Took my truck in following an insurance claim and once I submitted my insurance claim and dropped off the truck, they did everything else. Parts took a little long to come in, but they have no control over back orders so I definitely don't knock them for that. But the communication between the rep and I was great, they kept me informed on everything and checked in afterwards to make sure there were no issues. read more

This is the third time either our children or we have needed a repair and have used this facility. When our insurance suggested another location to bring the car to, we asked if we could bring it to caliber because we were familiar with their work. You have the right to bring your car wherever you want it serviced. We have always had very good results and great service here.. their competency is evident in everything they do, from dropping off your vehicle to picking it up, they stay on top of things at every step. read more

EDIT- They have given me a call saying they are getting in a new manager and all this mess happened because the other manager didn't handle it correctly and they said they will be keeping in contact with me and will call me next week, things are looking better. Beyond disappointed, got in an accident and brought my car here to be repaired and they have changed my date 3 times. Original guy assigned to my car had time off for a week and my car was not being worked on.. like wtf. New guy took over the case said my car would be done by the next week. Original guy comes back from his time off and has now changed the the finish date to 2 weeks from now. I am furious, NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER. They say "I will call you next week and let you know what we've made progress on" NO CALLS. "This person isn't in right now can I take your number and they'll get back to you?" NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. Will never come back and will FOR SURE be telling all my people to never come here as well. So unprofessional and they CLEARLY do not care about their customers. -Side note- If they would have just told me from the beginning it was gonna take over a month and gave me a far out date originally I would be perfectly fine with that. They fixed my car FAST! Big rock hit my windshield and hood, had to file a claim with my insurance....took it in on Monday and picked it up on Thursday. Katie (sp?) "Girl Boss" is the boss with the sauce! She sits at the front desk and basically runs the place! She is super nice and very helpful. Henry was my guy...he inspected my car, gave me options and pointed out that I had tinting on my windshield that they would also replace when they installed my new windshield. Enterprise picked me up and when I went to pick up my beautiful newly fixed car, all I had to do was leave the rental there...they took care of the rest. So my car was brought in for repairs after Nissan of Alvin caused some body damage and I had no control over where my car went. I was promised a high quality repair by the dealership and that this body repair shop was the only Nissan Certified shop in the area. What i got back was anything but high quality and if this is Nissan Certified repairs....wow.... First the damage involved the whole driver's side....some damaged panels were never touched. The drivers side door had parts fall off into the door first time I opened it, pin stripes were never put back, driving the car the next day windshield trim flew off on the highway, interior door panels fell off in my driveway, paint was missing from several repair areas and bare metal was exposed. What paint was on the car was a good color match. The repairs were so bad I traded the car and was offered $3,500 less by the same dealership who made a offer on the car just a month before everything happened. Felt sick about how bad the work was done at this shop. read more

They had my car back to me within a week. Also enterprise came and brought me a car while I was dropping off my car. When I came to pick up my vehicle I was able to just leave the keys with the front desk. I've unfortunately had a lot of experience with this process and Caliber is the best, easiest, friendliest place I've ever been. I did some significant damage to my front and rear suspension and this shop did an excellent job with the repair work. I'm a Geico customer and this is shop is part of Geico's Xpress service which made car rental and claims easy. Geico has an appraiser on site and apparently their regional reps also come by. Henry was especially good to work with - he was transparent about the progress and issues that would pop up as they were making repairs. The entire repair took a little over a month, but Henry wasn't going to let it go until they were confident they had done a thorough job because the nature of the damage meant there was a bit of hard-to-find damage. I appreciate this in the end because I'd rather a car fixed correctly than a car that was hastily repaired and constantly needed to be brought back in. They also refused to put any like kind/quality parts on my car that they weren't satisfied with. This resulted in them using several factory parts (approved & paid for by Geico). Henry also took care of my concerns about our car rental coverage running out. We went about 5 days over our coverage, but didn't have to pay anything over our deductible. I think this was made easier because of their relationship to Geico and the fact that we were using Enterprise which is also on site. In the end, the car was returned to us cleaned inside and out, detailed, and functioning as it was before the damage. If you're in the unfortunate position of needing the services of a collision shop, I'd highly recommend this one. read more

Had rear bumper minor repairs done back in October. This particular branch didn't finish the job in the time they stated on the contract, four days over to be exact and promised the extra days I had to keep the rental would be paid by them. Fast forward 9 months and just I found out I was on the "no rent" list with Alamo on picking up my rental for vacation for the unpaid balance. I spoke to them but they refused to honor their promise and basically left a customer hung up to dry. My mistake was taking their word without backup documentation. Anyone experiencing a vehicle accident comes into the body shop upset. Which is why customer service is so important from the first encounter, to the last. My experience with Caliber Collision did not provide satisfaction.....it exceeded my expectations. Mike managed the repair of my car and let me know the progress every step of the way. My car is a 2015 Mustang GT, which was hit on the left front bumper and headlight by a coworker pulling out of the parking space. I consider myself lucky because he left the insurance information. Caliber Collision is contracted by USAA to repair vehicles, so I went with them because they guarantee the work. My car was repaired in 3 days and I was able to pick it up. I was gone on a business trip for about a week and returned to see that the paint did not look right on the driver side door. I called Mike, and explained my problem. He immediately made an appointment to drive to my work and pick up the vehicle the next day. This is the first Yelp review I have taken the time to post. I had a wonderful experience with Caliber despite reservations with using a body shop that I was unfamiliar with and without any personal recommendations. For the third time since I have owned my current vehicle, I was in need of body work - through no fault of my own. My insurance company arranged for me to get an estimate on short notice at Caliber. I had previously used a different body shop on two other occasions. I had good work done at the unnamed shop and had no reason to use another, but needed to get the estimate on short notice. Caliber accommodated me, and gave me a fair quote. They are a partner of my insurance company, and as I have trust with the insurance company decided to give Caliber a try. It did not hurt that it is much more convenient of a location than I utilized before. Once I dropped my vehicle off, they were very professional. Jim Howell first explained to me the repair process for the damage on my vehicle, and then proceeded to mark on the vehicle all the spots to be repaired, and all the existing wear marks in a different (dry-erase?) color. He was careful to make clear what repairs would be made. At this point I was feeling okay about the impending work. Two days later is when Caliber began to stand out from other repair shops. That is when I received my first phone call to inform me of my beloved Ridgeline's repair status and its estimated completion date. They had my truck for nine days, and I received a call with similar status updates every other day until I picked up my Honda. The work was excellent! I have had a handful of experiences with other body shops, but this is a new level of customer service for me. The manager Michael Douglas came to introduce himself, gave me his card, and answer whatever questions I had. Fast forward to the next morning. I looked at my truck in the garage and noticed something not quite right. The plastic rail on the top of the bed was sticking up a little bit. On further inspection, I noticed the retaining clip had broken off, leaving the rail protruding slightly. I called the main number to Caliber and left a message with an employee. Mike Douglas called me back, and told me he wanted to make sure all repairs were done correctly and that he did not want to cause me any inconvenience. He actually came to me to survey the defect. Upon seeing it, he offered to order a replacement and come back to install it when it comes in! Had my car sent over from progressive (not my insurance company). Repairs were done ok-but one of their employees stole some things from my car. Called and found out from employee at this location that the employee had been fired. At first, they were willing to make things right. When the list of things missing was compiled-the manager said he would pay some but not all. In my opinion, you can make things right or not. Not much of a gray area, your employee stole from me, while on the job for you. Caliber should have done the background check and stand up for what is truly their mistake. I was in a car accent in June, the driver who hit me took responsibility so the insurance directed me to Caliber Collision in Alvin. All was good until around July, they said that my car would be done around the 20th so I rearranged plans for a trip I was taking. When I called, they said that it would not be done for another week. Which is fine, things and life happens. BUT, they completely ghosted me and kept me in the dark for 2 more weeks. Finally, I told my boyfriend to go up there because I wasn't getting anywhere. They explained to him that the tech forgot to put an inner plate in before my fender panel. So, they would have to take it apart and restart. The manager called me and was very apologetic , I'm a very easy going and understanding person so I get it. Things happen and people make mistake. But, I was told that my rental would no longer be covered. I let them know that and she said to me "well you need to turn it in so it looks good for the insurance company, you would be doing me a favor. " I agreed because she said my car would be done that Friday (August 5th). August 5th comes and the car is still not ready, and there is more damage that they caused. They said there was build up on the roof of the car from where they didn't cover the roof completely while working, when they sand blasted it to remove the build up they chipped my paint and they need to repaint the roof of my car. They now have no date they can provide to me nor will the manager speak to me. I looked at the app., it now says that the pick up date is August 19th. This is bad communication and integrity of the management. It isn't taking this long because of parts being on back order, it's simply poor work ethic and bad management. If they would have just kept me in the loop I wouldn't be so upset but to not let the owner know to the full extent of what going on is unprofessional. I still don't have my car back and I don't know when that will be. read more

Huge thanks to Henry Cuello and his team for getting my car all fixed up. Nothing could be worse than waking up and notice that someone backed up in your Lexus and left no info. This being my first actual damage to any of my vehicles was the easiest process ever. From bringing my car in get evaluated and getting my rental was all smooth. Process took about 30 min that including my rental being brought there. Took them 4 business days to get the job done(replace front bumper). The day of pick up was super quick, Henry had my car out fast, signed my papers and payed my Deductible took less than 10 min. Come to think, they also had cleaned inside and out, tire shine and everything. my mother recently took her car in for hail damage work and I feel they took advantage of her. Makes me wonder if they treat all older folks like this. Instead of looking the car over and giving her a written estimate they just asked her for the insurance adjusters estimate. My mother being a trusting woman gave it to them when she just should have told them to give her an estimate without the insurance paperwork. It's funny how the amount of the insurance check was the exact amount that they were charging her. If you ever have to take a car in for repair there, which I would strongly advise you not do, DO NOT give them your insurance company's estimate. TLDR: A mistake was made but the mistake was rectified at no cost to us, so all in all I'm satisfied with the end result. The bumper on my Dodge Journey needed to be replaced after a minor incident. Took it to Caliber Collision and Henry, and the front receptionist (I cannot remember her name) were super courteous and the Enterprise guys were super nice too. Henry kept us up to date on the process and everything was going well. The new bumper looked great and the color match was spot on. However, there is a small "clip" underneath the big plastic bumper that has slots for the exhaust to stick out. My Journey is a dual exhaust and the clip that was put on only had slots for one exhaust. My wife didn't realize this until she could smell the exhaust. After examining the repair she noticed this mistake and immediately called Caliber back. They ordered the part, had it in a few days later and replaced it at no cost to us. We are all human and make mistakes, I cannot fault anyone for that. The fact that they rectified their mistake without fuss means a great deal to me, as I had a similar situation happen at another dealership that did not end as well. I brought my car in for work on the rear bumper. Another driver rear-ended me and this is one of Geico's body shops they partner with and it is the closest to where I live. I had never had to deal with something like this before. Caliber Collision made it so easy to do the paperwork, pick-up a rental vehicle, etc. Henry was especially helpful. He is EXCELLENT. I work in Houston and wasn't able to make it at 1p the following day to pick up my car when it would have been ready, since I don't get off work until 5p... and couldn't be at the shop until 6p. If I took past 1p to pick it up, Enterprise would have to charge me for an extra day with my rental car. Henry could have just shrugged his shoulders and told me to figure it out, but he went ABOVE AND BEYOND and checked with his crew to see if they could have it ready for me that same day when I got off work. He told me he could stay late (until 6p) and that they will finish up the work and wash the car for me. I couldn't believe the service. When I came to pick up my car, it looked better than when I bought it from the dealership. I can't thank Henry and his crew enough for their professionalism. They insisted that I don't owe them anything because they are so humble, but I wanted to write this review to let others (and their supervisors) know how amazing Henry is and that I truly appreciate the care, kindness, and professionalism they have shown me. The work they do is beautiful, as well. You just don't find that kind of regard in the auto repair industry. What a horrible experience at this facility. This is a Geico preferred shop and I shouldn't have used it. Was told my car was ready, drove it home and discovered a fitting on the transmission cooler was leaking oil. Also, The headlight on the passenger side wasn't fastened down and was moving around in the support bracket. The hood accidently opened up on the way home and I couldn't get it closed. The shop sent a technician to my home to adjust the hood latch where it would close. I rejected the repairs 2 more times after this fiasco and was put into a rental car by Caliber Collision. The after market parts that Geico approved were all cheap junk. Henry the shop manager was pleasant to deal with but I suspect he never inspects his workers final product. Quality control out of this shop is non existent. Avoid this shop at all costs if you want a good quality repair done to your vehicle. It's not Caliber's fault but I would also like to point out that the Geico rep (Bradley) who approves the parts for the shop to use in the repair will never return a phone call or an email. This whole process was a lot more stressful than it should have been. I recommend to take your vehicle to the dealer if you want decent repairs. Don't ever use a Geico approved shop. It only benefits Caliber Collision and Geico all at your expense. read more

When assessing the damage to the front end of our vehicle, they failed to repair a spot on the hood that was dented and scratched. They stated that they didn't think it was involved in the accident. The vehicle was only purchased a few months prior to the accident and had no previous damage. The hood damage was only inches away from the rest of the repair. We were forced to contact our insurance agency and ask them to please keep our claim open, set up another rental car, and provide another payment for service. It was a major inconvenience to be without our car for an additional week. I would not recommend going to Caliber Collision in Alvin, and my wife and I will pursue other options in the future should a need arise. read more

Back in October of 2014 my vehicle was struck by a deer and I took it to the Alvin shop for the repairs. I was told the their work was guaranteed for life. Well after I had the vehicle for a few days I noticed several things weren't right, so I called them up and they asked me to bring my vehicle in and they'll take a look at it. After taking sometime off of work, I did as they asked, when I got there I was told the first person I was working with is no longer working there, so they gave me to another employee who looked at the things I noticed was wrong, he asked me if I can bring the vehicle back so they can do the repairs, I agreed and a few days later I brought it back. Now of the three things the were supposed to be repaired only one was semi repaired and in regards to the other two, I was told that a part would have to be ordered and that I would receive a phone call when it's in. I've made several calls back regarding my pending repairs and all I get is the old I'll check on it and give you a call back. Now keep in mind this has been going on since October of last year and as of January 30, 2015 I haven't heard anything from them. read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not use this location. I had a good experience with Caliber in Galveston, so I thought this would be a good place for car repairs after an accident. Boy was I wrong. They did not fix the rear end properly, then said they didn't know how to fix it. That was it. No trying to outsource it, call another one of their shops for help, nothing, That was after they were paid by the insurance company. I spoke with several of their people on numerous occasions all to no avail. It took 6 months to finally get my vehicle fixed and thank God my insurance company paid (again) for the repairs (elsewhere of course). Caliber Collision of Alvin prompted me to join yelp and submit this entry. I, personally, had a very poor experience with this Caliber location. My car sustained critical damage from an accident. Caliber told me they recommended my car to be considered totaled (to my insurance company) but my insurance company told them to replace the damaged frame instead. Later my insurance company said Caliber never submitted paperwork stating it was their opinion the truck should be totaled. The end results - Caliber was paid over 12,000 for the replacement of the frame whereas if they submitted paperwork stating the truck should have been totaled they would have received $0. I have had numerous issues with my vehicle which the dealership and another Caliber said was due to the original repair. I will not use this Caliber Collision again. read more

A few years ago my tailgate was stolen off of my truck and I had to use Caliber Collision to get it replaced because at the time they were State Farm's preferred body shop. It took them two months to get the tailgate, paint it, and get the spray in liner done. I told my self then I would never use them again. Fast forward to the present day. I wrecked my truck in January and now have Nationwide insurance, guess who the preferred body shop is, caliber. In the interest of time I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and take my truck there hoping it would be quicker than picking my own shop to go to and to wait for a Nationwide adjuster to come to my house. I dropped my truck off on 1/17/2017 and they had it tore apart in a day and a half but took over a week and a half to submit the estimate to my insurance company. After they finally did that I was told parts were on back order, which was fine I had a rental car. I was notified that parts were in and ready to be installed on 2/14/17 and I would have my truck back on 2/24/17..On 2/22/17 I was called and notified that one of the parts had come in damaged and had to be sent back and would arrive again on 2/24, meaning I was lied to on 2/14. On 2/27 I called to see if part came in and they said no it should be in on3/1, at this point I am beyond agitated. On 3/1 I was notified that the replacement part also came in damaged and it would be 3/24 at the earliest. This place has been giving me the run around from day 1 and I will NEVER use them again, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. read more

Caliber Collision still has not fixed the paint job on the hood properly. I had hail damage, took my ey car to Caliber Collision, Alvin Texas. After two weeks finally get car back,when I get home notice all kinds of holes and bubbles throughout the hood of car that they supposedly painted. My sisters car had hail damage and used a place here in Angleton and i'd taken my sister to pick her car up and that's when the guy working there pointed out that it was Fish Eyes and tiny holes throughout the entire paint job. Taken car to Ashley and showed her, she was like ohh wow we'll fix that for you. Took several weeks before they got the car back in, went to pick car up and its after 6pm and it has like dust all over it so when i get home find out they basically only waxed and buffed the hood the holes and fisheyes are still there, I guess I need to contact geico since they were out over $5,0000 to repair my car and yet Caliber Collion Alvin hasn't fixed the paint job, they had dust in their paint filters and all kinds of debris is on the paint job. You will be wasting your money and your insurance companies. Do yourself a favor and check around but do NOT go to Caliber Collsion the receptionist who answers the phone is rude also read more
