We order pickup from this Culver's at least once a week. The food is always on time and fresh.

I waited 15 min after checking in, just sitting in the pick up spot, after well past my pick up time i go into the store and tell them i'm here for pick up & told them my name. I got my food within 2-3 min of walking in but sat while 3 other customers in the same check in spot as me were served. When I went into the store my food was sat up top clearly ready to be brought out but it wasn't and then to top it off my tea was spilled on the insane of my drink carrier. I think it's because i'm black and the name on the order clearly belongs to an african american, 3 customers some i even arrived before were served and my food was sat out & ready when i went in. Disappointed & disgusted. On JUNETEENTH none the less? I promise I won't be back. read more

I've ate at this Culver's multiple times and it's been a struggle. When it's busy staff doesn't seem to communicate well with each other, so you can tell someone you are there for an order and it just sits because that member disappears or moves on. It results in melted ice cream and cold food. They also advertise on their home pages speciality burgers but their location doesn't carry them. All around just a non great Culver's. read more

I ordered my meal using the website. I clicked on Delivery, but it kept switching back to the curbside. I called and explained what had happened, and the man said they don't deliver. I'm surprised to see so many bad reviews of this particular location. I thought it was one of the better Culver's that I've ever been to. The interior was as clean as it could ever be, topped by friendly service and fresh-tasting food. Yes, I mean fresh. And the location is quite good too, just off the highway. Indy Culver's was a great lunch stop while traveling from the Dayton area to the St Louis area. It's not far off the interstate and has ample parking. We ate in as we wanted a break from the road. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The dining area was also very clean and comfortable. Culver's food is always great and we were very pleased! Service was fast and friendly. They also have a military/first responders/senior discount that you need to ask for and takes the edge off travel expenses. I had the double Wisconsin Swiss burger on a Gluten Free bun and made it a basket. My grandson had the double butter burger basket and we were both very pleased with our meals. They also have a drive through if you need to get back on the road quickly. Culver's is a great option! read more

I've always come to this place as a regular customer, til I found something nasty in my grilled chicken sandwich, a long strand of hair, and I threw up after saw it in my sandwich. Workers need to keep their hair up, or wear hairnet when they're around the foods!!! Always make sure there's no hair on their clothes as well. read more

Awesome service and the food was great. We had the fish dinner it was tender and the taste was really good. And we also had soup, the taste was great. Everyone was very pleased with the food. I've never had an issue when coming to this Culver's. Everyone is so friendly and the service was crazy fast when I came during the lunch hour. You don't really see the lines that's crazy at the drive thru. I appreciate them repeating my order before I pull around to the window. The signage could be a bit better because people tend to enter from the hotel side and sometimes when you're not looking-you could get involved in a car crash. I will admit that I was more than a little surprised when I found out that Wisconsin-based chain Culver's was opening up shop at 21st and Shadeland Avenue by building a new location on the Northeast corner of this busy but always questionable corner. They opened up yesterday, 8/30/2021, and that should be considered as there's definitely more than a few bugs needing to be worked out. For those unaware, Culver's was started in Sauk City, Wisconsin by Craig and Lea Culver along with Craig's parents. They began serving up their beloved "Butterburgers" along with frozen custard. It took them a while to expand into Indiana, though they've undeniably prospered here and they continue to grow. As a chain, they continue to have a strong family focus and owners are actually required to work in the restaurants. Culver's also limits how many franchises one person can own - primarily because they are actually required to work in their locations. For several years, my mother was the sales rep for Central Indiana Culver's locations and sold them a good majority of their food. I got to know most of the area owners and general managers fairly well and have always liked Culver's. I've historically gone to 56th & Post, though this new location is actually closer to my home now. We'll see if I end up making this my regular spot. This is such a weird location. It can definitely be a rough area. However, Culver's has picked a highly visible spot. It's a rather large restaurant with a two-lane drive-thru that narrows into one lane to pick up the order. The hotels/motels around this area range from a fairly decent Marriott to a rebuilt/renamed budget hotel that used to house area sex offenders to a Rodeway Inn that always makes me think of that famous movie line "I love the smell of napalm in the morning." Maybe I'm stereotyping a bit, but this just doesn't feel like a Culver's neighborhood. That said, the drive-thru line was slamming this evening. Culver's shares a parking lot with Candlewood Suites. It appears they've actually built a small road into this area and Culver's actually has quite a bit of space. Signs tell you how to get to the drive-thru. As I noted, there are two lanes for ordering. Tonight, there was a guy handing out numbers and once you got up to the ordering area you gave them your number. For the most part, they seemed to have orders ready by the time people got to the window. I'm not sure who designed the drive-thru. It's a bit wonky. While the two-lane concept is a good idea, the inner lane actually requires that you turn slightly left into the line for the pick-up window. This means that you're depending on the kindness of the outer lane to actually follow order and let you in. There are a lot of places I'll depend on kindness - 21st and Shadeland isn't one of them. That said, I got a bit lucky tonight and it worked pretty well. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich value basket with an unsweetened iced tea. A few things of note: First, they didn't have large cups. It seems weird to me that you have a grand opening and people can't order a large drink. I had this same issue at another Culver's recently - I'm assuming they're having some sort of supply issue. Secondly, the drive-thru was fairly slow tonight. I'm assuming people are learning their jobs. Here's hoping that gets worked out. Third, the food was no more than warm by the time I got it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the usual Culver's quality. Fourth, I'd swear the guy handing out numbers was openly carrying. Maybe he wasn't, but it sure looked like it. I get that the area is rough, but that just struck me as weird (and I'm hoping I was wrong. I have no issues with carrying, but having an employee open carrying in your restaurant uniform is a bit off-putting). The restaurant itself seems a bit unfinished. The canopy over the drive-thru looked flimsy. The usual Culver's design is fine, but this just seemed unfinished. Overall, this was definitely a mid-range visit. The employees were friendly, including the guy in the parking lot - actually, he was super friendly. I'll certainly return and will update my review if the bugs get worked out of their system. For now, this location of Culver's is definitely a work in progress. read more

Very poor experience! Placed order in drive-thru and paid with ease. Was given a number and pulled forward. Waited over 20 minutes watching everyone else get their orders. When I tried to call them they didn't answer the phone! Food was lukewarm at best with a bashful apology for the wait. Will not be returning to this location! read more

Any Culver's open for a period of time get it exactly right. Ordered the butter bunned sandwich and a caramel milkshake. They brought the food out fast and I slow sipped the heck out of that milkshake. I just love custard style milk shakes. We have a new Culver nearby my house but they haven't gotten it right yet. I was very surprised to see a Culver's open up by my job but was happy to have another food location near me. The line was pretty fast as well as the food considering that I know they can take awhile to bring stuff out. The parking lot/drive thru was very confusing. The customer service was decent. Everything was good but came up to 29 for 2 people! Coulda went to apples for that price or steak n shake for half the price. This new location for Culver's is not well-designed. You have to turn off of 21st Street and make your way through a poorly marked parking lot just to find the drive-through lanes. The people who have just received their drive-through orders are dumping out at the same entrance road where others are trying to come in. After ordering and paying, the cars sit in two lanes waiting for the orders to come out, and once you get your food, there is no escape until everyone in front of you has moved their car. Tonight I ordered only a concrete with no mixers, and I waited 40 minutes to get it. By the time it came, it was soup. On my previous visit, I ordered some pints to go and had to finally call the restaurant from the waiting line (after 45 minutes) because they had forgotten my order altogether. Not the usually good experience I have had at other locations. I would avoid until they have had a chance to work the kinks out. read more

I ordered a coffee and they didn't bring it out to the table. I went back to counter and asked for it about 15 minutes later. The employee just laughed and walked away. She brought back 2 other employees who were also amused. A few minutes later, the manager said he couldn't believe no one knew how to make coffee so he gave them a tutorial. I had a flight to catch so I had to leave without my coffee. My first negative experience at a Culver's. Sad. read more

All because of the gentleman's customer service. He was amazing! I also noticed while eating he went above and beyond for this company. He was cleaning tables, using a machine to clean floors, checking on customers fine in experience! Indy needs more people like him! He also took our order and knew exactly what was the salad ingredients! Good job on this hire! We ordered 2 meals at the drive thru with a drink. After 30 minutes, we had to go inside as they appeared to have lost our order. The entire set up of the drive thru allows for you to be easily forgotten and left. We will not return. read more
