I've used this location in the past and have not had anything but good things to say about the service they provide. On my most recent visit however there were some major delays with little and poor communication. After becoming frustrated with the lack of communication on when my vehicle would be completed I called to speak with anyone who could give me an idea of when my car would be completed. I was fortunate this day that a women named Janice in the front office answered the call. She not only listened to my issues of disappointment but took the reins of the situation even though she wasn't my service advisor. She even came in early on a Saturday morning (a day they are closed) and made sure I was able to pick up my vehicle. Janice went above and beyond what she needed to and saved what had become a frustrating situation to say the least. I originally left a review on here due to the friendliness of the two front office ladies. They made the beginning process of this ordeal a lot smoother and alleviated a lot of my concerns. Now that I have my car back, I cannot praise this business enough. MY CAR IS AS GOOD AS NEW. If you saw it today, you'd never guess it was it was in a collision. Communication was A+. I never had any issues getting in contact with who I needed. They gave me constant updates regarding where my car was in the repair process. AVOID - AVOID - AVOID. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. If you look at my reviews on Google, you will see a generally positive trend. In this case, my experience was quite the opposite. I took my vehicle in for repairs under USAA claim on November 25. Three wasted weeks later, I was surprisingly told they were declining to conduct any work on my vehicle (ostensibly related to their ability to warranty their work, which makes no sense considering they never "opened it up" to fully assess the damage) and they have provided no estimate except cosmetic. During my entire experience, there was no communication that was not initiated by me with the administrative staff, only one e-mail communication from the assessor Crista and never any attempt to connect me with the general manager (referred to as "Shane") through-out the entire process. On the day of the damage assessment, Crista stated she felt there was additional damage beyond what my claim to USAA was and I indicated verbally and in an e-mail that I was willing to pay out of pocket for damage repair that was deemed outside the scope of my claim. During the first week of this ordeal there was nearly zero communication from this center to me. Additionally, each time they promised a response, I gave them a reasonable 2-3 day window before I called them back. I was told several times that they were "communicating with USAA on a higher level" to see how to proceed. I do not assign blame on the administrative staff, they were clearly taking direction from their leadership to ghost me. I must also add that when I called USAA they were completely unaware of any "additional communication" with this center. Curious. After I was informed of their refusal, I sent a note in to the general Caliber Collision inquiry box on their national website and received no response after 48 hours. I am flabbergasted at the lack of professionalism and utterly unacceptable lack of communication from Caliber regarding my vehicle repair. The whole situation feels slightly shady, I'm not sure if they can charge more to USAA than they can to me directly, but I am left to wonder. I have used other Caliber Collision centers in Alexandria, VA in the past with truly wonderful experiences and this is why I chose them from the list provided to me by USAA. They ruined my door handle, they installed my window glass incorrectly so now you can see the clear edge which is not tinted, they forgot to add the stripes to the body of my car, they had left white spots or marks in a few places which wouldn't come out, they also installed a tired that was puncture and was slowly losing air so now I have a flat tire every 2 days, they also reported the wrong return date of the car to the rental company so I was billed an extra day. they said my handle was already broken but it was clearly not, also said the glass window cannot be moved so they refused to fix it, I had to waste an extra day to go back but they did put the stripes and buffed out the white marks, however they said I puncture the tire when I drove it home and said I will have to Pay a third party company to check it and fix it, they said they will talk to the rental company to correct the problem but 2 months later of me calling both companies they never did anything, how can a company mess up every aspect of the repair process? the manager refused to take any responsibility and just blamed me. read more

One word describes the outstanding service I received here: Janice. The check-in, inspection, and checkout were superb, and the work done made the truck look brand new---but, Janice...Wow! Super friendly; went completely out of her way AFTER-HOURS as I did a key drop off; remembered me when I came into pick up the car; and here's the pièce de ré·sis·tance---she treated me so well and made the whole experience personable. She even went out of the way to use my rank and name when addressing me (I am a USAA customer). This is the second time I have taken my car to this Caliber location. I would not go to any other location or another repair shop because of their great customer service and their quality of work. They are honest and they go above and beyond. The office assistant Janice gave me her cell phone number, worked after hours, and came in before the shop had opened to help me out with scheduling issues. I was in an accident on 95; rear ended by someone with no insurance. I took my car to Caliber Collision. It took about a week to get everything done and the new bumper on. Everything looks great! Not to mention they cleaned the inside of my car, and had my baby looking GOOD! lol They also have a lifetime warranty, so if something happens to my bumper again in the future, I can bring it back and get it fixed! Initially it was a great experience at the Caliber Collision in Woodbridge, VA. I dropped my car off for repairs to the bumper after being rear ended. They said it would take a week and about a week in, they called and told me that they painted the bumper the wrong color, so they had to take it apart and repaint it. Then as they were replacing the glass to the lift gate, they scratched by tail light, they then had to order a new tail light which took an additional week to fix. When I got my car back i noticed that they 4x4 decal was missing on the back of the truck, so I had to bring my car back to fix that. Then a few days later, I noticed that they had not buffed out some paint on on my car and I had to take it back for that. I then noticed that the spoiler was sticking up on one side of the car so i took it back to fix that, they had to order another piece. They said it would take one day, and it ended up taking a week. When I got my car back, they had glued the piece down, and it the car had black goop gushing out. I had them take it back again and they gave it back to me the way I got it the first time and refused to fix it again, blamed on it on the make of the car and said that Jeeps just don't make good cars so there is nothing they can do about it. I will say that Michelle was awesome throughout the entire process, and was super understandable, but in the end, I am not happy with my car. read more

I went in on August 21, 2019 for a fender molding that was falling off which they installed. I contact them today Sept. 5 to see if my part came in (they did not have it in stock) and they guy at the front desk tells me that he will order it today. I'm actually doing this review because this shop has now been trying to fix my car for three years. Back in 2016 I took it in because someone backed in to my from bumper and it needed to be replaced. They replaced it three times because it kept falling off. Now in 2019 guess what, the front bumper is sliding down again and needs to be re-adjusted. I am not going to do any more business with this company. I suggest you stay away from them too. There is no quality control and they are wasting my time. My vehicle was towed to this company for repairs through the Good Hands Network (my IC is Allstate). On 06/07, they received my car. The first person I spoke with was pleasant (Janice) which is why they get 1 star and not zero. it wasn't until 06/14 that my estimate was completed. 06/27 was when all my parts arrive. 07/08 was the estimates repair date. All of this info was given to me by Katy Portillo ( after continuously contacting this location for crucial information like the repair completion date), who is now constantly throwing me excuses and even pushed the completion date back again to 7/13. I had enough of the excuses and lies about the order my vehicle was received having to do with the fact that my car isn't ready yet, when before I was assured that it would be ready on 7/8. Need I add that they waited until 7/7 to tell me that my car wouldnt be ready until the 13th this month. Then today I get another text explaining that the 13th may also turn into a later date because the tech working on my car doesn't know if my car is going to be next in line. I was hit in a parking lot about two months ago. Their insurance covered everything. I took my car to Caliber to get it repaired. Everything was seamless. The drop off took 5 minutes, the pick up took even less. You get progress reports via text which is helpful. It took a few days longer than expected but when I saw my bumper it was all worth it. They detailed it and it felt soooo good to be back in my car. I was actually hit AGAIN two weeks ago, this time, even worse, so once fault is settled (hit and run) I will be taking my car back to them! read more

After being rear ended I was sent to a horrible place I won't mention the name, they wanted to put a lien on my car even though I was not at fault and the other parties insurance was going to cover the repairs so I was very upset. I recently took my newer Durango to Caliber Collision, as they had good reviews on Angie's List and Yelp, plus they are an approved USAA shop. My truck was damaged in an ice storm where I slid sideways into a curb. It cracked the wheel, but no body damage. Once Caliber Collision dug into it, there was extensive damage to the wheel and everything connected to it. They did an awesome job of fixing everything and it now drives great again. Brittany helped me through the entire process. She was incredibly nice, polite, and helpful throughout the process. She sent me daily texts telling me what they found while repairing it, what still needed to be repaired, and an approximate date for completion. The Customer Service provided by Brittany was second to none. I will definitely take my truck back to them if I ever encounter another wreck (here's crossing my fingers I don't). read more

I took a Land Rover Discovery to Caliber Collision for an estimate to repair the right rear body panel which had been pushed in about 1/2 inch. They gave me an estimate for $643.27 that included $285.20 to pull out the body panel and $344.00 to paint a 3 inch by 3 inch area on the panel. I told them I did not want to paint the vehicle at this time and would pay them the $285.20 to pull out the rear panel. The manager refused to do the work, even though I explained I would be bringing the vehicle back for additional work. I cannot endorse a business that engages in taking the customer for every penny they can get. read more

Worst customer experience ever -- not sure why USAA associates themselves with Caliber Collision. The gentleman (an overstatement) who works the phones is probably the rudest person I've had the unfortunate luck of dealing with on the phone. Further, he promised to have someone meet me at their shop on two separate occasions, wasting my time going there and waiting 30+ minutes each time, only to be disappointed as no one ever showed up. On top of all that, several valued items -- including religious trinkets -- were missing from my vehicle. They claimed they had pictures of my vehicle showing the trinkets were missing when they received my car. While their pictures did show the trinkets were not there, the pictures were taken three days after they received my car. Poor service, lack of integrity, and just simply rude -- Caliber owns all three deal-breaking characteristics I will not tolerate. read more

Heather walked me thru all the steps and was very helpful in getting the vehicle removed and making sure I got all my belongings. If the car had been fixable this would be the place.
