*AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE* Six weeks to complete a $1,700 repair that was set for six to eight days of work--in total. Service agent Ervin Abalos literally has no clue as to what he is doing and CANNOT manage his production queue. Mind you, I *​scheduled* a drop-off that worked for their production queue and was told two weeks at time of drop off. Two weeks in--I was told four weeks. Four weeks in--I was told six weeks. I have extraordinarily awesome rental coverage and yet exhausted my policy because they didn't complete the work in accordance with my =TWO ADJUSTERS= that BOTH said six to eight days labor MAX. I've received countless text message updates that completely contradict one another. Told that the car is nearing completion and then told the car is in pieces. Told there is an additional day or two of work and then told it will take two weeks more. When pressed about the estimated completion date, Ervin said the dates are arbitrary, have no meaning, and the car will be ready whenever they get to it. In other words: tough luck to me. There folks don't know what they're doing. Are disrespectful with the way they off-handely genuinely don't care about your ability to get to work or shuffle your kids around. Again, go somewhere else. Nothing good can come of this place whatsoever. read more

I'm giving them two stars because the repair itself in the strictest sense was a quality job. I had to have a door replaced and it looks good, works well, sealed well. My issue is the sloppiness around the work. 1) When I got home I noticed a yellow stain smeared on the seat right where the work was being done. No idea what it is, some sort of grease? It looked like a highlighter but I'm sure that's not what it was. So I'm working on that with some fabric cleaner. 2) I drove off with my car and it smelled bad inside, what my wife described as "cotton candy/bubblegum Axe Body Spray brand air fresher." It was overpowering. I thought it might be something related to the paint or clear coat and would dissipate overnight, otherwise I'd have done a U-turn before leaving the parking lot. Boy was I wrong. I even drove it for 40 minutes on the freeway with the windows down, didn't help. A week and a half later with the windows rolled down the whole time, the car still stinks, although I think it has gotten slightly better. I had to buy 3 boxes of baking soda and dump it all over the inside of my car, this is my desperate attempt to absorb whatever is causing the smell. It's my wife's car and she won't even drive it because she's overpowered by the smell. This is not the Caliber Collision experience I'm used to, but it's the first time at this location. I honestly feel like I'm owed a full car interior detail. I did text the shop number to ask if they used any air fresheners and he said no they don't (so what is it? cologne? perfume?). They offered to take the car back to investigate, but I just don't trust my car with them. I am just so disappointed and surprised. In the past I have always had great work and a great experience at the Caliber Collision location on South Four Mile Run Drive in Shirlington. Although it's further from my new house, I'll be going back to that location in the future. read more

No reason to go here when you have much better options like NT Auto Body on Wheeler Ave. In the strictest sense of the repair, the quality of the work was great. In regards to the mechanic, Guy, he was nice. As far as everything else, this business leaves a lot to be desired. I waited 8 months to have my car repaired. Most of that time (5 months) was waiting for a part to be manufactured, which I can understand. What I can't understand is the 2-4 weeks it took to assess the damage to the vehicle at the beginning and the constant lack of being prioritized as a customer throughout the process. I would go weeks without a phone call to update me on anything or give me any idea of the length of time this process would take. Once I started to get update calls, they were sometimes informative, but would always feel rushed and that any questions or concerns I had were immediately dismissed or told they would follow up later, which didn't happen most of the time. I spent a lot of extra time having to call for updates to try to find out why it was taking so long. What made the experience worse was when the part finally came in, I was told that I was NOT being prioritized because other jobs had come in even though I had already waited 6 months at this point. It seems very unlikely these other cars had been there before me based off of what I have seen in these Yelp reviews. I was constantly strung along without any clear deadline I could count on. In fact, the receptionist told me on two different occasions that my car would be completed by a certain date in this final 2 month period, but those dates passed without any word from the shop. All this being said, there is no reason to go to this shop when there are other great shops in the area (NT Auto Body, for example) that aren't short staffed, can give you an accurate completion timeline, and make you feel prioritized as a customer even during a car parts shortage. read more

Caliber Collision provided Auto Body Repair work on my Audi and did a great job. I was extremely pleased with how everything turned out. I was glad to use this branch of Caliber since they are Audi certified and know how to work with paint on an aluminum body shell. The repair was done very well, the paint matches perfectly. Guy Johnson, the General Manager, kept me informed all along the way and coordinated the claim with the insurance company. Customer Service Representative Jawhara was friendly and efficient, she and Guy are a good team. I would definitely use this Caliber location again and recommend their work highly. read more

When my mother came to visit and borrowed my husbands car, it ended up needing the passenger side front panel and door fixed. It took about a week which we were ok with because we have another vehicle. When we picked it up yesterday it was clean inside and out then when we dropped it off. This place is the slowest repair center on the face of the earth. We have used the Chantilly and other locations before and they were very prompt. This place has had our car for over 6 weeks and it still isn't done. My husband drove over a curb. This is totally unacceptable service. We are going through USAA but will be sure to never use them again. They are obviously very understaffed and take on way more jobs than they can handle. Take my word and go elsewhere! read more

Caliber Collision on Farrington provides the most exceptional service! We live in Fairfax, and would gladly drive to Alexandria to get our car serviced at this specific auto shop. Johan Ponsen, the Service Advisor at this location, is phenomenal. He's extremely knowledgeable about various cars, he's honest, punctual, and always returns phone calls as soon as he knows you called. One star for trying. I needed to repair the bumper on my car and my insurance recommended them and the entire process was just annoying. They are SUPER SLOW! It took them an entire month to repair my car and they didn't even do it right. The paint on my mercedes did not match at all so i had to take it back, i was super patient with them the first time but obviously they do not have high standards with their service and do not care about details. The guy "guy Johnson" was also a joke the whole time , not professional at all , its like everything is a game to him. Anyways , I had to take my car back for a SECOND time in hopes they would get it right. Not only did i have to drive around in the most annoying rental ever , they took TWO weeks to complete the paint job. Basically, it took them getting it "right" almost TWO months! When i went to pick up the car for the second time, it stunk like paint so bad in the interior but at this point i was just completely annoyed and did not want my car there anymore. The guy said they fixed a small dent for free to be "nice" for messing up & i didnt even say thank you because seriously , what a joke. If you have a high end car or almost new DO NOT go to them! If my car got hit right in front of their shop i would have it towed somewhere else far far away from them. Thats how much they made me hate their service. read more
