I was forced to use this body shop after a car wreck by my insurance carrier. The communication was acceptable; however, they tried to extend the repairs by 2 days because one of their techs was out sick. While I empathize, I don't feel it's fair to expect the customer to pay for a rental because of the company's staffing issues. Once I expressed this, my vehicle was magically ready the same day. I was rear-ended and USAA offered Caliber Collision because they partner with them! They said they guarantee the work for the lifetime of the car. Martin was extremely nice when I took the car in. When I picked the car up, my son who is the quality control person at a collision shop in Atlanta, looked it over for me. He notice trash in the paint and some patches of paint missing on the door frame. I took the car back and asked them to buff it out. I also asked them to fix the place on the door frame. They refused to fix the door frame stating that it wasn't part of the original accident. (Due to the trunk being unable to open after the accident, caliber had to shove everything from the trunk into the backseat once they opened it.) I asked to see pictures of the car before and after the repair, but they did not have that angle and my son said that it is possible it was done during the during the removal of the trunk stuff.) They did buff the car, but they did not do a very good job. My son says it looks like they only sanded it. There were swirls and trash still left in it. I took it by Toyota to have them look at the door and also at the truck and they said that they did a lousy job. There is compound stuff all over the door frame and the inside of the trunk. My son ended up taking it to his shop to repair the things they screwed up.I do not recommend this place at all. They did not do good job and it caused more problems than it was worth. If, God forbid, there is a next time, Toyota will definitely get the car. read more

Customer service is horrible. Crystal at the front desk will make you want to take your vehicle elsewhere no matter how nice the actual service advisors are. Why would they have someone at their front desk representing them in that manner is beyond me. Stay far away from this location!!! read more

Avoid this Athens location and use other locations. We had our vehicle repaired here and they used a broken headlight. The replacement headlight moved constantly and would shine straight up into the sky when we accelerated and then straight down to the ground while braking. Not sure how this was missed during the repair as we noticed it immediately. The experience only got worse from this point. We frequently had to pop replaced parts back into place as they were often falling off and into the wheels and tires. When we returned the manager said it was an easy fix and would take four hours, it just needed the bumper realigned. We agreed to leave it for a day so they would have plenty of time. While there, we listened to the staff go into a backroom (near their restrooms) and argue over fixing it. During their argument, we learned that the original repair technician was no longer employed there and they really didn't want to fix our car. They were very loud and we could hear everything from their waiting area. I scheduled an appointment and we dropped the vehicle off the night before the appointment. The next morning a lady called and stated that they had no record of our appointment. The promised "four hour repair" resulted in wasting two days of vacation only to get it back unfinished and more parts hanging off. Check out the pic of the vehicle when we went to pick it up on January 3rd after they had the vehicle for two days. This picture is in their parking lot! I popped the trim above the wheel back on so we could safely drive the vehicle home. I attempted to work with the location manager, John, but his aggressive attitude and lack of follow up only created more problems. He was very hostile on the phone. John really should not be interacting with customers as he's greatly damaging the reputation of Caliber Collision. This poor repair experience coupled with his bullying attitude are something that I will never forget. The Suwanee location ended up replacing many parts to correctly repair our vehicle and their level of professionalism is a million times better than Athens. The Suwanee location needed our vehicle for an additional ten days after the Athens location initially "repaired it". I will never return to the Athens location and will let my friends and family know about our experience. After this experience, I'm going to tell anybody with vehicle damage to avoid Caliber in Athens. read more

I had no problems with the work that they did. My only issues is that the technician assigned to work with me told me that if I didn't give him all 10 stars he would be considered by management to have failed and he would have to report to them why. Much of what I was asked to review was out of his control. Consider that the 10 stars people gave may have been pity stars. read more

upon the initial estimate I informed them that I had an after market part that was important to me and wanted to be sure in was replaced and didn't fall through the cracks. They never ordered it or tell me that there was going to any issue in replacing it. On the day that I was scheduled to pick up vehicle they on fired my that the fender and door that were replaced did not fit correctly. They also didn't replace part I told them about on day one. They did not take any responsibility for any of it and a shoulder shrug blamed it Amazon very poor customer service and now after 4 weeks since I took back vehicle still not complete. The manager and employees take their time finishing the car not to mention where they painted my car over it doesn't match the rest of the car at all it's completely off .. The staff is incredibly hit or miss. The managers actually care (if you can manage to speak to one), however the receptionist is rude. She was more worried about my ability to pay than the service she was providing. When it came time to pick up my truck, their text service said it was ready. However it wasn't. After going back and forth, it was ready the next day. It was rainy and nasty out when I dropped off my vehicle, and they didn't even clean up the mud from their employees driving it. And the "best part", they didn't even complete all the repairs. I ended up fixing the vehicle myself as it was easier than there "drop it off and give us about a week" theory. It took me less than 4 hours. Disappointing to say the least. read more

Where do I even start? DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. I had the worst experience ever with the location and will never recommend them to anyone. Took 3x longer on my husbands car than estimated. (I understand everyone is understaffed right now and the turnaround time was not my issue). My issue was that every single time I spoke to "Mark" who was in charge of my husbands car, he would give me the run around and tell me "It'll be done Friday". 3 more weeks went by so I called to get an update. Was told "All that needs to be done is a wash and final papers. We will have it done tomorrow". I then called the next day, to only be told that it still needed to be washed and said "I'll call you when I have an update". I asked for the manager, only to find out that it wasn't in fact done. So mark lied to me and couldn't ever keep his stories straight. They had my husbands car for almost 2 months when they said it would take 15 days. We pick it up, well they didn't even replace his second head light!! Mark told us that he was waiting on it to be delivered and when it was he would call us to put the new headlight in since it was covered under our warranty. WELP. That was on November 24th, it's now January 3rd and I've heard nothing. I called the week of Christmas and Mark told me "Well I need to see if Geico is even going to cover the second headlight". Even tho he stated to my husband that it was ordered and covered. We fully expect to have to pay OUT OF POCKET to get my husbands second headlight replaced since this location is ridiculously unprofessional. Everytime you call they are full of excuses. 2021 Hyundai Elantra owner. This location has had the vehicle for over a month and has not updated us on the repair time for 2 weeks. We were told the vehicle would be ready via text message on July 31 that 8/4/23 was the pick up day and we called and they changed the date to 8/10/23. Then was told that we called in to opt out of the text message alerts. Why would anyone do that when they still have the car. We told them we haven't called their location except on 8/4/23 to see if the vehicle was really ready. Not only had the rental car gone past 30 days and now have to pay $300 for a deposit plus $30 a day for any days we keep it, the deductible still needs to be paid. But it gets better, we found the link they use to update us on, they have pushed the pick up date back to 8/18/23. This would be the third change in pick up date. They have yet to alert us on the ETA of the parts ordered. This is truly ridiculous. My job is at jeopardy if I can't drive to work and these people are so hard to get a hold of plus they are not updating us. read more
