When I contacted the shop they said if I could bring the car in they would replace the seal but would not cover work done in Washington. We are not going to drive 2,500 miles to and back from the shop to have a seal replaced. The man at the shop said it was of no benefit to him to pay for repair since we did not live in Vista and were not local customers. So I cleaned the mass airflow sensor, and the code went away, but the symptoms (struggling to idle) were still there. So I took it to A Better Auto Repair because it's not far from where I live and told them what had been going on. They called me back a day after I had dropped my car off, and they said there were no issues and that the car did not struggle to idle and they asked me to pick it up. So I went and picked up my car, but this time the idle issue was still there, and now my car has rod knock. I have babied my car, and there would be basically no reason for this to happen, but then I take my car here, and this new issue (along with the old issue that they said went away, even though it didn't) appears out of thin air, and they deny it all. Unacceptable. I'm now going to have to pay upwards of $10,000 for a complete engine replacement somewhere else. AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad quoted me for a complete swap at $13,000. I wish I were joking, but I am not. My entire family and I will never go there again. 0 Stars.
