I found Caliber to be efficient, well organized and the end product looked great.Aaron walked me through the whole process and met with me to examine the car and deal with the insurance company. He estimated how long the collision repair would take. It was completed at the time he had told me. He called me and gave me an update and progress report. I recently visited Caliber Collision on Midlothian with a friend to drop off her car for repairs, and unfortunately the customer service left a lot to be desired. The front desk staff came across as very monotone and unwelcoming. There was no greeting beyond the basics--no smile, no small talk, and no effort to make us feel comfortable as customers. I understand that everyone has off days, but first impressions matter, especially in a customer-facing role. A simple "how are you today?" or a friendly attitude can go a long way in making clients feel valued. Instead, the interaction felt cold and transactional. I hope management takes this as an opportunity to improve the overall customer experience, because a more welcoming and personable approach would make a big difference. Upon calling, someone picks up and places you on hold. The hold time is very lengthy. Upon someone answering, they have an attitude. I could envision the person snapping their fingers in the Z formation as she spoke to me. She was very unprofessional. The service advisor, Eric, is a piece of work too. He refuses to accept calls when a customer contacts them. Never had any issues with my vehicle until it was in a collision. After 38 days or so being in the hands of Caliber Collision, I get the car back and go down the street and the check engine light is on. Instead of Eric handling up and taking care of this. I'm told to take my car to the car dealer and have them fix the problem. Yet, Eric claims there's loose wires. If that's the case , then tighten them since you and your staff caused this issue. Now, I'm stuck for paying something that I should NOT have to pay. When a customer calls, you should answer the call rather that pretending to be busy or not there. It's evident that you don't care about customers and all about the money. Perfectly great car until Eric and his team got a hold of it. I hate that I ever took my car here. Stand by your warranty! Do not...do not...do not patronize Caliber Collision. You'll be very disappointed if you do. read more

Would not recommend going here. I only picked this chain because my insurance adjuster said they would be able to fix my vehicle the most quickly around the holidays after I got hit by a deer. After having my car for a few weeks they gave me an estimated repair date of a few weeks, but when they finally actually looked at my car they told me it was totaled. Not only did they not fully inspect my car the first time, but when I went to retrieve the items out of my car they could not locate my car keys and they had misplaced the entire front bumper of my car even though they had multiple days notice that I was coming from work for the sole purpose of getting my license plates. Staff was completely unprofessional and gossiped about work drama while I was waiting patiently for them to find my car items so I could get back to my job. I wish I could give negative stars. read more

My car was hit on the passenger side from the back bumper to the front bumper I had a huge dent. I took it to Caliber Collision because it was recommended by my insurance company Allstate. Worst decision! Not only are the employees rude. My car has been in the shop for a month and the pickup date has change over three times. They continue to give me the run around when I ask what's holding my car up. The mangers are no better. Go somewhere else and save yourself the headache! I guarantee they have had my car sitting with no working being done on it that's the only explanation. I wish I could give them negative stars! read more

I want to be fair with this explanation but definitely honest with my experience with this company. Truth be told , they did an amazing job with the damage that I had them attend to under my insurance claim. They even took care of a few other nicks that they saw that weren't part of the damage. However, they caused a few extra scratches that I and Josh (my point of contact) noticed when I brought it back the day after picking it up. (NO I DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR ANYWHERE TO HAVE THESE SCRATCHES). He agreed that they were more than likely caused there and said to bring it back to fix the issues. THIS AUTOMATICALLY DROPPED THEM TO A 3 AT BEST. In the time I had it back with them, they failed to keep me informed of the progress and failed to relay messages that I left for Josh. At this point I had been without my car for about 2 weeks for the touch up which is a week longer than when they said it would be ready. Once I finally got in touch with my point of contact he informed me that the touch up paint didn't blend well with the rest and the type of paint that blends well, won't stay on beyond a good wash because that type paint isn't made for touch up work. Needless to say, the scratches they caused never got painted but at this point, I just wanted my car back. I go to pick it up using my spare key and notice a few more scuffs and that they didn't have my doors locked. THESE ISSUES CAUSED ME TO DROP THEM TO A 2. Sadly, them causing extra damage to vehicles is a constant issue according to other patrons of the business and although I understand the short staffing due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, their customer service needs some work. read more

Came to this place a while ago because I was involved in an accident. Despite having insurance paying for all the repairs they still managed to chip and drip paint on my car and left TONS of this mysterious black gunk all over my car (I cleaned that up immediately, so no photos for that.) They also left trash in my car. In addition it also looked like they scuffed the hood of my car for no reason whatsoever, the hood was untouched from the accident so I don't know why they'd mess with it to begin with. This was the SECOND Caliber Collision i've gone to where they've severely messed up the paint job as well. You're better off having your toddler touch up your car with acrylic paint than this place. Not to mention when I tried pointing these issues out to them the dude just shrugged it off. Will never be coming back to any of these places and if anything i've been telling everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. Thanks ! read more

It has now been 5 (yes, that is five) times that I have attempted to get Caliber Collision to repair the issues they have caused to my vehicle. During my last visit on June 30, 2023 for the 4th attempt to have issues addressed to no avail, I asked for something in writing stating that they would pay for me to take my car to a different body shop to have my concerns addressed and they refused stating that I could have them repair the problems or use a different Caliber Collision. From the beginning, this experience with Caliber has not been a good one. The time needed for repairs took longer than my rental coverage allowance which was a huge issue. The day I went to pick up my car (the first attempt), there was several areas on the vehicle in need of repair. I was told that since they had to replace the roof of the car that they had to take all the doors out of my car. There were dents and dings on the doors, an area on the rear quarter panel, white paint spilled on the passenger side interior door panel, and greasy grimy finger prints ALL Over the headliner on the interior. Id addition, the tire light was on and when I brought that to their attention, they discovered that there was a piece of metal in the side wall of my tire from their shop and my tire needed to be replaced. I was told that they would contact me with a day and time to bring my vehicle back to them so that they could address all of the defects and that they would pay for a rental car for me to drive while they addressed all of the issues. In addition, I had to drive my car to Discount Tire to have my tire replaced which Caliber paid for on a credit card. I am attaching a video of the damage to my car following that visit. When I took my car back for the above mentioned repairs, I was provided with a rental car and was told that they would be taking my car to a detailer that they have used in the past to address the spilled paint and the headliner issue and that they would then bring my car back to their shop to address the door damages and damage to the rear quarter panel and that they would return my car to me as soon as possible. A week and a half or so later, I received a call that my vehicle was ready. I returned their rental car to them with a full tank of gas and proceeded to do a walk around with Eric. The headliner and paint from the interior was cleaned to my satisfaction and the damage to the rear quarter panel was repaired, however one of the large scratches on the door was still there. Eric took my car back to their shop area to buff it out and returned about 30 minutes later saying he apologized, but they burnt thru the paint down to the bare metal when trying to buff out the scratch and would need to repaint the entire door. I was given the rental car back and was told they would call mw when the issue was resolved. Approximately a week later, I received a call stating that my car was ready for pick up. I again returned the rental car with a full tank of gas and when Eric and I walked out to look at my car, there was trash in the paint and orange peel from a very poor paint job. In addition, it was discovered that there was either a tape line OR an area on the passenger side rear door jamb where the door was closed when the paint was still wet. I told Eric and Tori that there seemed to be NO quality control and that I honestly believed that they were hoping I would not say anything. I told them I was hesitant to leave my vehicle with them for a 4th time and was told by Tori and Eric that I could bring my car back on June 30th at 10am so they could have a specific technician look at it and make the necessary repairs... I reluctantly agreed and scheduled to take time off from work in order to have the issues corrected. See attached photos. I also requested a letter in writing stating our agreed to appointment as I had ZERO confidence in them at this point. On the 30th, I arrived for my appointment to have my concerns addressed. I gave Eric my keys and they took my car to their shop. Approximately an hour and a half later, Eric came back and handed me my keys. He said that Tori would be joining us to look over my car... I walked over to my car and NOTHING had been done. Eric said that they could not buff out the trash in the paint without burning thru the paint again and they also did not address the area on the inside of the passenger side rear door either. They said that they would have to repaint the entire door to address it. I told them that I took off of work because they said it would be fixed that day! I told them that I had NO CONFIDENCE in them at all after four attempts to make it right and that I wanted to take my car somewhere else to have the issue taken care of. They said they would not pay for repairs to be made elsewhere and that I could leave my car with them or take it to a different Caliber location. No way!!! I also just found that their BBB accreditation was revoked when I filed a complaint - Buyer Beware!!! read more

Ok, I will keep this review fair. Overall they did a good job. However, when I picked the car up I notice a mark which I know was not there before I brought the car to them. I was told the placement of my mirror bracket was off lining so this was causing the mark not to be seen. So when they lined the bracket up correctly it causes the mark to show. I really don't believe this to be the case, but now I'm leaving a collision business with a small section of chipped paint which was not there prior. 2nd, there was another section which happen during the incident which was a very simple fix which they are telling me was already there when I know for a fact it happen during the incident. I wash this car at least 1-2 times a week depending on weather. For as much work which was done I don't feel I should have to pull teeth to have something so small fixed. And last I didn't get that warm and fuzzy feeling with the customer service. As polite as I tried to be I was giving the feeling I was getting on their nerves. I have taking cars here before but this visit was far far below the service I'm use too. I guess restaurants were not the only thing affected by the pandemic. read more

False Statements Very poor communicational skills, Called to check status, with no return calls for over two weeks. After requesting to speak with a manager, I received my first return call. I was told my part was not available at Lacy's (auto recycler), and that my Geico adjuster checked online and did not confirm with a phone call. This was a lie! My Geico adjuster noted (available) on the paperwork, and I called Lacy's and the part is available and waiting for pickup with my claim # on it. I spoke with the Manager, he assured me he would get the part and call within two business days. Day 6 still no call. read more

I will be honest, my experience was not good. I was recommended here by my insurance company after a semi truck drove into my stationary car which resulted in me needing a new door, side view mirror, and a fix of the back quarter panel. I was given a time to bring it in very quickly (less than a week after the incident) which was great since I had to drive from VA to MA 2 weeks from then. I dropped it off and had a rental car on sight which was good and given an expected pick-up of early the following week after leaving my car there on a Monday. Right after I left the lot the rental car had the change oil soon light come on which was no big deal since I would have my car back before the trip. That Friday I received a call that my car would be ready on Wednesday of the upcoming week, so I took time to leave work early and head down to pick my car up. I called at 3:45PM on the Wednesday I was to pick up my car and was told it was in clean up and would be ready in 30 minutes. I left at 4 to go retrieve my car and was called 8 minutes down the road by my insurance agent saying the "new" door had dents in it that needed to be fixed so it would be ready tomorrow, guaranteed. Thursday comes and I have to take more time to leave, I call at 3:45PM again to confirm that my car will be ready and was told it would be, no doubt. I left at 4PM and was called at 4:25PM to be told that the paint had not been applied properly, so it would be ready first thing Friday morning. I informed him that it would be problematic for me because I had planned on getting my car's oil changed prior to the trip on Thursday, then Friday and now had no way to do it, so they said that there would be an oil change performed for me. I arrived at the shop on Friday before my journey to MA on Saturday and was told they had just finished with my car, but that is fine, it was done. I went to inspect the car and noticed that the CAMARO emblem on the front quarter panel was missing and the side view mirror that was supposed to be new was scratched up. Unfortunately at this point I had no time so I drove it to MA as it was, being told that I could bring it back once I returned. The thought of my new side mirror being scratched up bothered me, since it was new, so I decided to look around a little closer. I discovered upon looking where the door attaches to the car that the hinges were left yellow, meaning my door was a salvaged door of a totaled Camaro explaining the dents and mirror. Also, I neglected to notice that my rear bumper was not affixed properly, I did not even think to look at the rear of the car since there was no damage there but it was placed on so that there was a panel gap I could see down behind the bumper through. The week after I returned I brought my car down on a Wednesday and had them take a look, they agreed to fix it all and told me I could drop it off on the following Wed or Thurs. They said it would only take maybe one hour to fix it all. I asked them if they already had a new mirror on hand since it would need to be replaced. They told me they were going to polish it. Polish a mirror, let that sink in. Since I am pretty well versed when it comes to detailing cars I told them flat out that polishing a mirror on't fix it. Well, middle of the day I get a phone call, the car won't be ready, shockingly the mirror needs to be replaced, polishing it wouldn't work. A few days later my car is finally done...again. This time the hinges are painted and my mirror is fixed, however my door rattles when it is shut and the clear-coat on the outside is scratched. At this point I have had my fill with them so I took my car knowing I could polish out the clear-coat scratches and the rattling I could deal with. I really just didn't want them to touch my car again. Don't bring your car here, it is a mistake. read more

I was involved in accident that was not my fault. The person who hit me happens to be a close friend of mine, so we both wanted to go with the cheapest option for him, either out of pocket or through insurance. I went in to caliber collisions for an estimate, and after looking at the damage they gave me an estimate for $630. I was very happy with this evaluation, and told the man who looked at my car that this estimate was much better than another body shop that would have charged me over $2000. Now admittedly, this was not the best thing to say to a person who wants your money, but I didn't think much of it at the time. He immediately said that he wanted to look at the car again, and after standing next to my car for another five minutes, he came back with an estimate for $1350, more than doubling the original price. This man lied to my face and tried to gouge me for a repair that should have cost $600. I have never been more disrespected at a business in my life. Although I'm sure not all caliber employees are this dishonest, I will never recommend their business. read more

I had to get my car fixed due to accident. My insurance picked this shop. The process took two weeks for the parts and the paint. (Now this may be a normal time frame) but it was a very long time to go without my car. I was updated throughout most of the process till the end. I was told it was impossible for them to tell me when my car would be done on the day they said it would be done. I work two jobs and go in at 5:00. I asked them would if it be done by then, and was told it was in the clean up process. I never received a call back. My point of contact was out of the shop and never called me to tell me it was finished on the day it was scheduled to be done. When I called the next day ( one day after it was supposed to be done) I was met with an extremely rude tone saying it wasn't finished. I asked if it was delayed because I went to work and was not able to pick it up on the schedule day that it was supposed to be finished. The response from the case manager was one you give when scolding a child. I have never been spoken to so rudely by a place of business. It made absolutely NO sense that my car was not completed. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere that cares about their customers. Never again. read more

CALIBER COLLISION LIVES UP TO THE EXPECTATION THAT WE ALL HAVE OF AUTO REPAIR SHOPS: UNTRUSTWORTHY AND SHADY BUSINESS DEALINGS. I was in an accident through no fault of my own in May 2016. I brought my vehicle to Caliber at the suggestion of a friend. They took over three weeks to repair my car from a fender bender. When I picked up my vehicle, I couldn't help but notice my keys had "rental" written on them leading me to believe I may have been less of a priority because I was granted a rental car by the insurance company. What they didn't know is the further inconvenience this caused, driving a compact car for three weeks as opposed to my mid-size SUV. I had accepted the compact car based on the original time frame I was given for the repair not on the endless extensions and excuses Caliber gave me once my vehicle was in their possession. Had it not been for the phone call I received in mid- December-- MORE THAN 6 MONTHS AFTER I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE-- I may not be writing this post. Shortly before Christmas 2016 , I get a PHONE CALL, not a bill in the mail, saying I owe them over $500. Excuse me? Apparently, the over $3,000 they collected from Geico wasn't payment in full for my fender bender and they should have collected the $500 check Geico issued me for estimated damages. Had they collected that from me the day I picked up my car or sent a bill to me the week or month I picked up my car, I would have been happy to write them a check as I do for all of my bills but after 6 months? I informed the gentleman that this sounded more like their bad bookkeeping and that at this point, 6 months later, that money had been spent and they would just have to eat the cost. Naturally, that $500 was worth more than my future business and that of my entire family, friends and professional network because in January of 2017 I received a letter-- not a bill-- stating that if I failed to pay this sudden, unexpected balance, they would take me to court and send me to collections and that folks, is just the way they do business at Caliber Collision. Don't be surprised if you get a phone call over a trumped up bill you didn't even know you had 6 months after you pick up your vehicle. read more
