Update: Apparently my post has been removed due to "crossing the line" however I wanted to address my concerns and repost/update this in the nicest way possible due to this location being my worst experience ever and hoping that I can save anyone who's struggled with auto body shops in the past..... Please avoid coming here at all cost. I'm not one to give out bad reviews but I guess today's my lucky day. Regarding customer service, that is something that's lacking and can be improved on. First and most foremost, one of the staff members named Sam was completely rude, please watch out for this white Caucasian lady. Upon arrival and waiting in my car for my husband, I spoke with this rude staff member. Apparently, green and red stickers get placed on your car with what's related to the accident and what's not related.(GREEN is related & Red is not) I stated to Sam, there shouldn't be any red stickers on this car, any damages/scratches that is shown/noticeable "IS" related to the accident my husband had been in. Mind you, he hasn't even had this car for 2 full months in which by the way is brand new. Then Sam replies oh these marks as you can see are knit knacks and was already here. In response, I mention that the car is completely brand new and if reaching out to the dealership from where he purchased the car is needed then, I be glad to do so. She responded "no, that's not necessary. At this point, I'm furious and annoyed. Like what Knick. Knack?? THE CAR IS BRAND NEW.... Long story short, please avoid Sam at all cost. She's incompetent, rude, and clearly does not know how to do her job. Because my husband drives a Tesla, this was the only location that was Tesla certified to get his car fixed. Luckily we were able to find another shop to help purchase us manufactured items for the car to be fixed so moving forward, we then call them back for all requests to be put on hold due to finding a different location. The texts update function was definitely not my cup of tea. Sam stated she would reach out every Tuesday/Thursday to give us updates however failed to do her job. I shouldn't have to feel like a burden when calling daily for an update on my own car. Not sure why Sam appeared to be annoyed with us when you failed to do your job. Another problem that I faced was the representative Sam failed to let me know about the details of my policy until after my car has been broken down for repairs. In act of best practice, she should've let me know that my policy did not cover original manufacture parts before my car was disassembled. She waited until my vehicle was disassembled before letting me know this information. They ended up trying to charge me $700 extra to pay the difference out of pocket for my policy after 2 weeks in the shop. BE AWARE and Review your policy before coming here because they will withhold information until the last minute prompting you to pay more money. Ain't no way this place has 4 1/2 stars with the experience I had. Although I did not have the best experience here, I would like to thank Kathy for ending our trip here off a good note. read more

Horrible experience at Caliber Collision When I first dropped off my car, the front desk staff and estimator were extremely nice and helpful -- but unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I did have to wait over an hour just to drop off my car, but I was willing to overlook that at first. My major issue came later. When I dropped off my car, I was clearly told that I did not owe anything, and the paperwork I was given also stated this. Since my car was hit by another driver and I was not at fault, I assumed everything had been settled through insurance and left my car for repairs. However, when I went to pick up my car, I was suddenly told I owed a $1,000 deductible and that my car would not be released until I paid it. This kind of information should absolutely be disclosed to the customer before repairs are completed, not after. I could have dealt with the misunderstanding if the situation had been handled professionally -- but the so-called "manager" they brought out was shockingly rude and disrespectful. As I tried to explain what I was told during drop-off, he interrupted me repeatedly, saying things like, "So you don't understand how insurance works then?" and "You think repairs are just free?" At one point he even accused me of "playing dumb." When I tried again to calmly explain my side, he cut me off with, "Well just keep the car then and figure it out with your insurance company." This was late on a Friday, leaving me without a car for the entire weekend. When I mentioned to the front desk that I now had to walk home for over an hour, the manager actually laughed from his office. This kind of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior is completely unacceptable. I've never been treated so poorly by any repair shop, especially one that claims to value customer service. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location -- the communication is terrible, and the management clearly has no regard for treating customers with basic respect. read more

Utterly unimpressive. It's likely this company suffers from the complacency of steady income from insurance, and they've lost their competitive drive. Avoid them if you can. Pros: - The dent was fixed. It looks professionally done. - The lower-level admin staff were polite. Cons (generally chronological): - Service staff was rude, and this wasn't limited to one. When we dropped the vehicle off, the service tech was our first interaction, and he was immediately abrasive, didn't have the insurance information he should have had, provided us a bad email to send it to him, and then accosted us for his own mistake. My own interactions with our assigned tech were similarly unprofessional, to the point I had to tell him to stop interrupting me and eventually gave up on working with him. The text "updates" they provide are useless. We didn't receive an approximate date of completion for four days, and only got one because we had to aggressively seek updates. - Time. The job was set for two weeks for a minimal dent (about the size of a softball) on the back gate. I'm sympathetic that with new cars, jobs are not as simple as they once were (hence the cost), but CC was a big contributor. First, they had us drop the vehicle off at the Sacramento location that doesn't work on Teslas (they never told us this), so the vehicle sat unattended an entire day and was eventually towed to Roseville (risking additional damage). Second, they clearly struggled with insurance and didn't have the information they needed (more on this below). Third, they requested our approval on three separate occasions, and two of those were prompted by our calls asking for updates--who knows how long the car sat in the interim. Not shockingly, they were miraculously able to expedite the job after about a week after we repeatedly complained. - Collaboration with insurance. As mentioned above, CC didn't have the documents they needed from insurance and blamed us for this (even though they never requested them). Their initial quote was absurdly low (we talked to several other shops before going through insurance), and of course had to be drastically adjusted after-the-fact. As noted earlier, this also contributed to the delay. - Related to the above, CC called us nearly two months (!) after the job was complete and said we owed them an additional $300. As background, when we picked up the car, we paid what they requested (our deductible) and understood our interaction to be complete as any reasonable person would. They later explained this was our insurance's fault or our fault, but certainly took no accountability themselves. On the voicemail alerting us to this newfound deficit--despite never speaking to us about this before and there being no reason for us to know--a manager threatened to send us to collections if we didn't pay. This caused us over an hour of needing to verify this with insurance before eventually dealing with it (obviously we had to verify because as reflected above, CC's incompetence could not be trusted). - Random failings. As just a sample, when we picked the car up, the transaction took much longer than it should have because none of their credit card machines were working. When we eventually got the car, the floor mats were missing, which later had to be dropped off at the house. (Were they the same ones? Doubtful.) Conclusion: This company is a mess. Do not work with them if you can help it. read more

Title: More Caliber Than I Deserved -- 5 Stars for Sam H. the Parts Wizard Let me just say this: I walked into Caliber Collision expecting to be judged for backing my Jeep into a pole that I installed in my own driveway. Instead, I was greeted by Sam H, the parts guru who treated my dignity with the same care she gives a precision-milled fender. Sam H didn't flinch when I said, "I need a back bumper, a left headlight, and a new sense of self-worth." She nodded solemnly, typed something into the computer like she was decoding the Matrix, and said, "We got you." Just like that. She explained everything with the patience of a saint and the enthusiasm of someone who really likes car parts -- like, might-name-her-kid-Torque level enthusiasm. She even threw in a fun fact about how my car's bumper was originally designed to deflect low-speed impact, which I guess means I'm using it correctly? Bonus: She didn't try to upsell me on windshield wipers even though mine looked like spaghetti noodles. Respect. My wife took her Tesla for a parking sensor the piece is only $189. They charged us 800 then upon getting our car back they busted the line in the hydraulic system and broke our axle. We got the car back wobbling and now they refuse to service our car and restore it to its original condition I would not recommend this place. They've done nothing but lie and avoid taking responsibility for their negligence. We will be pursuing lawsuit. Update now upon seeing the review you've had one of your managers call us and he talked to my wife on the phone and called us liars and then hung up on her at this point It's zero recommendations, anyone reading this review I would advise you not to use this caliber, I have had other calibers very good customer service And work ethics but do not recommend this one. Took my jeep in for a rear BUMPER repair, came out with a CRACK in the windshield almost a foot long. Caliber is refusing to accept responsibility for this and told me to file a new insurance claim. The manager Kurt Barstad was very dismissive and unwilling to accept any responsibility saying caliber will not be helping with this repair and it is a known risk of repairs and the only option I had was to file a new claim and bring it back for repairs. Will never be giving any business to this location as they do not care for the customer or body of work that they do. read more

My insurance gave me the option for repair at a location near me so I chose Caliber Collision in Natomas. Apparently they are not Tesla certified, so the Natomas Location sent it to their Roseville location. The issue was a scratch at the driver side of the back bumper. They fixed the scratch but the red paint did not match, it was darker. We complained and requested they fix the color. They "fixed" it in two days. When we got the car back we noticed the color near the body panel did closely match the bumper while just a few inches lower it was still darker but now also came with a black shadow inside the paint. We can clearly see where they buffed the paint. Not only that but the paint had ripples in it. They clearly just buffed or repainted the area of the bumper that was next to the side panel so that the contrast wouldn't be so obvious. To top it off we found a new deep scratch down on the passenger side door. We took the car as we no longer trust they will repair it. I doubt they care, they've already been paid. The experience has been so frustrating. They take no pride in their work and probably just hope people won't notice their crappy work. I don't recommend this location. read more

They communicated well throughout the process and once they got approval from my insurance, they got to work right away. Honestly, it looks better than when it came in. Paint match looks flawless and it was clean and prepped for me the day I was expecting it. You honestly don't want to end up at a body shop, but when you do, you want to be sure it's a place that does great work, does it quickly and deals with all the insurance headache for you. I've recently received excellent service from, Erik Batres, service advisor, who went far beyond what I expected when taking my car in for service. I had been told by a local mobile detail company that the white scuff from a car that hit me in a parking lot could not be buffed out. I took my car to Calliber Collision expecting I would need to leave my car for repair work. Erik took a look, ask me to wait in the customer lounge area. I would never in my years of owning a car take it to this "autobody shop" ever. Kept my car for a long ass time nothing. It was just cosmetic paint repair nothing else. Took a whole entire month. Quality control was trash, no detail, marks smudges, even this adhesive was left all over the car. Called them Friday and no response from Eric who was the one communicating with me. I now need a new hatch strut, spoiler lip is coming off, my back cover for the hatch isn't secure either. Nothing about this statement is an opinion. This is all factual. Having to take your car in for repairs is always the last thing one has to do. But the staff at Calibur Collision were absolutely incredible!!!! Matthew and Amy kept me informed throughout the process with personal phone calls as well as a texting option to notify me of the process and updates. I was also surprised to have my car repaired and available to pick up after 2 days!! Regan was the main receptionist who scheduled me for all my appointments and she is wonderful!!! I feel like I made a new best friend! Regan was especially compassionate when I had to reschedule my drop off due to my cat passing away and she spent extra time talking to me about animals and pets and just really tried to lift my heavy heart (which she did). Someone hit my parked Tesla and damaged the front driver side fender and wheel area. The nearest Tesla-certified repair shop 5-miles from me was not taking any new tow-ins. After searching online for another authorized location with good reviews that was accepting new tow-ins, I found Caliber, even though they are 30 miles away. Already stressed out about this situation, I was very relieved after speaking with my estimator Shakira and felt like I was in very capable hands. Despite receiving several other Teslas that same day, she really took her time to explain the whole process to me. I knew I had to wait in line to get my car assessed for damages first. I received text updates every Tuesday and Thursday. I was able to respond to the texts which was very convenient for me, and I could also call if I wanted to talk to Shakira right away or if I had questions. Shakira always made time for me and never made me feel rushed. It took some time after the initial assessment and quote to get approved by insurance before any work could get done. Because the other party at fault was under-insured, I had to go through my own insurance. Caliber fought to get all Tesla branded parts since my insurance initially denied it and wanted to lower the quote with after-market parts. Shakira got her managers involved to work it out with my insurance. Once the quote was finally approved, the parts were ordered and I was updated with ETA based on when parts arrived. Caliber seemed very organized and efficient as far as getting all the different parts of the repair lined up based on when parts arrived. Once the repairs were done they went through stringent testing to make sure all the electronics and alignment were restored to the original condition. They have in-house painters to color match all the parts since the Tesla parts come unpainted. They work on a lot of Teslas so it is very reassuring that they know what they're doing. My car was actually ready about 2 weeks sooner than the estimated completion date. I also love that there is a warrantee for their workmanship. Service was above and beyond, special shout out to Shakira who was so sweet and made this unfortunate situation into a pleasant interaction. read more

Chris Keeler has been in this business since his teen years. He is knowledgeable and responds quickly to messages and is very honest with the repairs. He is very personable and easy to work with. Margaret is very kind as well. She answered all my questions patiently. I was only disappointed with the transition of ownership between Honda and Caliber as they changed owners right as I was ready to start repairs. I could not reach the person who did the initial estimate, Philip Tarin, and he did not return my emails for 3 weeks. I finally called and found that they did not have access to the original information and they never received my emails. Since he had no record of the estimate, I ended up wasting a trip driving there. The transition wasted time and made me lose confidence in Philip, who was not very apologetic about the situation.
