They ordered a part for my car after looking at the vehicle. This part then had to be painted so it was about $450 all together. They get the part, I drive an hour to bring the vehicle there, they try to put it on and it's the wrong part. They then order the right part and then tell me I have to pay an additional $150 for the new part even though they are the ones that messed up and ordered the wrong part. Anita (front desk) is a very nice person which is why I left 2 stars. She apologized to me for ordering the wrong part and that it was her mistake. She told me they ordered the correct one and that she would talk to the owner about not having to pay the additional $150 for the new part. I called her back about scheduling and I assume the owner did not want to take fault and eat the $150 so she shifted the blame to the person at Toyota that she called to order the part from and I was charged the $150. Wasn't worth arguing about as I needed the vehicle to be safe to drive and decided to leave a review instead. The service was very fast but not taking accountability or providing any customer service on a mistake that they made, left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

My "baby" (AKA my car - ha!) was involved in a hit & run accident a couple months ago. I found the driver of the other car and made a claim through their insurance company (quite the challenge, I'll add). Anyway, I'm new to the area and had to resort to an internet search for a body shop to do the work. FORTUNATELY I found The Auto Body People!! As others have stated Dan was great! I believe Dan was building cars out of sticks when he was 4 years old. He fixed a rear trunk lock when other shops were afraid to tackle it. we have used his services several times over the years and found him to be reasonably priced. I'm not sure if they painted my whole panel per the request or if they just repaired the damaged clear coat. The paint has fine swirls in it And honestly doesn't look like a fresh coat of paint. Also they did not detail or lay down anything inside my car so there were scuff marks all over The inside of my car. read more

Dan and the folks at Auto Body People deserve some kind of award or trophy for the level of service and the quality of work that they deliver. Estimates from two different body shops, both large national chains, were uncomfortably high. The Auto Body People came in with a repair estimate far less than the Big Guys. Much, much less. They took over 3 weeks to replace a bumper, a $1400 repair on an American vehicle. I had a scheduled appointment and they did not even look at the car for 2 weeks. After 3 weeks when the car was promised to be finished they did not have the parts so it took 3 days longer! Sheryl was not communicative of what was going on and provided no answers or updates, if I was able to even reach her. She would not call me back when I would leave messages for her. After complaining how long it was taking Sheryl tried to blame it on the insurance adjuster for not approving the parts, which was totally false. The adjuster approved it the same day it was sent to him. Terrible customer service! I do not recommend! read more

I asked him how long it will take. He said about an hour. I told him today was my day off, but I could come back next week. He looked at me and said, "Let's do it today, because today is your day off." I am in disbelief. What customer service! He immediately called for the parts. I scratched the lower passenger side on a short cement pillar. They repaired and painted it quickly, the price was very reasonable, and it all looks like new.
