Do NOT use Calfo Home Services! We have been loyal customers, spending thousands of dollars with this company, but their recent actions have been unacceptable and dangerous. We called them to address a gas leak, and their technician assured us that spending $2,200 would not only fix the leak but also extend the life of our furnace by two years. After the work was completed, the gas leak persisted. When we informed them, they refused to fix the issue unless we paid even more money. This is completely unacceptable, as their technician failed to resolve the problem they were hired to fix. I am currently pregnant and have a 10-month-old baby at home. This is not just an inconvenience--it's a serious safety hazard. Breathing in gas fumes puts my entire family at risk, and Calfo Home Services refuses to take responsibility for their mistake. We will never use this company again. Beyond losing our business for our home, we also own multiple rental properties where we would have used their services regularly. On top of that, my mother-in-law, who we referred to Calfo, was planning to replace her furnace and air conditioning with them this spring. Now, she will also be taking her business elsewhere and sharing this negative experience. It's a shame to see a company we once trusted care so little about their customers' safety and satisfaction. Their unwillingness to correct their mistake is a very poor business decision, and it's cost them thousands of dollars in future business. Our AC stopped working a few days ago, at the end of July. I met Tim a couple of times and decided to put his company to the test on my 21 year old relic AC unit. For starters, I wasn't sure if I was going to be home for a few days so made the appointment accordingly. As it turned out, I wound up being home the next day and called them back to let them know. To my surprise, Dylan called me and said he could come out that morning. He explained everything he was doing and showed me what went wrong and why he thought it failed. He was very professional and answered all of my questions in a non-hvac language that I could understand. I signed up for a seasonal cleaning/maint contract for my furnace/AC and Dylan needed to come inside the house to collect the serial numbers of the units. He laid a carpet on my porch and had the booties over his shoes. Within the hour, I was able to shut all of my windows and once again enjoy some cold AC. When Dylan placed the Calfo decal on my furnace, I asked him to cover up the former hvac company's decal as I wouldn't need them anymore. I am very disappointed in my experience with Calfo in regards to the fees and lack of follow through. I called them to repair our Air-con and they charged me $300 to recharge our system, compared to $225 -$250 from other places for the same service. Additionally, they did not apply the $50 coupon they advertised on their website, so I called two hours after the service to correct this billing error. The manager/owner Tim told me he'd get back to me but did not do so. I called again (twice) figuring he got busy and forgot, but still 10 days later, not resolved. I astly, I had asked the repairman Justin for a quote for a new system, because he had told me it was possible the system would not hold the charge. He was to call and give me a quote for a new system, but I never received that either! LOL. As it turns out, I definitely need a new system because after using the whole house air conditioner a couple of hot nights, it is no longer cooling, Had they followed through and took care of business, they'd be getting a sale. I had them come out for a regular maintenance tune-up /check-up. They very promptly answered the phone and had plenty of flexibility in their schedule. Later, I called to re-schedule to an earlier date, and luckily they were able to! Also, they were able to quickly pull up my account information just from my phone number, so it was very fast. Before the appointment, I got a text message including a photo of the technician who would be coming, which was a nice touch! He actually called to say he could come a bit earlier, which worked well for me! The technician did the check-up quickly, and addressed any concerns I had. He wore plastic footies over his boots to keep from tracking dust in the house. He offered for me to join their annual maintenance plan, but in no way was pushy about it and was realistic about how new my system was and that it probably wasn't necessary. I wasn't up-sold on the check-up or encouraged to do any unnecessary repairs. Overall, I'm happy with them and would absolutely consider calling them if/when I ever have an actual problem with my HVAC. read more

We were having issues with the air conditioner not cooling down the entire house which made it miserable on the days where it's been 90+ degrees outside. We reached out to a different company weeks ago that never responded and then came across Calfo who responded immediately and had somebody come to the house to check out the ac unit within the same week. We received an email prior to the scheduled date letting us know when they'd arrive and with the name and picture of the technician coming, which was important to us to know prior to but have never experienced that before. The technician called before he was coming to let us know he was on his way. When Ed came to the door, he was very prompt, kind and seemed knowledgeable about the ac unit. He didn't pressure us into getting any extra services and said he could fix what was needed and leave but we could call him if we have anymore issues. We needed a new furnace and after collecting a number of bids, Calfo provided both the lowest bid and explained the process of installing the furnace and all that needed to occur the best. Justin was very helpful and communicated everything very clearly to someone who hadn't gone through the process of having a new furnace installed. Although they haven't come back yet, the service agreement they provide (3 years, coming back twice a year to check on things) is also much appreciated. Had a clogged pipe in the basement, leaking water & sewage for 3 weeks. Originally contacted Gillece services, they sent someone out they gave an estimate and said they would be back to fix it. They never came back, even though they kept saying tomorrow & we called everyday. I contacted Calfo services on monday afternoon and they sent someone tuesday morning, unclogged the pipe, fixed the problem. I recommend them!! He fixed my clog in my garage drain that was overflowing, cleaned up the area, set me up with a recording of the pipes after they were cleaned out and charged me more than a fair price. I had a bad sewage clog that a couple other contractors tried to price gouge me for. I called up calfo and they were able to clear the clog very quickly and reasonably priced.
