We went to Fuji's Japanese Steakhouse first and left after a horrible experience at check in to come here. They took care of us so well! They were more than happy to accommodate us and even sang Happy Birthday to my 91 year old Momma. They understood that we wished to be seated while my daughter that she hadn't seen in 5 years and my Granddaughter she had never seen plus my daughters husband she had never met came in separately. They wanted to surprise her and unlike Fugi's who refused service at all until our whole party of 6 was in the lobby even though we explained the special occasion, they showed us so much grace and treated us well. Stopped here for dinner on our way back home to Dallas. My husband and I shared the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and the catfish dinner with fried okra and Mac-n-cheese for our entree'. We were pleasantly surprised when our waitress presented us with a basket of warm, delicious (complimentary) cinnamon rolls! I prefer icing on my cinnamon rolls but I certainly didn't miss it on these. The fried green tomatoes were enjoyable. The catfish, however, stole the show! The cornmeal breading was light and flavorful and didn't detract from the fish, itself. The portion size, of about six catfish strips, was more than generous! Our server was very engaging and hospitable and offered us to-go cups to take our drinks with us on the road. All in all... a great stop!! A group of us were doing shift work and got the thanksgiving dinner the day before Thanksgiving. We heated it up for Thanksgiving and it was delicious. Reheating wasn't a problem as I thought it might have been. The turkey was flavorful and juicy, not at all dry. The sides added to the dining experience, but by far the best was the cinnamon rolls that came with the meal. They were soft and had the right amount of sweetness and lots of cinnamon. We got a lot of food for the money though that could also have been partly because we bought enough to feed about 30 people. I've never been here in person but the take out was great. read more

My wife had the meatloaf and I had the chicken fried steak. Everything was wonderful! Hot and tasty including the fresh out of the oven peach cobbler we shared. Great iced tea as well, served in large iced tea glasses with abundant ice! I told my wife, you know when you are finally in the south when they have the proper size glasses for iced tea. What's not to love? One of my top four favorite places in Fort Smith to eat. We eat here at least bi-weekly.
