THAT was a huge trust-earning moment for me, she could have easily pocketed them as copper/brass, but was very honest. she checked in with me throughout the process, but i was content browsing and chatting with the other employees/customers, everyone was truly so nice. when sabrine told me my offer, i was so, so, so happy i almost cried- it was amazing and SO fair. sabrine was SO thorough, yet efficient with the help of other team members. she sorted through hundreds of pieces of jewelry in about an hour, and i walked out with more cash than i anticipated. And a $50 out-the-door cash subtraction from the wallet. Ouch. But, that's inflation for ya'. The owner's really nice, and she has a unique store, with a lot of stuff to look at inside while you're waiting. I went into this shop today expecting to get a decent deal for my Canon G7 X Mark III. A woman came…read moreand inspected my camera, and I was offered a pitiful $200. I didn't have an issue declining because I know what my camera is worth. As I started packing everything up to leave, she suddenly offered me $700 instead. I still declined. She then asked what I was looking to get for the camera, and I told her at least $1,000, especially considering I was including several attachments and accessories with it. Instead of trying to negotiate or have a respectful conversation, she laughed in my face and said, "Good luck getting that," before walking over to her coworkers and gossiping about the situation. The entire interaction felt incredibly disrespectful and unnecessary. I completely understand that a shop needs to make a profit and may not be able to offer exactly what I'm asking for, but there is a professional and respectful way to handle that. Laughing at a customer and making comments to coworkers instead of simply explaining the offer or negotiating was extremely unprofessional. I left feeling more disrespected than anything. I would not recommend this shop based on the way I was treated.
