When they sold me my 2010 Prius in June of 2024, they didn't mention that it was under a manufacturer's recall due to Toyota's faulty paint job. I only found out about the recall when the paint started peeling in May of 2026, and that's also when I learned that the recall only lasted till May of 2025. So I had to pay full price at Maaco on Harbor Blvd. to get the car repainted instead of getting it free since I didn't know anything about the problem before the recall expired. And while the car was at Maaco getting repainted, the brake line started leaking. They called the mechanics at Rallysport across the street, and they discovered that the whole underside of the car is corroded. The mechanic even suggested that the car had to have more miles on it than the odometer said judging from the amount of rust and the wear on the brake pads. But at least the brakes failed when it was in the shop rather than when I was out driving... read more

My husband and I had the pleasure of of purchasing a 2008 Mercedes C-class convertible from Carster a few weeks ago. The owner, Nick was a dream to deal with, as was Juan our sales representative. There was no pressure whatsoever, and they bent over backwards to get us the best financing deal they could. The car itself was IMMACULATE! We felt confident in the pre-sale inspection that was performed when they received it. We were also impressed that they offered a 3-day return policy to give us time to have it checked out independently. Note: there is a small fee to take advantage of this option, which is only fair. Otherwise, you'd be getting a free rental! We were also impressed with our price negotiation. The vehicle was initially priced $2,000 lower when it was first advertised, but had been raised by the time we arrived for a test drive. We understood this to be because they had received so much interest in the car. We were there on a Friday and there is no doubt in my mind it would have been gone by the weekend. When we asked about the price difference, Nick and Juan were happy to honor the initial advertised price we had seen. They didn't have to do that. This car easily would have sold at the higher price, it is GORGEOUS and looks brand new! Now that we have had this beauty for a few weeks we are happier than ever.
