Very disappointing experience. They do not carry Kirsch like the website states. Limited selection. Sales associate not very knowledgeable about products. We found everything ourselves. A waste of time. I would consider another store for window treatments. read more

Great experience with sales person Bonnie! Extremely helpful with helping my husband and me pick out drapes and blinds. She spent lots of time at the store with us, and offered to come to our home as well to help us make our final decisions. We took her up in her offer and are very happy we did! Awful exerience and this isn't a "you get what you pay for" situation, as I paid several thousands of dollars for custom window treatments for a new home. One room with custom shades and valances were installed with defective product on two of the three windows. (dirty fabric, wrinkly fabric) Another room....well, its been 6 months with no window treatments so I just don't have them!!! They came out twice to measure, because there was some miscommunication between what I talked about with the designer and what she told her installer. The worse part is the customer experience. I understand mistaken happen, things are delayed, manufacturers sometimes send defective merchandise. BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED one "I'm sorry for the trouble". Instead, my designer/sales person doesn't get back to me, doesn't respond to let me know when to expect corrections on the defective merchandise, my missing treatments, etc. I had to reach out to my designer three times so far to find out when the manufacturer will replace my shades.... it has been 5 weeks, without one outreach to me. One would think with a custom order, when something like this happens they would go out of their way to keep you informed about how to correct it.... And the kicker on customer service? My designer had recommended a specific pull cord for my lvg room shades -- nylon and gray. During installation I called her to tell her they were white plastic. Her respoinse "they only come in white plastic". Not, "hey I must have made a mistake, since they don't come in what I recommended". Wouldn't have been the end of the world if she didn't act like it was the most natural thing in the world that they were different than what I ordered. Awful awful experience..... and I am not that picky if I feel like a valued customer. Buyer beware. I am out thousands of dollars and am waiting to figure out how to rectify....Note you are required to pay for your merchandise ahead of time, and there is no incentive to "get it right" - almost as if they don't care about repeat customers. read more

I ordered custom Kirsch shades for my living and dining room and the color of the most expensive shades was incorrect and had other defects. The installer assured me there would be a resolution. The in home designer, Fran Lofaro, came to my house to see it and agreed it was an issue. She worked hard to get Kirsch to agree to remake the shades, coming to the house again to take pictures of the defective products. The new shades are now installed in the correct color and look beautiful. read more

My experience with the Mt.Kisco store so far has been extremely satisfying. Calico came to my home and took pictures and notes about ideas. When I went to the store she was prepared with suggestions all of which I ended up taking. They do work with outside vendors but (again) so far the work is clean and excellent. Very, very poor experience with Calico. Despite having sent pictures and detailed instructions for upholstering the chair, the chair was not done as requested. When you are paying a lot of money for a chair to be reupholstered, you expect it to be done as you have stated, and as you have illustrated.....Never again will I use them. They don't do their own work, they send it out to contract upholsters. If they can't maintain control of the instructions, you're not going to get what you ordered. This is the second time, CC has screwed up an order....Work directly with an upholsterer, not a third party like CC. read more

if i could give one star, i would. am redoing our entire living room ...have been in this store five times in the last few weeks. not ONCE has someone asked if i needed help or even said hello to me. i was the only one in the store. the sales women seemed more interested in talking to themselves than helping me. so incredibly rude. update: 5/20 Wow. Working with calico has been an absolute nightmare. I ordered curtains for my new living room on Presidents' day. After SEVERAL mistakes on measurements by the fault of the sales person, I finally got my curtains two weeks ago and SURPRISE! They were the wrong size. Not only was the rod size WAY off (by almost three inches), but the width of the curtains are wrong too - way too big for the window. I do not know anything about curtains and really relied on their expertise (my own ignorance apparently) and that was a mistake. Also when picking up the curtains, I was charged THREE times. After speaking with corporate Customer Service, I was refunded. Safe to say they have lost my business & I will be discouraging any of my friends looking to get upholstery done from going here. Would suggest buying fabric and taking it elsewhere to get work done. Furious and disappointed would be an understatement. read more

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I paid a couple of thousand dollars for custom window treatments and I feel like I threw that money out. A person from Calico Corners took the measurements and did a terrible job! The cornices were out of proportion to the windows. Also, the recommendation of the saleswoman for colors to go with a plaid were horrible. The colors were dingy and the rope accent was so small (on the enormous cornices) it was not even noticeable. At first, the manager was responsive. She came to the house and agreed that the cornices were out of proportion and the colors looked dingy. She said that she would speak to her manager to see what they could do. I left five messages for her and she never got back to me. In my last message I asked her to send the installer over to take down the new window treatments and reinstall my old ones. She never called me back. I had to take down the new window treatments and reinstall the old ones myself. Many years ago I was a loyal customer of Calico Corners but after this experience I would NEVER use them again! read more

Went there today and I left after waiting 20 minutes for someone to help me. I have shopped in this store for many years because it is the only large fabric store that is convenient to where I live, and the customer experience has been consistently awful. The sales help and designers are unhelpful and rarely acknowledge you if you stand at the counter waiting to be helped. This store only survives because of the paucity of local competition. I will use fabric stores in Manhattan, southern westchester or connecticut rather than spend another minute in this place. What a shame that they have such shabby customer service. read more

I had read all the negative reviews on Yelp and was very reluctant to go here, but I live around the corner and was having trouble finding the fabric I wanted for my new living room sofa and chairs so I took a chance. Initially, I was not impressed. True to the reviews, much of the staff seemed rather cold and unfriendly. Then I met Fran. She was awesome. She listened to what I wanted and patiently helped me look through countless catalogues until we found the right fabric for me. She also came to my house (free of charge) to make sure my choices would "work" in the room I was getting them for. The furniture arrived ahead of schedule and I love it. Excellent quality, and reasonably priced since I ordered them during a sale time. If you go there, ask for Fran. Thank you Fran!!! read more

My husband and I are very disappointed with the way they handled the curtains on our doors. We were looking for privacy curtains for double french doors located in a room with a low ceiling. The clearance is 2.125" between ceiling and the top of the door. We discussed this tight clearance with the calico rep; we needed curtains that would be flush mounted with the ceiling. The calico corners rep assured us that Calico had the hardware mount we needed to clear the door. After two visits to measure the curtains were installed. The installer was saying goodbye when my husband inspected the job and noted that it was obvious that the curtain rod the door preventing the door from opening more than 2". My husband called the installer back in. The guy then bent the rod so it bowed in the middle in order to allow the door to open....hmmm. The Calico installer had an idea how to jury-rig the rod but didn't have the tools with him at the time. When he returned he installed hardware that he had drilled through with a hand drill - he had to cut a larger hole (which was now jagged) in the cuff of the ceiling mount. The cuff with the newly enlarged jagged hole was installed lopsided and revealed the underlying hardware through a large gap on the side. The calico installer screwed this cuff into the ceiling using fat hex screws (typically used in construction). And to top it off the door still rubbed. We called our rep and wrote multiple emails asking that this be fixed. I looked online and found flush mount hardware with a 1" profile but I was informed that Calico doesn't carry it and wouldn't install it for us even if I bought it. We asked Calico for our installation money back. Calico sent over a new installer to review the work and promised to correct any mistakes. This new guy reviewed the work and insisted that the project was well executed AND he he stated that door did not rub against the curtain rod.
