After I picked up the car I got on I-90 and immediately heard a loud bang. I pulled over and my skid plates & wheel wells that I had just replaced myself were gone, they flew off. I notified the people here at Gerber and they took care of me again as I swore I saw nothing for me to hit (still do). When they were fixing the shields they showed me that I likely did hit something but were still going to take care of me. I believe they're right, something small just right after I picked it up. But they performed quality work again and put bolts instead of clips to hold it on. I will return here god forbid I have to. Two months later, I received a call from that same person who told me that I owed them for the repair. She went on to ask me if I was going to pay now, and let me know that if she had to call again, my account will go into collections. I told her that I did not receive a check from my insurance company, and reminded her that she had told me that my bill was paid in full. She said that the insurance company Could have direct deposited the money into my bank account. I said that I would check my bank account online and get back to her. I also let her know that I did not appreciate her comments about sending my account to collections. After confirming that the insurance company had indeed deposited the money Into my bank account, I called back and made full payment. I understand that the collision company needed to be made whole, but I think the situation could've been handled in a more professional manner. The clerk probably was told exactly what to say to me so I don't blame her because she was otherwise very pleasant.

Everything is computerized and organized, they interface with your insurance directly, and my car was done in a week, and at the exact time and date they told me -- a minor miracle for auto repair! The office was clean and organized, the reception person was great at her job and was more than happy to help out understanding insurance stuff, and my car looks good as new. The front right side of the vehicle was damaged. First, after the vehicle sat at their shop for weeks, they admitted on December 23rd that they did not even have a technician available to work on my car and couldn't provide a start date because they hadn't even started disassembly. Second, the estimates provided by this shop were highly questionable. The estimate jumped from $20k to over $33k without any work being performed. Most concerning was that they included "damages" to tires and rims on the left side of my vehicle--a side that was never involved in the accident. When I sought a second opinion from a BMW certified shop, they confirmed that the "mechanical issues" (specifically a steering shaft replacement) Northside claimed were necessary were not supported by the test results. It felt as though this shop was working in tandem with the insurance company to inflate the estimate just enough to "total" the vehicle rather than repair it. Between the lack of staffing, the inconsistent communication from Marie, Christopher, the manager Nate, and the inaccurate damage reports, I would strongly caution anyone--especially those with luxury vehicles--against using this facility.
