EXTORTION? 2) Second issue is minor in comparison, but during the buying process I had to sit for an hour and a half while John tried to get the CC machine to work. It never did, so I had to drive back down there the next day with a Cashier's Check. Beware!!

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

I have been to many dealerships and many have overlooked me due to my credit history, although I had a good paying job... History from 6 1/2 years ago was still affecting me. I have always purchase my cars off the street because all you had to do was pay cash and the car was yours. It just became a waste of money because the car would have problems later that would cost me more than what I paid for. I finally told myself "enough is enough". I had a car that would overheat after driving for 10 minutes, which became frustrating especially when my job is 85% traveling. I wanted a car from a dealership but wasn't too excited to deal with the big dealerships because they have always had something to say which would prevent me from getting a car without a co-signer. Suddenly, I went to Yelp and looked over car dealerships with the best reviews, and then I FOUND IT "CARSTERS" right down the street from me! I went in submitted my application, and had mentioned that I wanted to be in a new car by the weekend which was a couple of days away... They said don't worry, we will do that for you! I was nervous because of the bad luck I have had in the past. The next day I received a message that I had gotten the car (BTW A CAR I DIDN'T THINK I COULD GET)! It was unreal, until I went in their office later that day, took the car for a spin and finally signed the papers and had the keys by the end of the night. I was desperate for a car and I call around to several dealers - they ask me to come to their dealer - I told them I don't have a car. This guy - this guy... was amazing and AWESOME DUDE 11/2019 - I was at the hospital - daughter going through labor. -He calls me and asks me if I still wanted to look at the Jeep Patriot. I told him I do, but I don't have a car. He offers to pick me up - I told him that I am at the Choc hospital. He picks me up and takes me to Huntington beach and got me a car that I wanted. I contact my Credit Union... BAM. Everything went smoothly, he drove me to my Credit Union - I sign the papers and I took the car home. I pick up my daughter at the hospital with my granddaughter. I LOVE LOVE this person. HE makes things happen for you. this year - My daughter brought her car... yip.. (the photo of me carrying my granddaughter with the white Chevrolet car) - did the same thing. I came and drove the car out that same day. The loan was approved by his financial bank. I had an incredible experience with Carster. They found me a great deal on exactly the car I wanted. Their price was better than the best internet quotes I had received. They also got me a very good price on my trade-in (around the high end of what KBB showed). I worked with Nick (NS) on the deal - He is great, communicative, and quick to respond to any questions. I texted him and his response time was within 2 minutes. He was like which car you are buying gave him details. He gave me the price which was 10% less than Internet Fleet Director with whom I spent nearly like 30 minutes negotiating on price on 4th of July Weekend. I couldn't imagine a better experience. No negotiating over price, no bargaining over my trade-in, no spending hours at the dealership trying to close the deal, and best of all, no dealing with a finance manager trying to twist my arm into buying all kinds of options I didn't want. I had an amazing experience at Carster! I was having trouble with my financial institution. I had financing, then i didn't, then i did, I had to do financing with Carster. Later, that day my financial institute said my financing was approved. The Carster team was understanding, patient,&helpful. They could have said, too bad you already signed the paperwork with the much higher interest rate. Instead they were understanding, patient,& helpfu. They were willing to meet me at their office at 9:30pm that day. We resolved the situation&paperwork within an hour. I got an amazing deal on a Toyota Sienna! It was in great shape with new brakes&rotors. They even delivered it to my residence. I had the greatest experience at Carster. They were understanding, patient,&helpful! Just sold my used 2012 Elantra to Nick at CARSTER! When I purchased my car last week I got low balled by the dealer so I didn't sell to him. They quoted below Kelly Blue book. And my car is in decent condition. I got some better quotes from CARMAX and KBB dealers but decided not to go with them based on reviews. I yelped and found CARSTER and am so glad I came in. The process didn't take more than 30 minutes. Nick took a very thorough test drive of my vehicle. I was impressed - no wonder people buy their used cars here - I would probably recommend people here to buy their used cars in the future. I personally have always been hesitant to buy a used vehicle because of ignorance on cars but I got a very good vibe from Nick and would definitely turn here if if I was buying a used vehicle. If you're going to buy a car you must come to the folks at Carster. My pregnant wife and toddler were in need of an upgrade to our vehicle and we specifically needed to get into a SUV. From the start, the customer service was excellent, friendly, accurate and very easy going the opposite of what occurs at other dealerships. There's little to no wait time and they even put in cartoons for my little one and answers all our questions with ease. We purchased a vehicle priced competitively to save us money. They were flexible with us as it was a Sunday and invested time in us to get approved for financing even on a Sunday! Nick was a pleasure to do business with. He carefully explained everything about the car I was buying, made it easy to agree upon a price, and I drove away with the car I wanted. I looked around a lot for the car I wanted and I don't think you can beat the price. I almost gave this four stars because when I had my mechanic check out the car it was obvious that the oil hadn't been changed for 7000 miles past the due date. It was a quart low and almost black. This was a great experience for my daughter and I, since it's been 20 years since I been at a car dealership and Nick and his father Pete were really pleasant and courteous and got the job done ,we communicated by via email and text message I was able to submit my information on his website and he got me approved before I got to his dealership which saved us a lot of time I drove two hours to purchase my 2006 Chevy Tahoe with low miles and I am very satisfied and well worth it I do highly recommend carster , we will be back with other family members ,allso I got a great deal and very affordable. After weeks of searching for the right SUV, Nick at Carster found us just what we were looking for. Came in a few weeks ago to check out a vehicle we seen online but it was sold minutes before we got there. Nick told us if we were willing to wait he would find us another. Im so happy we waited because Nick came through for us with a Suburban in great condition. The service we received was great and Nick was so helpful through out the whole process from start to finish. He even called the next day to see how we liked the car and if everything with the vehicle was ok. I would definitely recommend Carster read more

Today I just got my first car, it was such a rush. I was just suppose to look at a car. And before you know it I am calling my mom to tell her that I need to be added on her car insurance. The whole process was very exciting, scary, and just overall overwhelming since I was a first time buyer. But Nick and Luke are so calm and mellow that they really made me feel safe. I would totally buy another car from here if I had more money but for now I'm happy with my new whip. Thank you again Nick and Luke you guys are great. You made me and my girlfriend a happier couple. Purchased my first car with Carster. Nick and his dad were very nice and super patient. They were kind enough to stay past closing time to help us make the purchase. I felt horrible for making them stay long because I was very indecisive on the car BUT they were the sweetest and made sure it was no bother. Also, after buying my car Nick would text me to follow up on other paper work that I needed to do, so that was nice. They are very good w customer service I assure you that they will do whatever it takes to make their customers happy and leave w a car that's right for YOUR budget. read more

This has been the best car buying experience by far. I bought a 2014 Toyota Prius with CARSTER. My experience with Nick was really good and he took good care of my needs. I've been to many car stores but this was the best experience and you get best prices here. I didn't have a very well established credit history but Nick got me approved in minutes that too with Zero down and 4% apr. I recommend CARSTER for anyone who is serious about buying a used car. I was out one Saturday trying to find a car with 5 dealers on my list. CARSTER was my first stop. It was so easy that I was able to decide right there. First, I liked the car, 2nd, the people at the dealership were just so pleasant and easy to deal with, 3rd I found the price fair because I researched before I went car shopping. I am from Torrance and it was worth the drive. My overall reason for not even looking further and wasting more time car shopping is, I found Nick a really pleasant guy, easy to deal with and honest. Just moved to California and saw a great deal on a Toyota Camry at Carster and was interested. I was hesitant about buying a used car from someone I didn't know but I saw that Carster had nearly perfect reviews online. After going into Carster and working with Nick the manager I can see why. Extremely helpful, honest and got me a great deal on exactly the car I wanted. I looked around a bit at other dealers in the area and he was a lot more honest and straightforward than nationwide car dealers that I knew from before. read more

Found the car I wanted at Carster on Beach Boulevard it was exactly what I was looking for. I test drove the vehicle with the sales associate Kosh. The car drove great, I came back a day later to sign the deal, I was in and out super quick they made it really easy. This was my first car buying experience and I have to say Cartser was amazing, everyone was very friendly, and knew what they were doing. The manager even put in the Type of music I like. I've put about 700 miles on my 2019 Camry and I love it. I will definitely recommend WMC and Kenny to my friends and family and I'll be checking with him as soon as I need another car.
