This Starbucks is a good stop if you can't make it all the way to Red Bluff coming from the south on the 5 freeway. I wasn't gonna make it all the way home to Red Bluff without a restroom stop, and GPS said this was the best place to "go". OK, I needed some coffee too. Just exit off the freeway, turn right, turn right and then another right and go to the end of the cul de sac. Easy off and easy back on the freeway. Service was fine, as I go inside. It's a good place to check your email on the free WiFi. Coffee was the usual Pikes Peak, but they'll brew the med roast Blonde if you really want but you might have to wait for that. I hear the caffeine is higher. I'll have to remember Orland as a good coffee or whatever stop if needed the next time. read more

Ordered an Iced matcha with caramel drizzle thru the drive thru and a venti Mango refresher. Felt rushed taking my order but didn't think nothing of it. Once we got our drinks the iced matcha was very white and tasted only milk no matcha! They gave us a grande size for our refresher also. We went inside and asked the workers to remake our drink and the refresher as a venti. Took 20 minutes until I asked and the female worker said they were done and the drinks were on the counter. I frequent this location once a week, sometimes twice as I meet my daughter here for pick up. Not only do they NEVER get my order wrong, and it's always tasting soooooo good which it seems every other Starbucks up the I5 DOES seem to get it wrong, but the staff here is incredibly kind. Well has been three months plus since I left a review so time for an end of the year and a new one I've consistently gone to either the drive-through -and I have ordered ahead or in the lobby. Several people in my family have also commented that this particular Starbucks being the only choice locally could be a lot more friendly you say good morning or thank you half the time they don't respond or even look up there's always side conversations between staff and they seem to be more involved between each other and what happened the night before than engaging with the customers.! It's really strange because I've never encountered an unfriendly Starbucks, but hey this is it I'm hoping that a manager reads this and they bring this up in one of their meetings and it changes because it's pretty sad that this is my local place and I would never go work, or hang out there because of this, Purchased quite a few drinks yesterday half of them were wrong. I didn't even call or go back because it's just not worth it ordering today. We'll see if they get drinks right !! I mean when you order stuff extra hot or are paying for extra shots that's what you expect to get. If not, I could buy a bag of beans for the price of 2 cups of coffee. I'm from Sacramento and my grandparents live in Orland. Orland isn't used to having Starbucks or Round Tables or things like that. Being the city girl I am, I decided to stop at the Starbucks and order drinks for my family. Maybe I'm just used to the city, but this was a disappointing location. First day I came in and ordered 4 drinks. I decided to go in since the drive through was pretty long. Well I ended up sitting there for almost 25 mins waiting. They most definitely forgot about us. My dad had to go up and remind them to make our drinks after watching 5 people order and leave. They told my dad it was a "mobile order". I'm sorry but for a full staff, I shouldn't have had to wait that long. Again, I'm from the city where it's WAY busier with the same amount of staff and you get to go in and out. I tried this again a second day, this time the service was faster. This time I ordered the Mango Dragonfruit tea. The tea I received was, again, disappointing. The tea was SUPER watered down and not very many dragonfruit seeds. The staff was friendly, but I think they should all go to the city and train and learn a bit. Props to the Orland Starbucks! I'm not generally a customer of Starbucks, but I've been to this one twice, just by chance, when traveling through California. Both times the place was clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The first time I was there in 2016, they felt their service was slow (it wasn't), so they gave me a card for a free beverage on my next visit to any Starbucks. Very nice. As an aside, I tried to use that card in a Starbucks in Atlanta, and they weren't able to make me a shot in the dark (espresso topped with coffee) because they couldn't figure how to ring it up. They had already poured it, and so they had to pour it out so I could go get coffee at another establishment. Jeez. But I digress.... So we pulled off I-5 to get a coffee last week. By chance I remembered this was the one I had stopped at two years ago. Once again the staff was friendly and efficient. And the coffee was good too! And yes, it was a shot in the dark. This Starbucks is your average Starbucks but I made sure to add it to Yelp because I almost didn't know it existed while on a road trip on Interstate 5. If you need a pick me up this Starbucks sits right off the freeway with a few gas stations and fast food places surrounding it. The service was really friendly and the breakfast sandwich I ordered tasted pretty good. The bathrooms were clean and so was the sitting area. Hello, we went on Sunday at noon getting ready to head home to southern cali. Orange. So we stopped by and got some caffeine to go of course. This review is for 2 things. JC i believe his name was was very friendly and provided great services. There was an error not on his end but on the person making the drinks. He apologized and said they will remake it. I appreciated that. What I didn't like was after the fact the girl that waas there came and asked for the wrong drink and took off the top and removed the top layer to pit the correcr flavor. The way she said it with an attitude was disrespectful. It was probably her mistake ut the fact that we are in a pandemic and asks for drink back only to remove what was already floating downwards to just wipe the top and refill it . Its like its already mixing why not just re do it? Anyway. Positive feedback for JC!! Negative feedback for the girl that had an attitude. I enjoyed our drinks for our 8r drive! Yesterday afternoon I ordered a pound of Sumatra coffee at the drive up and when I went to pay, the employee said they were out of regular Sumatra so she sold me a bag of Special Edition Sumatra. Whatever the hell that means. The employee didn't even know what the difference was. Anyway, after I got home I thought the bag looked rather small. So I weighed it. 12oz. Cost me 13.95. Hey, wait a minute. A full pound of Sumatra is 11.95!! So I called them to find out what the heck was going on. Explanation was that the Special Edition costs more. (well, duh) I wasn't told that. Furthermore it didn't taste any different than the regular Sumatra I've been buying for the past umpteen years. Watch out for that special little silver bag they're gonna stuff you with for a few bucks more and for less coffee that doesn't taste any different than the regular stuff. I guess I should've asked how much it was and how much I was getting. Had I've known, I woulda got Komodo Dragon. Well, dopey me. Advantage Starbucks. UPDATE: This morning while I was sipping on my Special Edition Sumatra (haha) I decided to research what makes this coffee so "Special ". The question that a Starbucks employee couldn't even answer! It's a Special Edition because some dude named Tristan Eaton travelled to Sumatra, took some photos and wrote a story about the people, coffee and scenery he experienced all to be shared with the Starbucks community. That means all of us that are paying more for less coffee than we normally purchase are nothing but a bunch of saps!!!! OMG. If I had wanted to hear about Mr. Eaton's travels and photography, I would rather have read a brief about him at a Starbucks store then decided to buy (or not to buy) his story. The way it appears to me is that Starbucks has raised the price for less Sumatra coffee just to pay for Mr. Eaton's trip. Could this be the truth? It's only from my perspective which could be entirely wrong, but for Gods sake Starbucks, train your employees to let us know what the hell we as consumers are paying for so we can decide weather to pay more for less of the same old coffee because of a fancy bag and some dudes trip to a foreign country or opt for a different Starbucks product . I felt that I was taken advantage of by not knowing about more for less and still getting the same product. It made my coffee taste sour this morning. To hell with it...
