Chris is the man! He's an excellent mechanic and always has fair rates. He's the only mechanic me and my family goes to.

Apparently they also fix/diagnose hybrid cars here!…read more My prius prime had a warning that "hybrid system malfunctioned" so I was stuck struggling to operate the vehicle for 2 days... The morning of the visit, lo and behold, the error code went away, took it to this shop anyways to see if they can find anything, nothing showed up on the OB2 scanner... They didn't charge me and just told me to monitor and come back if there's any issues, 10/10 for honest people!

I'm leaving this review specifically because of my experience with the owner, David…read more I had contacted this shop before and had also personally visited the location to ask whether they could help with electrical work on a Tesla. During my previous visit, one of David's colleagues was actually very nice and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with David himself was completely different. I called again today because I had contacted them about a week ago regarding a job and simply wanted to confirm whether they could still do the work. David answered the phone, and from the beginning, his tone was already unfriendly even though nothing had happened between us. Before even asking what vehicle I had, what work I needed, or any other context, the first thing he told me was, "We moved to Anaheim." I was confused and asked what he meant because it immediately sounded like he was trying to dismiss me without even hearing why I was calling. The conversation quickly became hostile. When I asked him whether this was really the proper way to treat a customer, his response was essentially, "You're not a customer." For context, I am also the owner of an auto body shop, so I understand that businesses have the right to refuse work, decline certain jobs, or tell someone they are too busy. That is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is treating someone disrespectfully simply because they called to ask about a job. The conversation escalated to the point where David yelled, used the words "fuck you," and hung up the phone. I'm sharing this experience because people who are considering doing business with this shop should know how the owner may communicate with someone when he does not want their business. You can refuse a job professionally. You can say you are unavailable, too busy, or simply not interested. There is absolutely no reason to speak to someone this way. As another business owner, this interaction was also a reminder to me of exactly how I never want to treat anyone who contacts my own business. Whether someone ultimately becomes a customer or not, basic professionalism and respect should still matter. My experience with David was extremely disappointing, and I would strongly recommend that anyone dealing with him pay close attention to how they are treated before deciding to do business here.

Brought in my 2017 Kia Niro with 97k miles for a paid inspection with the idea that if there were…read moreany issues covered under Kia's 100k powertrain and hybrid warranties I could bring in a 3rd party to advocate for me with the dealer. Or if there were major issues to expect down the road, I could look into getting a new car instead of fixing this one. Ethan V. greeted me on his lunch break but made sure to listen to why I was there and gave me an idea of how long the wait would be and what to expect. Fortunately the car had a nearly clean bill of health. That is to be expected because I kept up with regular maintenance on the car. But they did recommend a few items to address to extend the useful life of the car: (1) Control Arms and Bushings had moderate wear, (2) my second set of tires had 3mm of tread, (3) the cabin air filter was a little worse for wear. My main concern, and why I brought it to this shop, was for hybrid red flags like battery issues. As Ethan explained to me, without taking apart the hybrid battery, it would not be possible to give a comprehensive health check for it. But since there were no error codes that came up that would indicate a problem with the hybrid system, the battery was still in good condition. He mentioned an anecdote of other Niros he's seen that that had 200k with the original battery to allay my concerns. He mentioned that I should also consider replacing the spark plugs probably due the mileage of the car. After giving me an estimate on what the cost would be if I decided to have them work on the issues, he said he could apply the paid inspection cost on the work if I decided to proceed in the next 30 days. Overall I had a great first visit with Electron and would consider returning if I decide to move forward with the recommended upkeep repairs.

Cesar was…read morefriendly, sodas were a nice touch, and he asked for a positive Yelp review on the spot, which I gave. A year later, walking it back. Invoice never confirmed the oil change. Cesar said they skipped the rotation because my car "didn't need it" but tires should be rotated every 5k and I was due. My car still had OEM tires with wheel locks, and the dealership had neglected to give me the key to remove the tires, which I didn't know at the time. Bad on the dealer, bad on Electron, they almost certainly noticed and could've flagged it instead of the brush-off. Months later I had a blowout and couldn't change the tire because of that missing key. Would've saved me from being stranded. Friendly staff, mystery oil change, phantom rotation.
