Highly recommend for insurance repairs. A (probably substance impaired) driver backed into my car. Ugh. What a pain. I will say, though, that working with my insurance (Progressive) and Caliber Collision was incredibly easy. I used my app, and Progressive set up my appointment with the body shop and arranged for a rental car to be brought to Caliber, so that everything was there for me. I arrived for my appointment, and everything was set up. The front desk even was able to call Enterprise to make sure they were on their way with the rental car. We reviewed the damage on my car, and the tech explained what work would need to be done. Including the rental car, I was on my way back home within an hour, which is amazing. Caliber kept me up to date with the progress of my car via text, and when it was ready for pick up, they both texted and called. I showed up, dropped off my rental car key, paid my deductible, and left, all in less than half an hour. Everyone there was super polite, and everything felt organized and orderly. The waiting area was clean, and they had water and coffee, if you wanted it. I hope not to have to deal with another car accident again, but if I do, I'll happily return to Caliber Collision in South Tampa. read more

This place is a money making operation for Geico Insurance which steers all claims here for appraisal. They will always attempt to total your loss first since that generates the most profit for everybody but you, the consumer. They will low ball your offer based on book value and give no option but to accept. Then they sell your vehicle to a partner scrap yard which recoups 100% plus by parting out whats left. Im sure they repair some collisions but that costs money in time and labor. Its a nice clean lobby. The workers are pleasant. They are in business with Enterprise if you need a rental through Geico. read more

Simply above and beyond. I walked into this location seeking warranty service for a repair that was made at another Caliber Collision location (out-of-state, mind you). The GM, Mr. Brandon Macak, met me and listened to my concerns. Then, immediately recommended a test drive to better understand my point of view / initial troubleshooting. After some initial mitigation efforts, we decided I'd return the next day for additional troubleshooting to ensure my satisfaction. Upon arriving at 0600 (they officially open at 0700), Brandon offered to drive me to my work location in his personal vehicle to save me the taxi fare. Then, I received an update as promised and my car was ready to be picked up about 8 hours later. Genuinely impressed with the customer service and 'hey, let's make this right' approach demonstrated by Brandon. My back right bumper was scratched at a parking lot. I took it to Caliber and they painted it. When you compare the bumper vs. metal colors in the picture, you can see how bad of a job they did matching the colors. The bumper looks yellow. I took it back to Caliber. The representative fully agreed with me and said they would fix it. Three days later, I called to see if they were done and they told me they weren't going to do anything. When I went to pick up the car, I asked to speak with the GM but was told that he was unavailable in a conference call. If you are looking for a high quality repair, I would look elsewhere. read more

I wish there was a lower option than 1. This has to be one of the worst ran body shops I've ever had to use. I was in a small collision with minimal repairs so I figured I'd take it here from the reviews being so good. Wow was I tricked by them, I've never dealt with a more screw the customer mentality before. For context my accident was the 15 of September and I brought it to this shop a few days after and I still don't have my vehicle back. It keeps being delayed I've been told it's been ready to pick up three times and each time I drive all the way up there I get told sorry there was some issue. The communication from this shop is horrible, I don't even know why they have a phone line, since when you call you rarely ever get someone on the line. My "customer service" rep Cam handling my car would never be in the office and would never call me to update on any repairs or lack there of, that were going on. To this day they have been holding my car hostage and refusing to let it go. While I was writing this I tried to call again and see what the status was on the car and to no shock nobody answered. I just picked up my car from this location. I was not at fault in the accident that I was in, and there was a woman named Jen that told me that she wouldn't give me my keys back until I paid them $250 and that I could bring it up with my insurance company if I had a problem with it. When I got upset with her she continued to escalate the issue with a "not my problem" attitude. They had even given me a courtesy call to let me know that the work was done and said nothing about any cost at that time. I just found the entire interaction unsettling. **UPDATE** - I do have to say that they did a great job with the work. The center manager did end up rectifying the situation by the end of the day. I would recommend them in terms of quality, but I would say to avoid that woman at all cost. She has some of the worst customer service skills that I have ever seen. read more

They not only took care of my bumper within a day and a half of me dropping the vehicle off, but they have rockstar staff that take you step by step of what the expectations are when working with them. When I arrived a friendly young lady had all the paperwork compiled. I had only to review & sign. Then I was greeted by the GEICO representative & the representative from Caliber. Then the Enterprise representative was there with rental car supplied by GEICO . Everyone involved was very professional & courteous . I was there 30 minutes or less. I came in spur of the moment, no appointment, as I was desperately trying to find a quick shop to go to to have some minor repair done. I pulled up to Caliber Collision and when I walked in to the main lobby I was a little nervous that it might not be possible to get in or on the other hand, really expensive based on how nice, clean and professional the lobby itself was. I walked up to the front desk and explained the situation, which was that my bumper on my Lexus lease had popped out in one part after hitting a curb and I could not get it back in. She called a tech immediately, he came out and took a look. Grabbed a tool and the bumper was literally fixed in less than 5 minutes at no charge at all. The guys name was Jason and he is in the South Tampa location. He was extremely friendly, didn't take advantage of me and really put my mind at ease about everything. I appreciated so very much the kind, quick and excellent service he provided me and I 100% recommend using Caliber Collision for any troubles big or small. I haven't had any work done here yet, but my initial experience was outstanding. A co-worker recommended Caliber Collision primarily because it's very convenient to my work location (near MacDill AFB). I just happened to stop-by on a Friday right after lunchtime to get a quick estimate for a small but very noticeable dent and some fairly deep scratches and paint transfer on my Nissan Maxima. (Yes folks, the "professionals" that work around will hit your car and leave just like anyone else will!) Although no one was at the front desk, it took only a few seconds before Brandon came out from the back office area to greet me, which is what I saw happen with other walk-ins after me too while Brandon was temporarily in the garage area; everyone was prompt, courteous, thorough, and professional. I was pressed for time but Brandon told me that the entire process should only take about 10 minutes--yeah, I've heard that before but, surprisingly, everything took right about that amount of time (TY!). In fact, Brandon had the area buffed-out so well that I hardly notice anything happened...except of course the dent. My estimate was emailed to me a couple of hours later at right about the amount that I expected. I wasn't pressured to "have to" come back if I could live with free (but temporary) solution, which I didn't ask for but was offered to me right up front--a unexpected, much appreciated bonus. (BTW, I plan to have it fixed but it's not so much of a priority now.)
