We live in Northern California & I was looking for a specific 2001 car for my son, i'm so glad we ended up at CAR, a family business run by really nice husband and wife team (Bill & Angela). Of all places, in LA, can you believe it? The key here is that Bill is a mechanic turned car dealer. Hence I don't get the negative car salesman experience, and he makes sure he gets the right car to sell & the car is in a good mechanical condition before he sells it. When I asked, he told me certain things about the car that was not captured by Carfax. When I had them take the car to nearby garage for pre-purchase inspection, the owner of that shop, who has been in the same location for 50 years, told me that he didn't know how an honest guy like Bill could make a living as a car dealer. A third-party validation like that gave me the peace of mind I needed to seal the deal. Interestingly, they only open for a few hours on Saturday and close on Sunday. This dealership offers the very best in service and a great selection in used cars. I walked into the dealership lot and was greeted by Angela. I told her the type of vehicle I was looking for and that I had been on their website looking at their cars. I was lucky to find a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox that had only 67,000 miles. I looked at the car and the body was exceptional. At that time I met Bill who told me to look inside. Inside was beautiful also. I could see that it had been detailed and smelled good. Bill went to start the car, but it wouldn't start. He told me the car hadn't been started in awhile and he then used a charger to get it started. we went for a drive and the car drove perfectly. After the drive, I told him I was interested in the car and he told me he would put a new battery in it. The battery arrived before I finished the paperwork and Bill had installed it in record time. Bill is a ASE certified mechanic. Pretty impressive. Angela did the paperwork and was very timely, even with me asking her questions. I have to say that I really felt comfortable there at their dealership. I know that sounds crazy, but Bill and Angela really know how to make you feel at home. After a long day of dead ends looking for a Prius I arrived here. The first place I went the boss had taken the Prius to run errands. Well off to the the next spot in Anaheim and as I got to the dealer ship a lady was signing and driving off in the car I wanted. DAMMIT! Priuses are in demand in Southern Califonira huh? Finally I got here... They had the car I wanted in a color I wanted and it was roomy and it was a deal. There was no wiggle room on the price but it was already a pretty decent deal. This little place is awesome not your big dealer or your typical used dealer either. They are truly a family based dealer that has so much to offer. I live in Orange County so I shopped around online and there website and then took the plunge and did the pre approval I got a call that I was approved and asked if I wanted come in and see the car. Luckily I went right when they opened the next morning .... as I'm getting the key to check out the car a man comes in to check out the car I didn't hesitate I bought it!
