I took a chance on this spot during my lunch break after Chick-fil-A was looking way too busy. Meanwhile I was the only patron at the time. I definitely felt like a VIP. Staff were friendly and I waited less than 10 minutes for my order to be ready. My only complaint is that I didn't get enough signature sauce to dip my fries in. Feel bad for them. They just don't know how to cook, or serve, or keep any of their orders straight. Don't expect to receive what you ordered. You might get something nicer, or something worse, maybe more food or less food, but it will be random because they can't keep their orders straight and will just give you whatever they have ready, even if its someone else's order. They don't give a damn. Let them know about the mistake? Holy moly, they get really pissed if you return with the food and your receipt and try to explain that they gave you somebody else's order. I got somebody else's chicken tenders, two orders of chicken tenders (I ordered a Baja hot dog) and it only had 2 very small pieces of chicken in each, about 1.5" and 3.5" long. I've never seen anything this small, dry and burnt, and almost no fries. They don't want to hear it, its just normal for them, its what they do, they expect you to accept whatever random food you get. I do feel bad for this staff and ownership. Good luck if you eat there, you've been warned. I was going to the Pasadena location and it went out of business before it really even got started. Then when I came to Tamp for a 6 mo stint, I tried this location three times and was given the wrong order all three times. I don't think there will be a forth time for me. read more

Service was great! Location is convenient! I must have ordered the wrong things I got the loaded fries, Arepa burger and the mixta burger. They all had a cheese sauce that was rubbery and flavorless. Most of these people that made these reviews most not have tried real Colombian food. We went to a few different Colombian food trucks while in vacation in Tampa. This is amazing we came back multiple times and the staff was friendly and the flavor was spectacular. If you're looking for authentic true Cali food come to this spot. My wife is from Colombia and said the hotdog and aprepas tasted like home. The music and atmosphere makes me feel like I'm back in Cali with family n friends. They need to name this Awful Burger. Horrible food, uncooked they messed up the order 2x, the food is not good. This place needs to be shut as they don't follow food safety protocol especially due to times where in. I witness the food go out a person open it, sneeze and then they complained it wasn't right. So then they receive the burger and they proceed to put it in another styrofoam container, and give it to someone. I tell who got it what happened and they went to complain and the lady got mad at me who works there starts talking In Spanish. Starts cussing at me. The old guy who is cooking take the container and puts it left of his grill. Lord knows why. Probably to reserve it. I couldn't believe my eyes! I don't know why they have 3 stars , I almost didn't go because if that , but decided to give it a chance and I loved it . We got a carne asada and arepa burger and both came out really good , they are busy food truck , they only need to smile a little more and be a little more friendly but I get they were very busy getting food ready . I'm a huge fan of anything small or especially off the beaten path. Cali Burger is a small Colombian food stand off the main road. The selection is small but you can get arepas, empanadas, Salchipapas and more comfort food. The wait till for food was a bit much but there was only one lady in there cranking everything out for everyone so it was expected. I tried beef and chicken empanadas and a loaded arepa. I really liked the beef empanadas but not so much the chicken. They were vastly different in every way, even the shell. The arepas were extremely good, mine was loaded with chicken and beef. All in all, I think for a small food stand it's not bad. Just come with some patience. read more

Stopped by here on Saturday. It's a Colombian street food truck. We ordered salchipapas with chicharrones. The order comes smoothered in ketchup, mayo, and cheese. I think it would be better to have the sauces on the side then drenching the fries, but it still wasn't half bad. I liked it better than La Perrada on Armenia. It's definitely munchies kinda food that you might enjoy after a night of drinking and was the right move after Gasparilla. The french fries themselves just okay. The cost of the food was a little pricey for what it was. Colombian food is pretty common around this area of Tampa, so I'd probably expect more if I lived nearby. My favorite spot for Colombian fast food in Tampa is still Pepito's on Water Ave. I would probably want to try the burger in the future if I went back. read more

Ordered through UberEats - I was craving a burger, so i went with that (despite the many less-American options on the menu). The cheeseburger blew me away - very flavorful, great veggie to meat to condiment ratio, and i'm not sure what sauce and cheese they use, but it's very untraditional and pretty terrific. Also, i'm not sure where that comes from, but there was some crunch to the burger, which definitely adds something to every bite. The fries were also very crispy and hearty. The one star i'm taking off is for the empanadas. I got one chicken and one beef empanada, and they were pretty bland, really nothing to write home about (and definitely less than desired when coming from a latin american place). Not impressed. Came here only because they advertise that they sell cholados, do they? Absolutely not. So because I drove all the way to the food truck I decided to order food. I ordered the supreme arepa, first of all it isn't even a real arepa. It tasted like they made the arepa with bisquick. So when I went to eat it, it completely fell apart.
