. Unreported overbilling is sadly something that happens too often in the medical world. I have given up on ever seeing my 7+ years of medical records from my prior PCP. I am fairly certain they went into an abyss of some sort in this Bridlewood office of confusion.

But if you use the Healow app, the docs are pretty quick to respond plus your care needs are documented. I started using Bridlewood, Dr. Glaser and his staff because the last office I was at didn't listen to me. I'm diabetic and trying to find the right medication has been much trial and error but my last office brushed off my errors. So when I first started with Bridlewood, Michelle Hampton heard me and started me on my way to finding what worked. I was sad to lose Victoria Thomas but it was an easy transition back to Michelle and they really do care. I have trouble with getting medication but that's due to my insurance not the office. Michelle and her team have been in constant communication with me and are eager to help where they can. I've had nothing but a pleasant and stress free experience working with the Bridlewood staff. My one complaint would be that I never got an Amazon gift card!

Unfortunately, they got a new nurse practitioner and she's awful. I know of 2 other family members who were patients under Dan who won't be back either. Kara Willden is rude, combative, and has zero compassion or bedside manner. Loved the staff but don't care for her. Sad. Dan has retired and I don't doubt she is the reason why. She has quite the bully mentality. I requested a refill on one of my prescriptions that I desperately need for my sanity and she dropped the ball. I had to go in and get face to face to resolve the issue.

I was told by the hospital to…read morefollow up with my PCP but he moved recently and is too far for me to continue seeing him so they recommended I try and follow up with any Texas Health provider since it was all the same system and they could easily access my files. I found Dr Olivier through my insurance. I went to her website and marked that I had not been seen in that practice in the past 3 years then I selected the option for a new patient hospitalization follow up and proceeded to make myself an appointment. I received a text confirming my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I found (and paid) a babysitter to watch my son to make the appointment smoother. When I showed up, the lady at the front told me I had no appointment. I kept insisting I did (she didn't even seem interested in trying to verify anything and I had to reiterate about 3 times that I had one), so she finally asked my phone number to look it up. After giving my phone number, she told me they cancelled my appointment because they are not accepting new patients. I told her I selected new patient hospitalization follow up and she told me it didn't matter because they were not accepting new patients. I then asked why they didn't bother to let me know they cancelled my appointment, and she told me they sent me a text message. I asked what day they text and she said July 18. I checked ALL my texts and the only one I got from them that day was the one CONFIRMING my appointment. I tried to show her the text and she wouldn't even look at my phone. I asked why they text instead of calling to let them know and in a very condescending and rude tone, she said "that's just how we do things". I understand if you're not taking new patients. But if you're not, then why was I able to make a "new patient hospitalization follow up" appointment? And if it's a mistake, why are you just going to text someone saying an appointment was cancelled because they can't accept you? And then when they never got the text, why be condescending and rude instead of apologizing and trying to be helpful?! She was just so dismissive and made me feel like it was just my problem and I was the one who messed up. And for reference, I attached the text message I received. Dr Olivier might be a good doctor, I don't know. But her staff could definitely learn some kindness and etiquette. I walked a couple suites down to suite 125, which is another Texas Health PCP and the ladies there were so much more helpful and kind.

Dr. Kruger is a great doctor, but the staff can be a problem, especially if you have to call the…read moreoffice about anything. First, you listen to the introductory robot. Then you listen to the menu. Then you make a selection and listen to music. Then the robot comes back on and says "Your call is important to us. Please stay on the line." Finally, someone answers the phone. You tell that person you want to talk to the nurse. Then you are put on hold for 5 to 10 minutes. The nurse comes to the phone and has to look through some paperwork. She puts you on hold and says she will be back "in a sec." You are on hold for 5 to 10 minutes. Then you are mysteriously cut off. Then you call back and start the process all over again. You are told that the nurse will call you back. You wait 6 hours and call AGAIN. If you need to talk to the doctor, a nurse calls you at the end of the day.
