Last week, I scheduled an appointment online with Caliber Collision to repair my side mirror. Their website walks you through selecting your vehicle make, model, and year, uploading photos of the damage, and receiving an estimate that is supposedly reviewed before you're allowed to book an appointment. Tesla is explicitly listed as an option in their vehicle dropdown, which I selected. The photos I uploaded clearly show that the car is a Tesla. After receiving the estimate through their system, I booked an appointment and received multiple confirmation texts and emails leading up to it. At no point--online, via email, or via text--was it disclosed that this location is not Tesla-certified and cannot perform Tesla repairs. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment this morning, I was then told they are unable to work on Teslas. This was the first time this information was shared. This resulted in a complete waste of time. My husband and I rearranged our work schedules and took the morning to work from home specifically to make this appointment, only to find out on arrival that the service could not be performed. Now I have to restart the entire claims and repair process elsewhere. If a shop cannot service Teslas, that should be clearly disclosed before allowing customers to submit claims, upload photos, receive estimates, and book appointments. Allowing Tesla selection in the system and sending repeated appointment confirmations creates a very reasonable expectation that the repair can be done. This was entirely avoidable and reflects a serious breakdown in their online intake and scheduling process. read more

Took my vehicle in to get a dent repaired and it ended up taking 1 full month to get fixed, racking me up a $1300 tab with rental car. It took them 2 weeks to get the panel painted after all the parts were gathered. It lasted an extra week because they had to "redo" the paint and clear coat because it "wasn't up to their standard" meanwhile costing me $270 more in rental fees. The paint and clear coat didn't last more than 2 months until I had to bring it back in to get redone. Now the clear coat is chipping off on all edges of door and panel they repaired, and I'll probably have to bring it in again to get RE-DONE. Communication was good all the way through which is why they earned an extra star. read more

Didn't replace bent suspension parts. Missing hardware after repair. Loose bolts on fender. Took my truck in after a collision. Impact was of wheel, fender and door. Wheel took the brunt of the crash. I asked to have the suspension checked carefully. When I received my truck there were no parts replaced on the suspension. Looking at the alignment report I was able to determine that the steering knuckle was bent. Had to show them and they agreed but insurance denied the supplement. Should have been on the original estimate. I had to order the part and replace it myself to take pictures to get reimbursed. While replacing the part I found the inner tie-rod has excessive play and the wheel bearing doesn't spin smoothly. These are common issues when a vehicle is hit like this. Their mechanical tech lack training on diagnosing basic suspension damage. Regional management from caliber reached out but failed to follow through. read more

Brought my car here after getting a little fender bender. The estimated repair time was about 1 to 2 weeks. I was updated daily during the workdays on the status of my vehicle and they were prompt in answering any questions that I had. They managed to complete their repair in one week! They did a great job and the paint goes all around the edges! They even gave it a car wash & cleaned up the inside! Staff were friendly. I took my car in after a little fender bender to the Caliber near Love Field. What a great experience! The people are so friendly and knowledgeable, and there is an Enterprise rental agency right in the building, which is very convenient. Also, a week earlier I'd taken my car to the dealer to have them fix my emergency parking brake that wasn't releasing properly. They said the entire brake system had to be replaced because of a worn out spring to the tune of $700. Seriously? Instead I had Caliber look at it, and the technician said it was just gummy and a C-ring had slipped out of place. So they fixed it at no charge!! I will be contacting the service director at my dealership..... I took my car in on a Monday and it was finished and looked like new on Thursday. Paige was my advisor, and she updated me often on my car's progress. I highly, highly recommend! read more

So a week ago, while driving down 183 at 5:23 am on my way to work, I hit a huge piece of debris, which cracked my bumper cover, and took out my turn signal/fog lamp assembly. I thought everything was okay, as my TPMS warning light didn't come on, an no other warning lamps came on. Upon arrival at work, I checked out the damage, and it was pretty bad. Belly pan was hanging, bumper cover was cracked in a few spots, half my wheel well liner was gone. After work, I filed a claim on the Geico app, and I thought the appointment was for the next morning, Friday. I arrived at the Caliber location at 9 am, and the receptionists could not find me in the system. Lo and behold, the appointment was for Monday. The ladies coordinated with the body shop personnel, had a rental vehicle waiting for me, and took my car in. I was floored at how they came together to take care of me!! They advised my car would be ready in a week or so, and i expected delivery Friday 7/24. The kept me on the loop the whole time, advising on the progress they were making. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP! They do not value the customers safety or concerns! I have been dealing with this company since September of 2020, and my vehicle is STILL NOT REPAIRED CORRECTLY. My brakes now do not work at all, and I almost got in a major wreck behind this shop. My first repair was very expensive and cost over $20k you'd THINK they'd actually fix the car, I'm beginning to believe they just want your money and will tack on anything they can to insurance but when it comes down to actually repairing they do the minimum! I have dropped my car off a total of 7 times since January 2021 - not counting the ones in 2020. Do not trust this shop! read more

While mechanically the car seems to drive well, totally disappointing having to initiate communications, while being told the car was being "worked on" and looking at the car status (Mercedes status can be viewed via app), with the car sitting for days without open, but locked and not moved. After nearly two months, was told it was all cleaned and ready for me. Scratches on the car, sanding dust throughout the interior, paint overspray, lid to fuel tank broken (and still broken). When told my car was ready, also not asked what kind of job did they do or how I would rate them, but was asked to please delete survey. Obviously Paige knew it was a poorly done job. Took the car to the Galleria where they bent over backwards to help. The Love field location is the worst. Obviously misleading, incompetent and half arse job. After someone accidentally backed up into my parked car, I chose Caliber for the estimate and repair. I am SO happy with my experience and Caliber really went above and beyond in many ways, including - - Having Kyle (center manager) drive me back to work in his personal vehicle so I did not have to go through the hassle of getting an Uber - Consistent email communication from Chris, to update me on all aspects of the repair and when it was ready - A perfect repair that makes my back bumper look back to new - The Manor Way location is really nice and clean with coffee, water, sodas and snacks - They even washed my car and cleaned the inside of it! Wow, what a nice surprise! Car damage can be an extremely stressful situation. Caliber really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, valued and repair my vehicle perfectly in a short amount of time. I hope I don't need repair services again anytime soon...but if I do I will 100% use Caliber for the job and 100% recommend you do too! read more

Would give a zero star review if I could. My mom was in a car accident and to make matters worse, this shop did an awful job at repairing her truck. When we first picked up her truck, they told us it was all ready to go, everything that was damaged during the accident was fixed. But on further examination, we found that bed of the truck was still misaligned, the DVD player was not fixed, there was paint on the truck AND most importantly the fuel system was not working properly. We brought the truck back and asked for it to be looked at again but they refused. They claimed that the DVD player was not part of the accident so they would not fix it and the fuel system was not worked on in the first place so it doesn't fall under their warranty and they won't be fixing it. It wasn't until we brought up the statement where it CLEARLY stated that they did in fact work on the fuel system and that it did fall under their lifetime warranty, that they decided to take the truck back and fix the issue. My insurance company recommended Caliber as it's closest to my home. I dropped my car off on a Friday morning and expected it would be in their shop for at least a week, but it was ready by Tuesday at 9am (they're closed on weekends so it technically was only 48 hours). They have a seamless rental process as an affiliate with Enterprise, I was literally in and out of the shop with my rental within 10 minutes of drop off. When I came back to pick up my car, it was just another 5-10 minutes. Everyone at the shop was friendly, my car looks good as new, and they offer a lifetime warranty. Fingers crossed I don't have to deal with the stress of a collision again, but I will trust Caliber if I do. Thank you so much for making this so easy for me! 10/10 would recommend. read more

I got T-boned and allowed the other party's insurance (esurance) to pick the shop, and they picked this one. In retrospect, I might have been better off making them use the VW dealership, but if I had, the price difference would likely have totaled out the car. Ah, the lovely catch-22. Moving on. Brian was the first project manager handling my repairs. He got it turned in about 2 weeks, but when my husband and I went to drive it, it drove all kinds of wrong. He took it back into the shop to replace the rear axle, which was sorely needed as the other driver hit me square in the rear wheel, and then handed the case off to Dylan ... with no notes. Thanks, Brian. This wound up being a big deal, because Dylan is looking at it and thinking it's a total, and he can't reach esurance to get confirmation. Meanwhile, I'm calling Dylan a couple times a week for updates, and he can't figure out why I'm looking for updates on a totaled car, and NO ONE CAN REACH ESURANCE. He finally told me all of this, and I was able to get someone at esurance by calling Allstate, their parent company. Finally, we're able to move forward with the rest of the repairs after almost a month of the car being in the shop. They put a brand new tire on the wheel that was hit, but left me with a fairly worn mate for it. Why on earth wouldn't you call the customer and say "hey, I know it's not covered as part of the wreck, but we can put on a matching tire and bill you so you car performs properly and you don't have to mess with matching it later"? I would have taken them up on it instead of now sitting at a tire shop on my day off. Basic customer service, y'all. Will, the general manager and Dylan have been non-communicative, will not return calls, do not follow up and promise things that are not delivered. Then, when you pick up your vehicle and there is damage, they caused, it takes over weeks to get a response and I am still dealing with it. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. After a minor collision USAA gave me several options. I picked Caliber just because it was the closest to downtown where I live but not knowing anything about this shop. I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism from beginning to end. Chris was really helpful and addressed all of my concerns! I had to bring my car into this location after it was serviced at a Caliber Collision in another state because the a/c wasn't working when it got delivered to me. I was worried I would have to go through insurance to get this fixed but Chris found out it was something they should have fixed and immediately was able to take in my car. Plus he got a rental situated for me which was perfect because I had a ton of errands to run newly moving here and a rental didn't come with my insurance policy so I was super thankful for that. 10/10 customer service! read more

Does anyone ever really expect anything spectacular from an auto service and repair shop? I think not; typically you get what you pay for (or less) and you're out as soon as possible. And although Caliber Collision is in just that category of auto repairs, their customer experience and service is out of this world. I'm truly baffled and so impressed with their level of service. I came in with an OEM taillight that needed to be replaced (my current one was cracked), so I assumed they would charge me labor only. When I called to inquire I was so surprised that they told me to just bring in the car and light and they'll do it for FREE! I didn't spend anything and they were as pleasant and happy to work with in person even though there was no cost charged to me at all! I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants a seamless customer experience and an enjoyable process if they ever have to fix their car! Late post but I wouldn't recommend bringing your vehicle here for repair. Maybe it was the guy handling my car but when I received my car back, headlight wasn't functioning. The rep told me to buy the part and bring it back so they can change it and also the insurance company will compensate me for the part which they never did. When I brought the part in, he said I needed to leave it for the day so they can install it which was ridiculous because it doesn't take a day to switch out a light bulb. And also, I use my car for work so no way I could leave it there another day after returning my rental. I ended up bringing it somewhere else and they installed it in 5 minutes. Also it was front damage and so I had to get new bumper and they installed my license plate crooked. I just felt they didn't really care and poor communication as well. read more

Where do I even begin with this place, 3 months of being lied to about the when all of the parts will be in (which I have on text message and calling him out on his lie with no response), cannot get ahold of them and have to show up to get any kind of information, kept my vehicle for 5 days and NOTHING had been done to it because all of the sudden all of the parts weren't there like I had been told and didn't call to tell me. I had to show up to see what was going on when I was told they would only have it for 2 days. (My vehicle was drivable) I then take it home because I need my transportation and 2 months later of asking when my parts will be in, I'm still getting the run around. I have on text message where the manger was telling me to find my OWN PARTS because one of the parts had been discontinued and he told me to find my own aftermarket part. They also told my insurance everything was done and completed the day I picked my vehicle up and was ready for payment which was NOT true... umm hello insurance fraud??? FINALLY after 2 months I get a call saying everything is ready to be picked up, I show up and they take my vehicle back to put my tailgate on then I get thrown my keys and he says "oops I didn't rhino line it like you requested, anyways call your insurance they can get it done" and he runs off. Services were not done that I asked for and the lock on the tailgate is broken, after my insurance pays them a few grand with the services that were not finished or completed. My insurance is aware and they informed me they cannot get ahold of this place and now my insurance is sending me to another shop to get the other services and the lock fixed because I refuse to step foot back in that shop. read more

I had my vehicle repaired here due to a recommendation by my auto insurance company. My vehicle was struck in the front end by a flying piece of tire debris while driving on I-35. Everything went smoothly... I dropped off my vehicle, they kept me updated with the estimate and any updates. Then they called me on a Wednesday and they advised me that it would be ready for sure by the next day, Thursday. Well that wasn't true, they called on Thurs. to tell me it would be ready on Friday. No big problem as I'm pretty flexible... although I'm sure others in a similar situation would have acted as if the world were ending. So I go to pick up my vehicle on Friday and no issues until about a week after I pick it up. They did a ton of work in the front end and also R&I work of my vehicle and they forgot to connect the windshield wiper fluid cord (I assume), so now it's unable to spray the fluid at all.... which is actually pretty inconvenient -- imagine having to get bug guts off the windshield by stopping at a gas station every time. They got sort of upset that I did the emailed customer service survey and gave them a low score -- a low score which they rightfully deserve. I should have taken to the last repair shop I used in March of 2020-- which was Sewell Collision on Haggar Way. I totally regret taking my vehicle to Caliber Collision. read more

I had my car repaired by caliber collision a couple months prior, with extended deadlines that just kept getting extended, added to the horrendous attitude by miranda and her young coworker at the front desk, I for some reason thought of trying to choose them to do a similar repair I now need done again, but I don't know why I considered, the first time when my car finally was done, one of my friends let me know that the taillights weren't functional, which greatly surprised and worried me as the repair was front collision body work, there is no need to be messing with the taillights in the back, I came back in after repairs absolutely furious after a 4+ week job that was quoted for 2 weeks, and the manager finally came out after a period of waiting about 30 minutes and DIDN'T EVEN BELIEVE ME, he saw numerous times what was wrong with my car and still chose to argue with me before I could even see about them fixing something that should have never been broken in the first place. It honestly saddens me to see these people as a gay male living in dallas texas advertising the rainbow flag with such incompetence and attitudes to follow. I will never be going back to this shithole, and I strongly urge you to take your time to read other reviews and do the same. Make sure you hold Chris accountable for the shotty work him and his coworkers get paid for, if you come into business with. Don't come to this place unless you are prepared to argue with them like you went home to argue with your parents, that's what i was trying to get away from LOL. read more
