I've dealt with Caliber Collision 3 times in the past 10 years and as far as I can tell the entire staff seems kind and helpful. The last time I dealt with them was several years ago when my vehicle was hit while parked at a store. Last month I brought it in as they are the preferred vendor for my insurance company. I had really great interactions with Jade, especially when I was needing to schedule my initial drop off. It was late on a Friday and I was working a double on Monday when they initially told me to bring it in. They allowed me to do an early drop off and had the paperwork ready, even though I offered to do it via email on Monday. The shop also coordinates with Enterprise directly which makes the drop off of a rental super easy! My personal hero from this situation was Cope! His communication skills are top notch. I felt listened to and that my best interest was taken into account. He also took the time to make sure I understood the process and when to expect updates. Honestly he did a better job of keeping me informed than my insurance company did. I wish I could give him 7 stars! I highly recommend! read more

Caliber Collision - Body Shops Near Me - Denton, Texas

I was in a collision and took my vehicle to Caliber in Denton, TX for major repairs. After getting my vehicle back, my mainenance service provider noticed that my bumper was popping out on the driver's side. I took it back to Caliber and the technician popped it back in. Since then, the bumper has popped back out again and I can't get anyone to call me back. Sometimes the phone just rings and I have left messages. I sent an email to the company's website customer contact page and still no response. My vehicle cost over $8K in repairs. Clearly no inspection was done on my vehicle before leaving Caliber's lot. So for now, you get a one star for the unsatisfacotry customer service and sloppy work. read more

Terrible customer service! They leave restored vehicles on the street instead of protected on their lot. My car was returned to them by USAA to fix an electrical issue after a front end collision and they accused us of doing something to the vehicle to cause it. This conversation made no sense to me since USAA will pay for them to fix the issue. It's completely inappropriate to be confrontational with a customer who has been through a car accident and just wants their vehicle fixed. Apparently they don't understand good customer service and we will not return or recommend this location! USAA filed a complaint for me to remove this location from their preferred business list. read more

My car has been in this shop since March 28th. I was given an original turn around date of two weeks (the reason I had my vehicle towed there in the first place), which turned into April 27th (a date I was OK with since I knew it wasn't a simple fender-bender to repair) then May 2nd and now the expected fixed date is "mid-next week". I was provided a rental at their expense (a month into them still having my car when my rental reimbursement ran out) only after I expressed how I needed to go out of town one weekend and I was still car-less. Some individuals enjoy rentals but I do not. It is a much larger vehicle than the one I own and let's not talk about its MPG. I spoke to the manager and all he offered me was a detail and full tank of gas when my car was ready. My car is not in need of a detail and I can afford my own gas! I make additional money for my family with my car and haven't been able to do so in over 40 days. I am still responsible for paying for my deductible at 100% but Cailber has not been honest through this process and I regret ever bringing my car to this location. I keep getting told that they are behind because of last month's hail storm but my car was in the shop before the storm. I strongly believe they are taking hail damage repairs in and just bypassing my car since they've given me things to pacify my complaints. There is clearly a need for redirecting a couple of career paths in this branch. The two ladies that work in the office were rude, condescending and combative. It took about 3 days of given misinformation to figure out that this is clearly somewhere you DO NOT want to do business. There was a great effort to avoid accountability and I was treated with a great amount of disrespect. I have used Caliber to repair my vehicle twice...once in Flower Mound and once, most recently in Denton. This last time, it took longer to get the repairs done, though, not Caliber's fault. When I got the car back, I noticed a few things that prevent me from giving a full 5 star rating. There is a chipped spot on my back bumper that was not part of the original accident estimate because it wasn't there before I took the car in. It was covered up with paint, but it is still very obvious that it's there. The other issue is the mirror on the right side that WAS on the estimate. It was supposed to be replaced entirely, and was not. Aside from these 2 things, the service was good. Trey was responsive and kept me informed. I have not taken the car back because of scheduling issues and would rather have it fixed at my local shop if possible...I will have to check on that. read more

Do yourself a favor and work with anyone other than Trey. The body shop work is decent. They got paint on my window and other areas where paint shouldn't have been. They did say they would fix it but I honestly didn't trust them enough to take it back in fear they'd break something else. They also broke a tail light and charged me for it after I was told I wouldn't be charged for it, which is the advisors fault since he said they'd take care of it. When asked why, Trey said "that's just part of business and why we don't take checks from insurance but work direct." Basically what he was saying is that they will suck money out of insurance companies by replacing parts that either do not need to be replaced or will charge them for items they broke in their shop. read more

I had to go here to get my bumper replaced after an accident. First they left the windows down in my car during a week of rain and returned it to me sopping wet and I had to go back and get it vacuumed and detailed and then the next month, when I had a local car mechanic look at my car for something else, he noticed the bumper was not SCREWED IN. I had to go back again to get them to actually do their job. They made my first accident a miserable experience and I do not recommend anyone go there for any work. read more

Got rearended in my Liberty, took it to Caliber and they fixed the body work up nice however the alignment was terrible when I picked it up. I went back to them and asked them to fix it, and when I picked it up it was better and I had to go out of town. When I got back I took it to get it aligned and the alignment shop told me the rear axle still was off. Back to Caliper again to get it fixed, at least they still took it even though a bit of time had passed but even their own alignment printout from the 2nd visit showed the thrust angle to be off. They claim they fixed the rear axle as much as was possible. Car drove pretty much straight but over time the thrust angle has gotten bad again so they must have done a poor job of fixing it. Now too much time has passed, I moved out of town and am stuck with a car that can't be properly aligned - thank you Caliber! ;-( read more

Had my car towed in and was told 1 week. 2 weeks max. They said Minor scratches and some bent bent control arms. They had the car 6 weeks. Charged me $3000+ to fix it and car was not fixed. They committed fraud and claimed they did the work but upon taking car to the dealer they did not do what they said. They also scammed my insurance to paint the entire bumper when there were no scratches to the bumper visible. Only some scratches to paint underneath car non visible unless you lay on ground. My car needed up getting totaled. So all the work they got paid for that they didn't even do made no sense. Basically they painted and polished a turd and tried to pass off as good. Dealership and investigators found an additional $7800 in damage and deemed total loss. read more

Long story short- was hit by another car at a light, and took my car to Caliber. After the car was returned to me, I was told there was something going on with the Check Engine Light, but that there was no actual problem with the engine. Engine light came on, and I couldn't pass state inspection once it expired. Had NO previous issues with my engine, whatsoever- in fact, had no problems with the car at all, prior to this accident/taking it to Caliber. To be fair, Caliber was not actually executing the repair, since my car was a hybrid- it was taken to Toyota of Denton, but Caliber should not have given me back my car with a NEW check engine light issue. They were responsible for the car being fixed, as THEY were the ones I took it to. After taking it back to Caliber, who then took it back to Toyota, I was quoted $800 to fix the issue with the check engine light. I declined, since I wasn't prepared to pay that much money for a repair, at the time. Took it back to Toyota a few months later, and was quoted $1500 for the repair, as they claimed something else was malfunctioning along with the "original issue." Paid for the repair, then THE NEXT DAY, the engine light came back on. So I'm convinced something was screwed up during the repair, which caused a malfunctioning check engine light. Car ran fine the whole time while the light was on, and I wasted money on useless "repairs" along with tickets for expired inspection that I couldn't pass. I refuse to do business with Caliber or Toyota of Denton, and I advise others to find other body shops. read more

The office personnel was great. But the actual repair was not so much. They replaced the passenger side rear door on my Honda Crosstour. They didn't blend the rear quarter panel and they color doesn't match. They left buffing compound in the window edges and jams. There's overspray on my windshield, roof and hood. All in all bad quality repair. I work at a reputable body shop but was too busy at the time to do the repairs myself. I will not take my car there again and do not recommend others too either. No response to fix any of my complaints after taking their survey. read more

No matter what industry you are in, customer service is both expensive and so hard to achieve. And when its done right, wow! Caliber Collision Center in Denton delivered a wonderful experience. The process worked as well as it could! The receptionist was calming, professional and very knowledgeable about Operations. Lots of smiles! Their business model allows for a Service Advisor who has extensive experience with the insurance company who will be funding the repair as well as Project Management. Adam was my Service Advisor and he was first of all a great communicator. During his daily calls to me, he provided up to date information about what progress had been made that day and reassurance. He was always positive, upbeat and professional. I particularly appreciated the business and personal connection that Adam and Caliber had cultivated with the towing company, insurance company and car rental agency (Enterprise). All of their staff worked pleasantly with each other and anticipated the customer's needs. I was not bothered with any of their billing as Adam coordinated these directly with each entity. Obviously there was trust that had been earned over a number of years. Before I picked up my car, I called Adam and asked him if anyone could pick me up at Enterprise after returning my rental car. He said to just drive to Caliber and he would take care of returning my rental: one stop shopping. I didn't expect this but I should have, knowing how thorough and profession Adam is. My car was repaired, detailed and cleaned...and delivered on time! The paint job is perfect, the stripe on the detail was replaced and perfectly matched, and the unaffected headlight cover was thoroughly cleaned! Adam must have had my car waxed because the finish is so shiny! I would recommend Caliber and Adam to anyone who desires a First Rate collision repair experience. This company has obviously invested in the best training, hired experienced and educated professionals, and built operations that provide, protect and maintains excellent customer service and outcome. read more

If you are looking for a body shop that produces quality results and has integrity you won't find it here. Upon the advice of my insurance carrier I brought the car to these people, they (the insurance company) assured me that the work would be done right and these people were trustworthy. When I dropped off the car I asked to see the parts that were replaced when picking up the car, I was assured that this would be done. When it came time to pick up the car they couldn't produce some of the parts, they were of course not replaced they were merely dressed up to look good. The paint didn't match on the repair to the rest of the car. They repainted the part, still it didn't match, they repainted a third time and it still didn't match. Truthfully, I don't think they repainted the part, they just said they did. In the end I reported the company to the Department of Insurance, I alleged fraud in that they charged for a new part and merely cleaned up the damaged one. In addition my insurance carrier took the car to another body shop and replaced the painted part with a new one and they are painting the new replacement part. Because they guaranteed my satisfaction with their recommended shop they got to pay for the repair twice. It probably cost them another thousand dollars. Still, it was a miserable experience and all because the incompetence and dishonesty of this shop. Stay as far away from these guys as you can if you value your car. Best regards to all. read more

Caliber Collision in Denton is GREAT! I picked up my car today and it was IMMACULATE! It was washed and the inside was vacuumed! I haven't seen my car in such great shape since I bought it. I was in a wreck that caused damage to the front and back of my car and they fixed everything on it. Everyone that works here is nice and friendly. Even the secretaries are very friendly. Adam (the guy assigned to my car) called me every day that my car was in the shop and left me a voicemail telling me what was happening to my car that day and when I should expect it back. When I called to check on it, he knew me by name and knew what was going on with my car. They are knowledgeable, nice, and do excellent work. If you get into a wreck, choose this repair center! Beware!! they don't use the car's manufacture' parts! My experience seemed great, car was repaired and finished on time. I thought everything was great. Six months later I hear a noise and took my car in to check it out. My drivers side stabilizer bar end link was loose. It was an "aftermarket part" NOT covered under warranty. This place overprices their services by about three times the amount that other places do. I had a minor scratch on the side of my car and they charged $`1200, where another place charged $300 and did a perfect job. They find ridiculous things to charge money for. Not only are they overpriced, they are very slow in completing the job. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Go find another repair place, save your money, and waste less time. read more

I put my car in this shop 11/21/13, it took them two weeks to get to taking apart the bumper and giving me an estimate. I recieved the estimate on 12/5/13. I heard nothing from them before calling on 1/9 and my representative was not present. He called the next day and did not leave a voicemail. Once I figured out where the number came from I called it back and he had said they have been working on the car and that the bumper was removed from the car. My response was the bumper was removed by dec, 5th, I was an update. He proceeded to tell me they had been backed up and had been working on the vehicle, I asked had they recieved the parts and he said yes to later tell me he needed to order them still. I drove by the shop and the car has not moved from its spot in early December with the trunk still cracked open and tied down. read more

I would never use them again. They took a week longer to do minor repairs and what they did had to be redone because of poor work. They don't communicate nor do they return phone calls. They told me they would make it right because i had to take 6 trips there that were not necessary, they did nothing for me. I am appalled at the lack of customer service at this location. Upon entering the business the receptionist was partaking in events that I find questionable in the workplace.The incompetence of the staff is laughable. I brought work to this company in order to repair a vehicle. A simple procedure or paint and slight minor repair. I was greeted by the advisor which I went over what I had intended to have repaired. He hesitantly told me he would have to ask his manager about a question. He returns from inside and informs me that they cannot assist me in my repairs!? What!? That sounds like someone not willing to help and/or trustworthy enough to have even this occupation. The advisor was of course lying because of his nervous demeanor. I have no respect for a manager that cannot even come out and give in his own words an explanation. The fact that they cannot even paint a bumper in fact scares me. If they wanted to make money they sure did not seem to act like it. I highly would advise anyone that wants a customer service that excels your expectations, this is not the place for you. My wife was recently involed in an accident when a diver ran a red light and hit her. The tow truck driver reccomended Caliber Collision on Elm St in Denton for the repairs. We had to take the car back for the 3RD time after they said it was complete after having the car for 32days. While leaving the shop AGAIN on her 3RD trip back to the shop my wife realized they had left her key fob out of her car. She started to make a turn around to go back and get it when she was involved in another accident. It was a block away from the shop on Elm Street. I called the shop and told them she had just been in another accident while making her way back to the shop AGAIN to get her key. The gentleman was the so gracious as to walk down the block and hand her her key and say he was sorry he forgot to put it back in the car and proceeded to walk back to the shop. After discussing the circumstances with the Manager and expressing my frustration about the lack of detail and follow up involed in their work that led my wife to keep returning to their establisment and how this could and should have been avoided if they would have done the work right not just the 1ST time or even the 2ND time but the 3RD time he said he would see what he could do about giving me a BREAK on the repairs now needed on the car again and please call him the next day. When I called back the following day to discuss the matter as he requested, HE ASK WHY I WAS CALLING! At this point I told him I would find another place to take the car. When we went to get the car he had already sent one of the wheels out to be repaired and tried to charge MORE for the same repair (without notifying us by the way) as he did the first time for the same repair. In short if you so choose to use this repair shop all I can say is GOOD LUCK!! read more
