The barista pointed to a large cup off to the side that was clearly not what I ordered. I politely said "that's not what I ordered" and continued to inform the barista of what my order had been. She just stood there and stared back at me clueless about what to do. The gal who initially took order came over and argued with me about what I ordered! I said "that's not what I ordered, you repeated it back to me when I ordered it...". Her response "well that's what I charged you for". I was dumbfounded, instead of just making me what I wanted they both argued with me and then admitted to charging me more for a beverage that I never wanted! I decided to turn and walk away. I don't need to waste my time arguing with teenagers who clearly have zero customer service training.

We have gone 3 times over the course of a couple weeks and have been a big fan every time. The owner & her partner are so nice and welcoming and you can really tell they put their heart into their business. The starlight was by far my favorite drink out of the three I've ordered. Now that they are inside the Chico State BSS building instead of their [adorable and iconic] renovated trailer, they have a lot more space, a full posted menu, and some more staff to assist. UPDATE: They are no longer closing for lunch - woohoo! My wish come true. (Original: My only "complaint" - not really a complaint, I totally respect it, just want to caution people - is that they close for lunch 11:30-12. I hope at some point they are able to take breaks in shifts and stay open. But that's just me being greedy because they're so awesome.) Local business with locally sourced coffee from Stoble. I've also seen posts where they cater events in their little trailer or post up at markets and such around town. Large 'cause I practically inhale that thing. * She's misheard me before and I've gotten strawberry matcha with oat milk which is good, but I've found oat milk version is just not the same without that froth. Totally worth it though if you can't or prefer not to have dairy. * I've also really liked the spring 2025 special tiramisu cold brew with some extra cold foam. We were greeted by wonderful service that answered all of our questions and even gave suggestions for things that we can enjoy for the day. My wife and I ended up taking both of their morning buns which were especially delicious. We picked up a couple of stickers and enjoyed a croissant along with our avocado toast. I love that my wife and I get to come to places like this where we can enjoy hot drinks, delicious food, and a peaceful place where we can just talk and reconnect. My only regret is that I did not leave with a bottle of Chico chai to bring home. The next time we visit, we will definitely be bringing back at the very least a gallon.
