This was my third time at Cali Nails, and I'm overjoyed at how my nails turned out. Cali Nails boasts the largest selection of ANC dip colors I've seen in any nail salon. I showed at 3:45 for a 3:45 reservation and was seated immediately for my pedicure. Philip put foil on my fingernails to soak off my previous ANC and then went to work on my pedicure. I asked him to make the water warmer and he complied while making sure it wasn't too hot (it wasn't). While I relaxed in the chair to Philip's magic hands, the music in the salon was amazing. An incredible mix of Mariah, Celine, and Whitney's greatest hits (aka the perfect girl's trip playlist). My nails were prepped by the time my pedicure was complete. I moved to Na's chair where she commented on how bright and summery my new nail color would be. Do not waste your time coming here. I got my nails done yesterday and my 95$ manicure did not even make it 24 hours. I paid 20$ extra for chrome and the top coat along with the chrome is chipped off on 4 of my fingers. Huge waste of money and very overpriced, I have never paid this much for just a manicure. I asked to just be refunded for the chrome that is already coming off, as I am in a time crunch and don't have time or want them to fix it for it to only look good until tomorrow. I was told that they would have to take it all off to refund me and I again said I do not have the time. I walked out and will never be returning or recommending this place to anyone. read more

I love going to get my nails done here. They are always helpful choosing colors that they know I would like. It is very clean!

Terrible service. Wasted over an hour to soak off my nails before I was supposed to get a full set. The one woman has the worst attitude that I decided to go somewhere else for my set. Bathrooms are also unhygenic as my friend was greated by a urine covered toilet seat when she went to the bathroom. Gross + terrible service = pick somewhere else! Not worth it. read more

Came here just looking for a manicure, and what i left with was NOT what I was expecting. Reasonable priced, yet while looking around things did not seem to be properly cleaned. oh well, i thought i won't come here next time - i don't want my nails being cut down by the same clippers as everyone else. Never will I go back .. I was charged 65 dollars for a gel pedicure and gel manicure.. After I got home , gel polish started to peel off. It's clean in there but I came for a pedicure. They didn't ask me what kind I wanted and just went in with the classic and did it in 10 minutes. And took 3 minutes to paint them. A classic pedicure is 30 dollars. Just think it should be a little more then 10 minutes for 30 dollars. read more

I have been going here for nearly 20 years. I have never had any of the issues that were in the other reviews. I have had acrylic nails since the beginning and they always look great, and never any infection or other problems. I get pedicures as well and love how they take their time, are meticulous and clean, and all the furniture is very comfortable. I used to get regular polish on the acrylics, but switched to gel a few years ago. Huge selection that they keep adding to. And my teenage daughter started going with me over a year ago and they do the most amazing art work on her acrylics too! You get what you pay for! They are worth what they charge. You can go as a walk-in but I recommend making an appointment (I can usually get on same day I call and that's for both of us at once) and be clear and specific about what you want done. Some techs do some work and others don't so if you call and are clear you will not be disappointed. read more

This place DOES NOT know how to do coffin or any other trendy shape..... trust me. I've been there a few times and each time I was more disappointed ! The lady doing my nails was watching a movie on her phone while doing my nails so she kept looking at the phone and looking at my nails every other 2 seconds. Not exaggerating... she then completely messed up two of my acrylics and had to completely take the nail off and start over. I had to keep watching her work to make sure it was done correctly because a few of my nails were crooked.... they still are all different lengths. I asked for rhinestones on my ring fingers, and she charged me $15 for that. On top of the $10 she charged for getting long coffin nails. This place sucks. Oh and the rhinestones fell off within 2 hours of leaving the salon. Not acceptable for a $60 acrylic set. Their prices on the wall doesn't mean shit. They charge you whatever they want. I went with a friend to get spa pedicures, we were led to the spa chairs right away. They started the water and left us for a while, my water was starting to get cold! Good conversation made it bearable, otherwise I would have walked out. I'm worried that I will get ingrown toenails because of the way my nails were cut. The woman who did my pedicure didn't speak English very well, I asked about an add on service to remove rough skin (this winter has been brutal!!!) she said what color? And proceeded with the painting. Usually spa employees are all about the upgrades, I was disappointed to say the least. Relaxing, and takes walk-ins. I just moved from FL where every nail salon in Tampa Bay accepts walk-ins. After moving here three weeks ago, I went to three different nail salons and all of them required an appointment for a basic manicure and pedicure. I had almost resorted to going to a mall nail bar (no offense, I just don't like going to the mall for anything), when I turned a corner on a road I was running errands on and saw Cali. Despite the low reviews here, I took a chance on them because I was in the area and it's close to where I live. The door was open when I walked in, which made for easy breathing inside the salon even though a customer was getting a fill at the first station behind the front desk. They also had the back door open to create a refreshing cross-breeze in the space and I detected a hint of incense, which was nice and not overwhelming at all. I could tell that the space itself was designed for "calm". The tawny color scheme on the walls, ceiling and chair upholstery are accented with black furniture pieces, a large tank filled with just a handful of orange fish, and well-placed artwork and vases. I immediately felt relaxed. The waiting area is off to the far right corner of the room so as not to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the pedicure station that's set off to the far left by columns. This area of the salon is a dream. It's set back (almost hidden out of view from the main part of the salon). Oscillating fans hang high on the wall and create the feeling of a sea-breeze. The message chairs are soft and cozy, unlike some of the uncomfortably hard chairs I've had the misfortune of sitting in at other salons (the kind where the massaging implement is practically bursting through the seat and into your spine). Light amber pendants hang over each chair's foot rest to provide technicians with additional working light and customers with a soothing glow in an otherwise purposefully darkened environment. A flat screen TV hangs on the back wall in the corner; during my visit it was at the perfect volume -- not screaming, yet loud enough for anyone who wanted to tune in). My eyes (and my spirit) welcomed this change from the mall-variety of large rooms where everything is bright white and uninteresting. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the owner and one other person. I asked if they had time for a manicure and pedicure and they immediately answered "yes" and told me to pick out my colors. While I was looking at the colors on the wall, Annie approached me with a smile and pointed out my pedicure chair. She was fantastic. She did a great job on both services and wasn't afraid to apply pressure during the foot massage. Both services cost me $35 plus $5 to remove the gel nail polish I came in with and $5 for extra callous removal. The price seemed fair to me, and I walked away happy and relaxed. I'll be back for another visit. I'll bring my own polish, though, as their selection is limited. read more

I have to commend her for the time she took to paint my nails, and make sure they were clean and even. Only downside is the prices.. Too expensive for the basics. Made an appointment (2 actually, one for me and one for a friend) and when I called, I specifically asked if I would be serviced at that appointment time as the last time I made and appointment I still had to wait a half hour! The man I spoke to assured me that we would be taken at my appointment time. Well - NOT SO! We still waited 20 minutes before being seated in a pedi chair and then was left there for another 20 minutes and my appointment was YET AGAIN 40 minutes past the scheduled time! All the apologies were useless. First time, forgivable. 2nd time - after being promised my appointment time would be observed - NEVER again. I have NO idea why they schedule and appointment time when they don't honor it. read more

Went for manicure before leaving for vacation. Polish seemed thick when applied, so I dried for longer time than usual. All nails smudged/peeled within an hour. I returned to show the owner. They offered to fix the mani, but I was leaving for the airport and did not have time to repolish and dry. Trying to be reasonable, I asked for either a refund of the $13 or a credit for a new manicure/polish change when I returned from the trip. The owner repeatedly refused saying he can't do that and said they only thing they could do for me was fix it now. It was difficult to communicate and I got nowhere fast. I removed the polish and boarded the plane with bare nails, $15 (with tip) poorer and completely frustrated. In a nutshell, terrible manicure and even worse customer service. The owner COULD refund for poor service or issue a credit, but WOULDN'T do anything reasonable to rectify the situation. With so many salons out there, go elsewhere. read more

Will not be returning here. Had to get a mani/pedi before a family members wedding. Paid 50 dollars for nail color the was not painted on thoroughly. When I looked at them closely you could see right through the poorly painted on coats. The girl that tended to me was not very talkative. Was not a fun experience. They have great people working there but it is beyond annoying when you have a scheduled appointment that they will take a walk in and make you wait or they will leave you sitting at their station while they do a pedicure for a walk in.
