They offered to take another look. So I can waste another day, take the day off work and have the same result? The gaps in the body were not there before my repair. I was told the previous repairers used the wrong clips to fuse the body panels. So why not obtain the correct clips and do the repair properly. The clips are apparently cheap and I was charged almost $3,000. The gaps are now worse than ever. Now I have to go to a body shop read more

Our car suddenly died, and with our AAA insurance, we had it towed to this AAA repair shop to have it looked at. The tow truck operator was friendly and very helpful. When we received a call about our car... it was good news and bad. Good, because they didn't find anything wrong with the car. Bad, because... what the heck is wrong with the car! It suddenly started up with no issues. When we finally arrived to pick up our car, the amount was $157. With a handy coupon book that Nick at AAA has available, we were able to get 50% off our bill. I've been taking my car here for years, primarily for larger repairs outside of a standard maintenance (oil changes, etc.). I have an older 4Runner with high miles and with age and high miles parts are starting to fail. The advisors here are all understanding and also very knowledgeable. My most recent visit in was for a rough vibration. The tech quickly completed the initial inspection and I was contact right away by the advisor who talked me through all of the findings. Due to age and mileage on my car the advisor knew the reason for why my car was in and recommended replacing the two items that would fix the vibration. He was honest and answered any questions I had about the other items that were found. They performed the necessary repairs and I drove away but felt a rough idle. I brought it back to the shop and talked to the advisor about the rough idle and there was a sense of urgency to grab the technician to see what it could be. I wasn't asked to wait or to schedule another appointment, they quickly came out and looked at the car and explained to me that with the repair made the car has to relearn the idle. After driving a few miles the rough idle went away and the car is driving like new. I trust this shop and all other AAA auto repair shops. To me this isn't just another car repair location. They truly value the customer and want to ensure that each customer is treated fairly and with respect. Justin clay the advisor was great! Vladimir the tech did a great inspection. Ironically an insurance adjuster at Caliber suggested using AAA. He was leaving for a new job and thought AAA would be an affordable, fair shop for its members. I spent an inordinate amount of time before the oil change giving information about the car, VIN number, my details and then had to repeat it all when I got there. I asked for the man I had spoken to, but was told he had to leave. The franchise's owner was now handling the oil change. It was 100. more than I had been told. I would never return to the Rocklin location and have dropped AAA after 26 years. AVOID this business. read more

Recently, we took our 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 in to AAA Rocklin Auto Repair Center to be serviced. Walter and his team of mechanics did an exceptional job diagnosing the problem. They replaced the parts, but due to no fault of their own, one part was faulty. Walter immediately got the truck back in the shop and fixed the issue. They were responsive to our concerns, kept us updated every step along the way, and had excellent attention to detail. All while being friendly and courteous. They weren't satisfied until we were. This is also the first shop that has dialed in the alignment correctly. The truck drives and handles like it did when it was new. I highly recommend AAA Auto Repair Center in Rocklin. I hope not to need a mechanic anytime soon, but if I do, this is where I will take it. read more

Horrible. Despite trusting AAA roadside service for decades, their reputation built through the years has NOTHING to do with their auto repair service centers. They completely botched a timing and fan belt replacement for our family minivan. Several months later, with inexplicable sounds, uneven RPM/power, and dash warning lights, the auto dealer was able to show the job was done incorrectly, causing collateral damage and necessitating the job be done all over again (a more than $1K job!). The dealer service manager with more than 20 years in the business even took photos of evidence and personally phoned the AAA manager seeing if, on our behalf by validating the problems, they might offer some resolution for us. He'd rarely seen incompetence like the work AAA did on our car and had NEVER been spoken to like he was that day by a fellow mechanic or service advisor. Needless to say, AAA denied they did anything wrong and refused mitigation. Our family will be sticking to tow trucks and battery replacements when it comes to AAA. Car trouble? Go to AAA Rocklin Auto Repair. I rarely write reviews but this time I had to. A year ago they repaired my oil sensor. The part failed so I took it back in. They replaced the part in record time with no charge since it was under warranty. I've had other places replace a part since it was under warranty but still charge for the labor. I dealt with Nick from beginning to end. He was great, even stayed later after closing to give me a chance to pick my truck up. Went above and beyond. It's one of those "who's on first" reviews. I lack confidence in "who dunnit." I had to pay $675 for what I thought should have been an inexpensive repair. Was I oversold by AAA or was it Ford's expensive planned obsolescence? Did I pay for a whole assembly rather than a cheap part? I have the new cap-less gas filler. Apparently, it was leaking so I couldn't pass my smog test on my 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The repair amount seemed ridiculous for a P0442 code system leak. Did they replace much more than the part that leaked? Only my hairdresser or my mechanic knows for sure. The service was fast, but I didn't ask for my parts and they wouldn't do a very simple rear lamp replacement for some ridiculous reason. In fact, they wouldn't do a lamp repair at all! Too much liability on a salvage vehicle, so AAA and others won't touch salvage cars these days. But that's a government abuse thing, so probably not AAA's fault, but a lousy policy to me. read more

Thank you, Walter and crew! Ran out of gas off Sierra College in Rocklin today and was told by 3A my wait time for roadside assistance would be 2 hours. The closest gas station did not sell gas cans so on a whim I called AAA Auto Repair on Schriber Way which was close by. Without even hesitating they asked where I was and within minutes Walter and another service center employee brought me a full gas can and got me going again! They would not accept any sort of payment for the gas and really went out of their way to help me. Their exceptional customer service and kindness says a lot about how this business is run. I absolutely love this repair facility! I am a senior citizen and it's important for me to find someone who cares enough to help me! I was having an issue with my vehicle, and had taken it to multiple shops including the dealer, and no one could figure it out, but these guys did so with a smile! I was 15 minutes late for my appointment, due to traffic, and the wonderful mechanic delayed his lunch to stay and do my inspection, and got me out in 30 minutes! David, at the front counter was so friendly and helpful! I truly appreciate his welcoming personality and helping me navigate the situation! Jason, District manager, was instrumental in organizing all of this and kept in constant contact with me making sure all my needs were meet! I received excellent customer service from start to finish from the entire staff at AAA! They were above and beyond my expectations! These AAA employees made my life so much easier! read more

I saw I was close to this AAA repair center, so I called and they were immediately available to help me. If you're a female in particular don't stop here. I was immediately met with mansplaining and disrespect because I actually knew what I was talking about. I got a nail in my tire from the highway and pulled off and into the closest gas station to check it out first. Pulled into AAA after seeing the nail, knowing it needed a patch. The general manager was at the desk. He told me they would triple check it could be patched before they did anything and quoted me $41 with tax. That price isn't bad but higher priced than most in this area. I was already there and needed to get back on the road so I agreed to the price. They took my tire off and pulled the nail out and then found "an issue" in the tire wall that wouldn't allow them to legally patch the tire but would warrant a replacement. They claimed in the beginning they didn't have any of my tires in stock because they don't usually carry them (one of the most common tires). Once they found "an issue" though they found a tire and quoted me $200+ for just that one. I told them not to touch anything because I wanted to call around. I called a few places and immediately the other shops laughed when they heard I was at AAA, a female, and my issues because they hear it a lot and get their customers often because of it. I found a place so I went back to the AAA office and told them I would be bringing it somewhere else. When I was out by my car I asked him if they were going to charge me for installing the spare. The guy was unsure so I told him not to do anything as I wanted to check. By the time I went inside to check he was already installing my spare and they tried to charge me for it. Thankfully I knew the whole situation wasn't right and spoke up and called around. I walked out extremely frustrated and in disbelief that females are still being treated like this in shops. I get to the new place and they side with me saying that the "issue" AAA found wasn't anything and they were able to patch it no problem. Just don't go to AAA. Maybe if I had a d**k between my legs it would be different but I don't recommend that place at all. read more

I took my car to this AAA center for an oil change, and asked that they also check if I needed new brakes. I didn't, but they charged me $72 just for checking. No other repair shop charges for a brake inspection; that's how they get brake jobs. Now I know why this AAA repair center was empty. I spoke with the manager and he said, "Corporate sets the fees." So I tried to find someone in AAA corporate that would explain the charge. Everyone I talked to said it wasn't their job, and sent me on to another department that said the same thing. Apparently, AAA has become a bloated bureaucracy. After 40 years a member, I'm cancelling my membership. read more

Nice new location with many drink options and decent seating for waiting. I went here for basic oil change on my old truck. It took about an hour but I was fine with that as They were able to fit me in. They did a great job of identifying many potential areas that may need to be looked into for further work. We were on our way back from Tahoe to San Diego, with two dogs. We left the keys in the key Dropbox thinking you'd be open. If you get this message PLEASE help us get the keys out of the lockbox. I have AAA for literally everything. I have the membership card. I have their renters and auto insurance. I exclusively go to their auto repair shop if I need something taken care of. I am a very loyal customer and have been for the past 7 years (although their system will only show 2 years because I was under my dad's account). I have never had so many problems with their services all because of 1 visit. I went to the auto repair shop to get my routers cleaned, filters and fluids replaced, and the brakes checked and/or replaced. I go to America's Tire for my tires. Today, I popped a tire. Naturally, I called AAA. They told me it would be an hour long wait- which is normal. I had a spare and the tools. I know how to change a tire so I started doing it. This particular tire was last touched by AAA. To begin with, there is a certain level of force that it should take to get the bolt off. It was so excessively tightened that it took about 5 minutes of me full on jumping on the wrench to finally get it to loosen enough to pop off. When I got to the last bolt, I realized that they had not only cross threaded the bolt but they had also stripped it, so despite anything I was going to try, it was not going to come off. They had put this one bolt on so incorrectly, that it dented my rim. In addition, another one of my tires got a nail in it a few months back. I couldn't change it because the auto repair shop had stolen the key to the lock on my tire. They resolved this by making me go buy myself a new one and reimbursing me for it. The process to get it reimbursed took a month and a half. I quickly realized that this probably wasn't going to come off with me and my little wrench. After an hour, I called them to check in and they told me they still didn't have an ETA for my driver. My dad (a retired mechanic) and my fiancé went and purchased power tools to get it off with. After using these tools, they still could not get the bolt off. The AAA driver was absolutely amazing. I don't blame him for not being able to get to me for 2 & a half hours because he was slammed tonight. He was so helpful. He was able to get the bolt off and quickly changed my tire. He thanked me for my patience and was so kind and professional. If I could, I would give Sedrick 5 stars. I don't blame him for the wait because AAA is clearly understaffed if it took him 2 & a half hours to get to me. He got to me when he could and I appreciated my encounter and interaction with Sedrick. I will however be having words with whoever oversees this location because I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the lack of accountability and reliability of your sketchy work. You've lost my business. The only reason I am awarding you 1 star is out of necessity, not because you've done anything worthy to deserve it. read more
