Food truck now on Armenia, just south of Hillsborough Ave.

This food truck is located on Armenia Avenue, just south of Hillsborough Avenue, where my favorite Mexican food truck used to be located. I was surprised when I pulled in the parking lot to see this truck here, but I decided to give them a try. #1 tip - ORDER AHEAD. Food really does take forever - my bacon wrapped chicken took about 25 minutes. And while it was good, it was a pretty small portion when compared to the cost. I was expecting a chicken breast or two wrapped with bacon, and what I got was similar to six grilled chicken nuggets wrapped with bacon. I would definitely get something different if I return. I did like both the yuca fries and the tostones I had as my two sides. The other thing I'm not a fan of is when you pay by credit card, the next screen that pops up is to tip them 15% and up. The only other option is "other amount", which takes you to the next screen to fill in what tip you want. I always tip in cash when I order at food trucks, and I think it's incredibly rude to essentially make it mandatory for you to tip them if you pay by credit card. Since they are located in a parking lot, there is plenty of parking. A few umbrella-covered picnic tables are in front of the truck if you want to eat there. Overall it was an okay meal, but I'm in no rush to return.

We were looking for something a little less formal but more bang for our buck. The garlic rice was delicious. My bf got the Tostones Gauchos Picanha and devoured it. I got the Brazilian Sandwich with chorizo sausage. It was very very good. The bread is just *chefs kiss*. They do offer some bottled and canned drinks. Presentation was great. The woman at the window explained everything to us. I did bring home some leftovers but it's definitely worth the stop.

It is about 4.5 stars for the food. You need to be patient because they need time to cook your order. Grilled meat need time to complete perfectly. If you don't want to wait, you can order ahead of time for pick up when you arrive. The wait is 20 minutes. We have the Tostones Gauchos with picanha. The tostone has to with cheese, salsa with fry berries. The picanha was grilled perfectly with the order. The seasoning is there. Tostone are very crisply fried. We also got the half pound combo with two sides. The protein we have selected is the Lomo de Cerdo. The pork was grilled correctly. Love it. The two side includes cord and garlic rice. The garlic rice was well prepared with garlic fragrance. Our experience here is perfect. Definitely recommend to revisit. Next time we want to try their Churrasco and other side.

AY PAPI! This is a small Brazilian food truck that is parked next to a PJ Liquors (one story blue-green store on the northbound side of Dale Mabry near Humphrey street) There is parking shared with the liquor store but I parked between the liquor store and the red building. They take credit card/debit card. (It does not state this on the website) I got the mixed grill , which consisted of 1 lb of chicken, chorizo, churrasco (flap), and picanha (Top sirloin).it also came with one side-. I picked mashed potatoes. Mashed Potato- Actually homemade and not some instant packet stuff that is overly smooth. There is butter, garlic and chunks of real potato in there As a gringo, It is nice to see MP in a meat centric place. 4/5 The meat was were super juicy and flavorful. I wish there was a little more, but the quality was there. Yes there is a little oil in the box (Title of your sex tape) but ill take that over the food being overly dry. They ask you the level of "doneness" before cooking. Of the various meats, the picanha was my favorite. 5/5 Since this is a food truck , there are just 4 picnic style tables. It was rainy so I took it home. If you like meat, this trumps some sit-down places here and is worth your time. GO GO GO!

Call ahead and be ready for some of the tastiest lamb chops from a food truck u ever had ! Tostones with shrimp and cranberry along with yuca fries is my go to here . Husband - give him the meat! Sausage beef . Parking is tight along Dale Mabry cause they share a lot with the liquor store. Outdoor seating with umbrellas and friendly staff .

Would you believe that I was changed $17.99 for this!??

I have been passing this place for a while. I decided to stop in. I was sooo disappointed. I paid $17.99 plus tax for a mediocre dinner. I work hard for my F'N money and was highly passed TF off when I got home and opened my box. This place is a prime example of why I choose not to eat out. Overly priced, subpar food. On a positive note the flavor of My "lamb bones" was quite delicious.

This food truck is unique in that it aims to give you the taste experience of a Brazilian steakhouse. Someone recommended that I try this spot out so I went for it. The food and the customer service were both ok. I've been to a Brazilian steakhouse in Brazil and to a couple locally so I compare those experiences to this one. At those other spots the food was better and so was the customer service, but they were also much pricier so as the adage goes, "you get what you pay for". With that being said, this place isn't the cheapest, but you pay may $20-$25 (for lamb chops meal and drink) total vs. $50+ for an experience at a Brazilian steakhouse. I ordered the lamb chops and 2 sides for around $17.99. The lamb chops themselves were pretty tasty. They were cooked to order and cooked as I requested. I loved the way they seasoned the meat. The mashed potatoes we ok. They aren't something I would order again. The garlic rice was good. They were lacking in costumer service. To me it felt like one of those spots where they already expect you to know wat you want when you arrive. i had to ask a couple of questions and the original person could not answer the questions (maybe because of a language barrier), but the cook came to the front to answer my question of how to order (it being my firs time) and he seemed sort of annoyed. Bottom line...would I recommend this food truck experience? I would say go with the expectation that the meats are tasty, but everything else is just ok. I would go back again for the lamb chops because I'm not going to find a spot where I can get tasty lamb chops on the go.

I ordered the Signature Cut Special while my husband ordered from the regular menu. When the bill arrived, I politely pointed out that I had been charged incorrectly. Instead of simply checking the order, our server, Talis, told me that other meat carvers had supposedly seen me eating the regular menu item and implied that I was being dishonest. I was shocked. Being publicly accused of lying over a dinner order is completely unacceptable. I repeatedly explained that I had ordered the Signature Cut Special, yet the argument continued until I firmly stood my ground. Only then did he back off. We brought the situation to management's attention. While Manager Paulo has always been professional, courteous, and customer-focused, our interaction with Manager Michael left much to be desired. Rather than immediately addressing the seriousness of a customer being falsely accused, the situation was handled in a way that felt dismissive and unprofessional. The issue was never about the money. It was about respect. Long-time customers should not be treated as though they are trying to deceive staff over a menu item. What should have been an enjoyable evening turned into an embarrassing and frustrating experience. Sadly, this was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had here, and it has made us seriously reconsider this establishment.

I have no idea how they "get away" with charging such prices for their beef, chicken, lamb served with "sticky rice" (by the way on my trips to Brazil, I do not recall EVER getting lousy sticky rice - normally it is a Jasmine variety that is delicious and never sticky!) Also Black beans and a small assortment of side sauces that were decent. Oh and very soft Pao de Queso... one of my all time favorites, very much UNDERCOOKED - but I still liked it, due to the difference in cooking style. I have always had Pau de Queso well baked, with a hard crusty outer shell and a soft inner cheesy delightful center! Ani was the waitress, she is Cuban, while the remainder of the staff appears to be Brazilian, not sure, did not have the opportunity to ask. Ani worked her butt off, while the 4 others stood around watching. I hated that I had the sense of prejudice, maybe my "American" sensitivities were set off? I am a conservative, usually not looking for such BS, but this just seemed to be a bit obvious. Albeit the initial amount of people dining was 5 tables with an average of 4... she was able to do her job, but at the sacrifice of timely service to tables. The "ambiance" is fine, nothing truly distinguishes this as a Brazilian restaurant; I have been to Brazil 6 times, there restaurants do not really have anything distinguishable. Except the road side Churrasco - or those inside wayfaring gas stations... always loved those set ups! After sitting and being served for 1.5 hour, the people started to come in... and the place was full of families having a good meal! The other staff finally stepped up and did a good job! All of the staff were congenial, engaging and proactively serving, once the crowd showed up. Do I recommend this place? Yes, but only for an event where you seek a casual ambiance, decent food, pretty good service and you want a less expensive (albeit still expensive) alternative to the "high falooting" Brazilian Steakhouses like Rodizio or Texas de Brazil... those are off the charts!

My wife enjoyed the foie gras ($34) tremendously. I enjoyed the lobster bisque (+$11 from included French onion soup with steak) moderately. (had a non-traditional "spice" to it) My wife orders the 8oz filet mignon, and I ordered the 14oz Delmonico (a.k.a. ribeye). The filet was very good, and the Delmonico was good.
